It's incredibly straight forward to use and it's as close to "set it and forget it" as backups can be. **What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?** With most backup systems, if you want to make the best use of it, you'll need to use their own backup formats and as such, you'll need the software to recover backups - you can't just log in to your remote storage and simply copy from there. I looked around and kept seeing MSP360 popping up. They set a meeting up with me and went over every question I had and had an answer for everything I threw at them. I feel confident if there was a failure or I needed to restore a VM I would be able to, and have done so on a couple occasions. I have since switched all of my customers to MSP360 from SQL version of backup, to just a normal windows server to replace the on prem windows server backup. Couldn't be happier with the level of service and support I have gotten. **What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?** I haven't seen any issues or downsides. Their technical support team has been very responsive whenever we've needed them. It's improved over time, though, and they are responsive to feature requests. Because it is the software used to manage the backup without getting locked into using any particular type of cloud storage the flexibility for choosing your preferred cloud is key. **What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?** MSP360 has so many features it is sometimes a little difficult to find where the particular menu item is to be found. Some are accessed via an ellipse where others are undfer a normal text menu item. **What problems is MSP360 Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** MSP360 makes managing automated incremental backups a simple point and shoot solution. Once configured for the cloud storage of your choice settings are locked in to keep multiple versions of the incremental backup and/or create a weekly or monthly full backup if required. The setup also allows triggers to move from one step to the next so that if a step fails then the backup stops there and a notification is sent. Makes my MSP life much easier. ### 23. In addition to that, reliability, cost, and configurability are important as well. The reporting options and sotrage plans helps manage billing for MSPs. **What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?** Some of the detailed configuration options use unfamiliar terminology that requires research to determine proper usage. Built-in help and explanations of these options would be helpful, along with some visual diagrams. But this is not a deal breaker. **What problems is MSP360 Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** As an MSP it's most important that I protect my clients from data loss, including accidental, malicious, and environmental. MSP360 solves this by being reliable and requiring little ongoing maintenance. Job based notifications and monthly automated reports allow me to rest easy knowing things are working as intended. For clients who choose to receive their reports as well, it estabilishes a level of trust with my business as they can see the product I've recommended works as expected. ### 24. We can view and manage almost all settings from within the web console, as well as running state, percentage of data transferred to storage (local or cloud), backup job history, and can do this on the level of a single client system, a single client company, or according to other searchable features (in non-company groups). Restore jobs can be initiated just as easily from the web management console. The ability to use a variety of cloud storage providers means that we can dial in the needs of particular clients while still getting great storage rates for those who do no have specific security needs. Pricing tiers result in significant savings on the per-client cost after a fairly small number of systems are placed on the plan, and get better as you add more, on top of starting off fairly reasonably-priced. **What do you dislike about MSP360 Backup?** MSP360 Managed Backup doesn't have much in the way of integrations with other non-MSP360 RMM solutions, and there are a small number of backup features (rarely used by us) that can only be accessed from the application running on the client's system, requiring remote access to deal with. If both of these items were fixed, I'd be hard pressed to find a downside. **What problems is MSP360 Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?** MSP360 Managed Backup allows us to easily deploy local and cloud-based backup solutions for the clients of our MSP business, and gives us insights into how their data is flowing, plus reports on the state of the current and recent backups.
