**What do you like best about Moz Local?**

Moz Local is an easy way to get listed in a number of directories that may otherwise be difficult to be listed in. 

**What do you dislike about Moz Local?**

The process can take a long time (up to 8 weeks). It can also take time to figure out the interface and determine what you need to do to take action on the dashboard data. I think the product is geared more towards businesses with multiple locations rather than agencies handling multiple clients with single locations. 

**Recommendations to others considering Moz Local:**

If you need fast results, other products might be better. If you are looking for low cost for many locations, Moz local is probably the best choice.

**What problems is Moz Local solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've seen clients who I've struggled to get into the map pack with manual submission, get there after signing them up and publishing their listings through Moz Local.

Moz Local is critical to manage all aspects of data aggregation from within one platform.  The efficiency's that Moz Local creates are vital to any business.

**What do you dislike about Moz Local?**

Overall, I would like to see quicker addition/removal from the aggregators.  I know this mostly depends on the aggregators, but Moz should work with the aggregators to speed this process up.

**What problems is Moz Local solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, by utilizing Moz Local, we have been able to quickly and easily submit all of the businesses data to the major data aggregators.  This has helped us with NAP consistency and overall better performance in the SERPs.

Easy of use. It covers the most important listings you need to have your business on.

Nothing really, but it would be a cool addition if it had some sort of counter saying 'you submitted an update 23 days ago to YP.com' or similar so you know how long you have been waiting for the directories to update.

**Recommendations to others considering Moz Local:**

Do it. There is no current substitute.

**What problems is Moz Local solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Removing duplicate (scraper) entries and sanity checking we dont have any old NAP info floating around out there has led us to already realize gains in traffic and phone calls.

**What do you like best about Moz Local?**

As a marketing manager with responsibility for 15 sites in the UK ensuring visibility and consistency across all our our listings is extremely important to our GMB listings. 

I'm currently trialing the Moz Local service for 2 of our sites vs manual data submission. 

The service promises to solve the problem, save me time and I like the fixed annual cost.

**What do you dislike about Moz Local?**

Our Bing and Factual listings have been 'Update In Progress' for 3 months.

Data on certain services is unavailable much more often than I'd expect.

**What problems is Moz Local solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My aim is to boost my Google My Business rankings. And to do this faster and at a lower cost than manual data submission. 

3 month in our listings have moved up the rankings but no faster than the team working on the manual data submission

Moz's simple understanding that there are only a handful of data warehouses that all the major search engines use . Once those date warehouses are updated, all the other information goes downstream to the other search engines .

Working with newer locations, it becomes very difficult to start a new account on Moz

Understand that it takes months to see local businesses see an improvement , but the week to week reports allow you to make minor adjustments

Local businesses not being found and the time it takes to get those businesses found online

**What do you like best about Moz Local?**

I loved how simple it was to use the dashboard and to get started. Also you absolutely cannot beat the prices that Moz Local offers and was the main reason I was attracted to them.

**What do you dislike about Moz Local?**

Connecting your Google Account was tricky at times and the status notifications of when you do connect your accounts to it, can be confusing. I had to contact support just to understand that my accounts were connected correctly and they were just waiting to propagate. Wish they had more partners or directories to connect to.

**What problems is Moz Local solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the issue of NAP as we moved locations and instead of having to go to each platform and change our address, I can use Moz and change them at same time (or at least the major ones)

I like that I can easily manage my clients local listings all in one place and easily see where there are places to improve or issues to correct.

**What do you dislike about Moz Local?**

I dislike having to pay for each additional Moz local listing for a client (for example; I have one client who has 11 branches; to pay for EACH branch is quite expensive and forces us to prioritize for locations which then causes unbalance down the road if a client can't pay for EVERY listing).

**What problems is Moz Local solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in SEO, so Moz local helps me boost our local presence easily and efficiently. As SEO becomes more and more local, I find that Moz local is a MUST for managing all our client's listings. It is a program I trust and so do my clients.

Moz Local puts everything I needed to get hold of mine and my client's local listings, from soup to nuts!

The only thing I find a bit off-putting is the inability to directly interact with some of the listing directories, this, however, is due to the directory policy as I understand it.

You won't find another local management software that is as concise, easy, and affordable than Moz Local

Getting NAP (name, address, phone) is critical in Google Local search and Moz Local simplifies the process greatly at a reasonable cost.

It was easy to sign up...Sadly, that's about the only positive I've seen.

Pretty much everything else.  The platform isn't terribly intuitive, and it doesn't seem to help at all.

Don't do it.  From what I've seen, it's a waste of time and money.

It helped me decrease my taxable income by the amount I paid...Otherwise, I have seen no benefits from Moz local during the roughly six months I've been using it.

It's an easy to use dashboard - plug in your info once, and it spits it out to multiple places.

**What do you dislike about Moz Local?**

It's advertised as helping your listing be consistent across all platforms. However, things like Yelp, Yellow Pages and others require you to use their systems for updates and ask you to pay an additional fee to do so - this isn't made clear when you sign up, and is especially frustrating when you pay for 80+ listings, close to $10K and then figure out it only does half of what you want it to do...

Look into other vendors to see if they meet your consumer facing listings needs first before purchasing.

It is helping us to get consistent listings but a small percentage of the total whole.

Quick audit summary of online directories.  Moz submits our data to the key data aggregators, and also provides an excellent auditing tool so we can expedite the key listings and make corrections.  It's clear that having consistent directory information is crucial to ranking performance.

**What do you dislike about Moz Local?**

It would be wonderful if changes were able to be more real-time, but typically a tool like that would come at a greater cost.

