MSP360, formerly Cloudberry Labs, has been our backup partner for several years now and has been both reliable and helpful. Their technical support team has been very responsive whenever we've needed them. I also love the at-a-glance remote management page that will tell me which machines are out of compliance for their backup schedules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Their support for Linux environments is there, but minimal. It's improved over time, though, and they are responsive to feature requests. MSP360 Managed Backup solves the problem of identifying which machines in our environment are in or out of compliance with backups. It provides us a robust off-site, cloud-based backup solution which we have found to be reliable when it comes to restoring data. MSP360 is solid software and continues to have new features and security regularly updated. Because it is the software used to manage the backup without getting locked into using any particular type of cloud storage the flexibility for choosing your preferred cloud is key. MSP360 has so many features it is sometimes a little difficult to find where the particular menu item is to be found. Some are accessed via an ellipse where others are undfer a normal text menu item. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MSP360 Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?

MSP360 makes managing automated incremental backups a simple point and shoot solution. Once configured for the cloud storage of your choice settings are locked in to keep multiple versions of the incremental backup and/or create a weekly or monthly full backup if required. The setup also allows triggers to move from one step to the next so that if a step fails then the backup stops there and a notification is sent. Makes my MSP life much easier. The software's update cycle is not intuitive and has not inproved in years despite speciifc and simple suggestions to accomplish that.

As an MSP it's most important that I protect my clients from data loss, including accidental, malicious, and environmental. MSP360 solves this by being reliable and requiring little ongoing maintenance. Job based notifications and monthly automated reports allow me to rest easy knowing things are working as intended. For clients who choose to receive their reports as well, it estabilishes a level of trust with my business as they can see the product I've recommended works as expected. What do you like best about MSP360 Backup?

MSP360 Managed Backups quickly lets us, a fairly small MSP, see the state of backup jobs running on our clients' systems. We can view and manage almost all settings from within the web console, as well as running state, percentage of data transferred to storage (local or cloud), backup job history, and can do this on the level of a single client system, a single client company, or according to other searchable features (in non-company groups).

Restore jobs can be initiated just as easily from the web management console.

The ability to use a variety of cloud storage providers means that we can dial in the needs of particular clients while still getting great storage rates for those who do no have specific security needs.

Pricing tiers result in significant savings on the per-client cost after a fairly small number of systems are placed on the plan, and get better as you add more, on top of starting off fairly reasonably-priced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?

MSP360 Managed Backup doesn't have much in the way of integrations with other non-MSP360 RMM solutions, and there are a small number of backup features (rarely used by us) that can only be accessed from the application running on the client's system, requiring remote access to deal with. MSP360 Managed Backup allows us to easily deploy local and cloud-based backup solutions for the clients of our MSP business, and gives us insights into how their data is flowing, plus reports on the state of the current and recent backups. We have been using MSP products for about 5 years and have switched over to Online Backup about 3 years ago. So software is wonderfull. It's simpel to use yet combines all the features we need as an MSP to run backup solutions for our clients. Some of the best features are easy deployment, and backup monitoring.
