A tool if you want to save money but waste 100s of hours and still lack confidence in the results **Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023 **What do you like best about Muck Rack?** If you need a journalist database or want to see every mention of something on the internet, Muck Rack can do that. **What do you dislike about Muck Rack?** - Doing any type of analysis requires creating a new search and a new coverage report, which is massively redundant and wastes so much time. - Support is close to non existant. They are responsive, but it's always with another how-to video. No human will help you when you're in a jam. Every time I've had a call with the team, I've left without a solution. - I've never seen searches that pull in coverage no one would ever count and then make it impossible to filter it out. **What problems is Muck Rack solving and how is that benefiting you?** They aren't really solving a problem for us. We bought them to help capture our coverage, but we waste a massive amount of time with the product and lack confidence in our data going into any media. But there isn't a whole lot to love. **What do you dislike about Muck Rack?** The user friendliness of the platform is okay, but there are not as many contacts as they promise. The entire audience for me to blast to was less than a 100 people. And I work in a pretty broad industry. **What problems is Muck Rack solving and how is that benefiting you?** That is the issue... It's not solving any problem. It is a complete waste of money. I think a person would be better off pulling the contacts themselves. The sales rep was extremely rude and when I had follow-up questions, she simply ghosted me. Took my money and ran. Platform vendors, and the best salespeople at those companies, are trusted partners. The start of this relationship is so bad that I won't bother to renew. There are other platforms with better service from start to finish, like Meltwater. **Recommendations to others considering Muck Rack:** Meltwater delivers a stronger platform with better UX and I trust that brand more. Why on earth would you ever spend money with a team you can't trust? **What problems is Muck Rack solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ability to have a clear view of competitors.
