Performance has improved with each new version, and new features have been added along the way. It’s quite fast, and I’ve also had a good experience with the support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about MSC Nastran? You really need a good preprocessor for this. Working in bulk isn’t as easy to read as it is, for example, in Abaqus. Nastran is the industry-standard software (in aerospace at least). It may not feel very 21st century (it was originally developed for the moon missions in the 1960s), but it does what you expect it to do (mostly). It's commercial software, so you will have to pay for the pleasure. Be aware that Nastran-95 has been released as open-source software without support and is available for download here: https://github.com/nasa/NASTRAN-95 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
