The platform supports the full range of environments MSPs work with: - File-level and image-based backup for Windows, macOS, and Linux desktops and servers - Virtual machine backup for VMware (vSphere 6.0+), Hyper-V, and Proxmox - SQL Server backup and application-aware (VSS-based) backup - Local, cloud, and hybrid destinations, including NAS and network shares MSP360 Managed Backup works on a bring-your-own-storage model - connect your preferred provider and keep full control over costs and data residency. Integrations were also finicky **What problems is MSP360 Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** Backup to multiple cloud providers ### 2. Have performed a number of Bare Metal Restores and restores to Virtual Machines and generally they work well. **What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?** The biggest downside to MSP360 is the erratic nature of their support. I find myself always hoping I'll get a particular Tier 1 Tech (Evan) because he's very good, but the others are hit or miss. And if you get elevated to Tier 2 or 3, be prepared to go days without responses even on "Priority 1" issues. It's a shame because we've had a number of excellent support experiences with MSP360 but they've really dropped the ball lately. **What problems is MSP360 Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's good backup software at a fair price. Being able to leverage Wasabi is a big draw. Again, the issue is the uncertainty of whether support will be there when you need them and uncertainty is the last thing you want in a backup vendor. ### 4. There is cheaper solutions out there we have been looking at too. **What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?** The cost of the product is to expensive by the time you convert to NZ dollars. It needs to be cheaper or billed in NZ dollars. **What problems is MSP360 Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** No problems, I'm not sure I'm alaigned with the right company. It's hard to sell there licenses. ### 5. This is helpful to us as we are a Managed Service Provider. **What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?** Too many bugs in the product. If you are trying to backup a lot of Windows servers in a business environment, you cannot really trust this product. **Recommendations to others considering MSP360 Backup:** CBB is good for backing PCs, but if you resell CBB to important clients to backup their production servers, you will have lots of headaches from constant bugs being introduced during updates of the product. We currently have several clients whose backups we are not 100% sure of due to all the bugs. **What problems is MSP360 Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are backing up a ton of servers for an OK price for the product, but will probably have to go with another backup product after our current licenses expire because there are just way too many bugs in this software. ## MSP360 Backup Discussions -
