My Newsdesk combines the basic elements that you would expect of this type of service - contacts, distribution etc. But where it wins otu is in its ability ot have a customised online newsroom which can be designed to look like part of your company website, and acts as a destination for all media inquiries. Occasional software glitches aren't unknown - importing contacts from Excel spreadsheets in particular can be a little prone to crashing. We used this to replace a Press page on the website which was resource heavy, in that every story or image for publication had to be uploaded by a member of the web team, who were already under enormous work pressure.
