"Fast and efficient platform and solution for test coverage and automation"

What do you like best about MuukTest?

Our company recently faced a crucial decision – hire a QA engineer to expand our test coverage, a process that would have taken somewhere between six to nine months, or explore other, more innovative solutions. In our search for alternatives, we came across the MuukTest QA testing automation platform.

MuukTest offered us a proof of concept, which we gladly accepted. They quickly helped us attain 95% test coverage - a level of efficiency we simply couldn't have achieved on our own in that timeframe. While we had always taken pride in our clean code, we were suprised by the number of tests our platform was initially failing.

What we now appreciate the most is the peace of mind MuukTest provides. Their testing automation operates unobtrusively in the background, while they deliver comprehensive and robust reports on the results.

In addition, we have been very impressed with the MuukTest team. Their dedication, customer service, and the extent to which they value us as a customer, has been nothing short of remarkable.

What do you like best about MuukTest?

Running the test cases in the Muuk cloud without the need for any previous cloud-related setup and the ability to run a big group of test cases with a single click. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuukTest?

The low test cases readability, in order to know what a test case is meant to do you only have the name and the technical step defined, we can't attach a description to each step to make it easy to read for other people different from the test creator.

What do you like best about MuukTest?

Integrating MuukTest into our product development lifecycle has been more challenging. We are seeking to have dedicated MuukTest resources within our pods where they can own the test case development and overall execution of regression prior to deployment. Also we have been experiencing challenges with how MuukTest integrates well with Shipyard, which is our ephemeral development environments where the testing should occur. What do you like best about MuukTest?

MuukTest frees us from the hassles of setting up an automation framework, scripting our tests, and managing the testing process and infrastructure. We have tried that before and failed at it badly. The development time required to do automated testing is just enormous. To our developers, the very thought of maintaining hundreds of tests is intimidating.

MuukTest does all this for us on their platform built upon open-source frameworks like Selenium and Playwright. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MuukTest?

I would love it if they expand their testing capabilities to other areas, such as security testing, penetration testing, and more. And they just might because they seem to release new features very regularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MuukTest solving and how is that benefiting you?

For a growing company like ours, investing in QA comes at the cost of investing in our product.

While focusing on user experience is important, the resources required to build a QA function in-house are daunting.

That's where MuukTest hits home for us. They take care of our testing on their own platform at a pretty reasonable price. It includes everything from test planning to test design, execution, and maintenance.

One of the great parts of working with MuukTest is that there's no proprietary lock-in. We can walk away with our scripts whenever we choose to and run them on Selenium or Playwright. It offers us the flexibility of taking it in-house if there's a need to. And based on our experience with them to date—it's highly unlikely we will ever need to do that. What do you like best about MuukTest?

The team is very helpful, and genuinely a pleasure to work with. They are responsive to requests, and communicate well when things are taking longer. They essentially function as part of our team, replacing the need to hire in-house QA automation engineers, saving us a big chunk of money while still getting the right expertise. What do you dislike about MuukTest?

The platform itself, while good, is still improving. They are continuing to improve it, though, and ultimately we end up not being in there a lot unless tests are failing. "Working with MuuKTest Concierge Service to create full test coverage of the Ondecare App."

What do you like best about MuukTest?

The QA team that created the test suite for OndeCare was experienced and resourceful and worked with minimal supervision. Knowing the test-building was taken care of allowed me to focus much more on software development tasks to support company growth.

The other thing that really works for me with MuukTest is that their E-2E test platform is quick, easy to use, and highly intuitive even for a non-QA specialist. This meant that where needed, I can jump in and in minutes, create a new test myself using their Chrome extension or debug a test using the automated alternative selector finding feature of their platform. So I have continued support of the MuuKTest team for test maintenance through hour service contract but I also have access to the MuukTest platform directly to work with tests myself as and when needed. What do you dislike about MuukTest?

MuukTest solved a lot of QA problems for us and the Concierge Service delivered the goal of full test coverage in three months so I have no major dislikes. Things to improve on might be more flexible test scheduling where tests can be more easily ordered and re-ordered within a scheduled run and emailing out the reports of automated test runs. Recommendations to others considering MuukTest:

I think MuukTest offers a great solution to the dilemma many smaller tech companies like ours face with the need for effective QA and robust software testing but on a limited budget that precludes dedicated QA resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MuukTest solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a quick-moving tech start-up, we were continually upgrading our app based on user feedback as well as implementing new features. However, with limited in-house technical resources and expertise in software testing, keeping our test coverage up to date was becoming an ever-increasing challenge. In addition, as the volume of end-2-end tests grew to keep up with App development, the QA process within our automated CI/CD pipeline was taking longer and longer and limiting the speed with which new code could be put into production.

We needed to find a cost-effective solution that would allow us to maintain near 100% E-2-E test coverage of our user-facing App without placing a greater burden on in-house tech resources. MuukTest offered such a solution through their Concierge Service. For three months I worked with a small team of QA engineers from MuuKTest to create and automate over 100 E-2-E tests which covered all the complex functionality of our user-facing marketplace App as well as a separate B2B App and tool. I met with the team each week to review progress towards the end goal of 100% test coverage and then walk through the next phase of tests needing to be automated. The team was experienced with the MuukTest platform, required minimal supervision outside the weekly progress meetings and the project was delivered on time.

We now have the security of a full set of E-2-E tests covering nearly 100% of our two Apps that run every night with a report available every morning through the Muuk Test platform. This has allowed rationalization testing within our CI/CD pipeline and considerably sped up the time new code takes to production. We have an ongoing service agreement with MuukTest such that the MuukTest QA team continues to maintain the test suite they created and add new ones as the App changes and develops.
