Upsides are that placement and orientation content are in the same place for ease of use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hard to navigate, reports aren't easy to get, doesn't have a place for all student info, can't sometimes find a placement without the request id Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like how easy it is to use. It helps me stay organized with all of my students across my many sites, and I can manage everything with just a few clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes switching between screens and similar tasks can be a pain. It would be nice to have a way to find a student across multiple sites without having to jump around so much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Centralized tracking, secure document management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Steep learning curve, not great training. Hard to find answers to simple questions. Work tickets take several weeks to complete. Unable to make changes to our own documents. Unable to make changes to employees/locations. Troubleshooting an issue with student acct is difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The tabs on the student's profile, especially the checklist.
It is easy to get help when needed, very fast response time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To me, mCE is very user unfriendly. It is not intuitive. I create one-off schedule requests and I have not yet been able to find my requests. I have to look each student up individually or search the request by Request #. It would help me a lot to have my roster on my home page.
I also would be so grateful if I could delete the messages out of my account. I do not like leaving a lot of extra in the messages, not to mention, that in-box is not user friendly either.
I know that mCE and TCPS just merged. It would be great if mCE could take some pages from TCPS as it is easy to navigate, find my students, and update their files. I do not have "messages" on the site, they just kindly notify me through my email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hello Cyndi -
Thank you for sharing your experience and for highlighting what’s working well, especially the student profile tabs and the responsiveness of our Support Team.
We also want you to know that we hear your concerns about navigation, locating one-off schedule requests, and managing messages. Your feedback is valid, and these are areas we’re actively working to improve. Over the past two years, we’ve invested in dedicated UX design resources to modernize key workflows, simplify the homepage experience, and make common tasks, like finding requests, more intuitive.
Your comparison to TCPS would be helpful too. We’re thoughtfully evaluating elements of TCPS that supported users well and incorporating those strengths into myClinicalExchange, where they add value.
Thank you for trusting myClinicalExchange to help your students meet their clinical clearance requirements. Feedback like yours directly shapes our ongoing enhancements.
They always have support available that is quick to answer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software is very hard to use. There is not an easy way to add a request, and when you run into a problem, it takes a lot of emails to get it fixed. I almost always have issues with finding where to get a site added, where to schedule a student (Which is done by clicking on a number that has not hink as this is where you click to schedule students), or what the next step is in the process. We only use the software when a site requires it. I track 200 plus students each term, and there is no way I would want to use this software to do so. It was originally written for one company and then pushed out to others. I have had to use it for about 10 years, and I still find it illogically put together. If there were more help on the main screen, such as a list of steps that then takes you to the location to do the step, along with pop-outs explaining what each button or selection does. As a former software tester, this is the least user-friendly software I have worked with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hello Lisa -
Thank you for sharing your feedback and for recognizing the quick support you receive from our team.
We understand how difficult some workflows can feel, especially around adding requests, finding sites, and knowing the next steps. Managing more than two hundred students each term gives you an important perspective, and your suggestions for clearer guidance and in-product help are very helpful.
We have been investing in user experience and are actively reviewing older workflows like scheduling, request creation, and homepage navigation to make them more intuitive.
Thank you for being a long-time user and for offering such detailed input. Feedback like yours directly informs the improvements we are working on.
Not anything at the moment. Needs a total overhaul. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It’s very hard to find information in this system. I have to click through multiple links just to locate what I’m looking for. Getting ahold of a live person for support is next to impossible—I’ve submitted help tickets and still haven’t gotten a response. It also makes it too difficult to make changes to programs because you can’t get ahold of anybody. And when I do finally reach someone, I get the runaround and am told to join one of the webinars. I don’t want to watch a webinar; I want to talk to somebody. Overall, the system feels very clunky and not intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how you can add comments to specific schools, and it notifies them. It takes out the extra step of emailing someone and allows me to add the comments for other people to see. It's easier. I also like that it's very easy to set up. Overall, I like it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This system in helpful in applying for Clinical Rotations to multiple health systems. The platform is straightforward, and students can navigate it well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This platform requires students to pay a fee, which is a downside. Also it is difficult to contact sites unless a rotation is approved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been using myClinicalExchange by HealthStream since 2020, and I really appreciate how it facilitates placing our RN and LVN nursing students into their clinicals. It's a system that not only lets us see the available options but also supports our students in reaching their goals in their nursing programs. I value the ability to store information and the ease of requesting clinical placement dates, as well as our increased access to more clinical affiliates. Additionally, I found the setup process to be smooth, with access to helpful agents and YouTube tutorials, which ensured everything was explained clearly. I like that the system sends emails and that it encourages student accountability by having them upload their own documentation. This has streamlined our operations, as it allows all documentation to be organized in one place, speeding up student placements into clinicals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find the onboarding process challenging, as it relies heavily on manually entering data through Excel sheets, which is prone to human errors, especially spelling mistakes with students having similar names. This process feels cumbersome and increases the likelihood of mistakes. Additionally, I miss the feature that allowed us to see what other schools were requesting, which helped in making informed decisions and negotiating placements. Another issue is the lack of integration with Castle Branch, which means that our students' clinical documentation is stored separately, complicating our workflow. Hello Tyra -
It is great to hear how myClinicalExchange has supported your RN and LVN placements and helped streamline documentation and scheduling since 2020. We appreciate you sharing the specific ways it has improved visibility, organization, and student accountability.
Your points about onboarding challenges and manual data entry are very helpful. We know Excel based uploads can introduce errors, and we are actively reviewing onboarding workflows to make them easier and more intuitive. Students can also create their own accounts directly, which may help reduce duplicate entry.
We also understand the value of seeing other schools’ requests and the need for smoother coordination. Your note about Castle Branch is important as well, and we continue to explore opportunities for deeper integrations.
Thank you for such thoughtful feedback. Insights like yours directly guide future improvements to myClinicalExchange.
