If you care about security you won't use this app. **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Daniel J O. | System Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2020 **What do you like best about mSecure?** Better than some. I like what they have published regarding accessing the mSecure database with the account key, but the devil is in the details. **What do you dislike about mSecure?** There are some valid security concerns that have never been addressed. 1. We don't know how ther mSecure Cloud functions. If this was a BLOB store of user data that was entirely hashed with salted username / password then it could be bullet pro from the company itself leaking the data; but the fact that they can perform a password reset for users tells us this is NOT the case. 2. We don't know if the data on the device is encrypted at all times or if it is loaded into memory and vulnerable to cross side scripting attacks. 3. They do not publish entirely the mechanism for their security. A truly secure method like: TrueCrypt, Keepass, Lastpass, Onepass, Bitwarden, and Dashlane can and do, because the method is secure. 4. I could not find any third party security audits of their software. Conclusion. With security, trust a source that the industry has fully vetted. **Recommendations to others considering mSecure:** If you care about security get LassPass or Onepass. If you run linux use Bitwarden. **What problems is mSecure solving and how is that benefiting you?** If you are not too concerned about security, and like the face unlock features living in an apple world, this is a better choice than some.