We're trying to normalize data on multiple websites, and have seen increased keyword rankings for our customers where we utilize this product.

It's comprehensive and easy to use.  The results show up on most sites fairly quickly, and the reporting shows the results.  I like that it's an easy "grade" assigned to each listing's performance.

There's nothing to dislike.  If anything, Moz is a little big; when you're logged into Moz Local, you have a whole bunch of other options available for additional services.  It's mostly a clean interface, though.

Incorrect data out on the web for my clients.  Now their listings are accurate and link back to their websites.

Nothing I can think of, at least for the price.  I can think of lots of SEO related work I'd love to have Moz do but can't afford their other services

Our company has grown a lot in the last few years, which means we've moved offices and had a variety of addresses. Moz helped clear out all of the inaccurate information so clients can find us easier. It's simple to use and understand.

I don't have any major complaints about Moz. We set it up and forget about it, which is exactly what we want.

The inability to use the Moz Local service to build directory listings if the initial business listing found is incorrect, and you can't fix or in the process of claiming it like in the case of a bad Facebook business listing property name.

Not much to dislike other than the automatic renewal.

Do it instead of YEXT or any other software. Don't pay someone $300/mos to manage this for you, just create an account and do it.

With Moz Local all our local business clients can get current and correct data submitted to the major data aggregators, and update new information as necessary, avoiding wasted time and frustration.

It hard to figure out if your data was submitted immediately.  It would be nice to know when the data aggregators update with Moz Local.

We're always looking for optimal ways to get correct name, address, and phone (NAP) information listed online.  With Moz Local, submit it and forget about it ....problem solved.

I like how easy the interface is to use. It's functional. The reports are also very easy to understand. When it comes to needing to see where you stand with your current listings or where you need to fix citations, Moz Local is the place to go.

I can't stay that there is too much for me to dislike.  I think it is easily integrated into Moz Pro accounts.  If there was something to say that I disklike, I suppose it would be a lack of export features.

Make sure you don't get startled by the initial findings. Work with what you see and you'll see improvements over time.

Easy approach to creating citations on top players. Increase in local rankings.

MOZ Local is a service that helps get all your online directory listings populated with consistent, correct information. Google looks for consistent information to promote your business and MOZ local helps get that all in line to work for your business.

There's really nothing to dislike. MOZ Local does what it says.

Great tool to help you get the most exposure for your local business.  I highly recommend using this service to help manage all the online directories and keeping your information correct and consistent.

When a business has a local storefront, they want to be found online with the right address, phone number, etc. Let MOZ Local help get this information consistent and correct to improve your Google local search-ability.

Simply put it is an aggregator like tool but with additional data and insights.

I wish you could aggregate local companies that did not have addresses.

Listen, if you want to aggregate your business data to the internet, this is a great way to do it at a good price point and ease of use.

Moz Local essentially allows you to send your business information out to the internet to be picked up by directories etc. This means you save your time exponentially.

We love the ease of use, how everything is in one place and how optimization can be done quickly. Beats out other tools we've used.

Would like the ability to customize some areas more, but that's about it.

If you're having difficulties keeping up with your local SEO factors, Moz Local can help with that. It's worth the small investment.

The main thing is making sure our client's business information is right and up to date. This could be the hours, location, etc.

I appreciate how simple it is to submit a site to all of the major directories and aggregators. This process used to take countless hours, and it was costly. Now I can go through all of them through Moz, and the cost is very affordable for the value Moz provides.

**What do you dislike about Moz Local?**

I find that results are often inconsistent when it comes to submitting sites. Some locations will get through right away, and it will show that they are approved, but other places will take an extended period up to several weeks. 

**What problems is Moz Local solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I never knew how I was being represented on various local listings until I signed up for Moz. Now that I have Moz, I know and that's important to me.

The dashboard that shows completeness of data at each directory, and inconsistencies and duplicates.  Resolving these is typically the biggest challenge for an existing business, and MozLocal makes this a snap.

**What do you dislike about Moz Local?**

The auto-renewal payment confirmation emails don't tell you which client they're for, so you have to go into the Billing section and look it up.  Not a problem for a single business, but it's a pain for an agency with many clients.

Getting clients to show up in the local 3-pack.

I wish that it allowed us to auto-update all of our listings from within the Moz Local dashboard.

Do it. You'll still need to do some manual work, but it makes it a million times easier than trying to find and make all of these changes on your own.

Moz local has been great. It gives excellent insight into where my business is being displayed and it automatically takes the action necessary to fix outstanding problems and submit better updates across various channels.

Compared to something like Yext, it doesn't seem as comprehensive in terms of capabilities.

It is much cheaper than Yext, I recommend it if on a budget

Solving the problems of having to search the web for past listings and constantly manage our business across multiple channels.

Dashboard is easy to use.  Percentage to completeness is good for demonstrating to clients / bosses on where we stand.

The ease at which it is to update addresses.  It helps identify where our problem locations are.  identifying duplicate locations and new locations with issues that pop up.

Once we submit changes to seo moz local it takes fairly long to get most listings updated.  It would be nice if the listings were updated quicker but I understand you have to play nice with all review sites.

 Moz local shows you a summary of what you have and you are missing in citations. It even provides a link to actually update the listing manually.

It's not real time so your updates may not show for months. 

**Recommendations to others considering Moz Local:**

The free tools will give you a good assessment of citations but not quite as good as YEXT. Direct links to the citations is a great way to manually update you citations. 

If you want to use their 5 Major Data Aggregators it's reasonably priced but these citations go away when you quit paying. That's OK if you consider this advertising. If you have deep pockets go with YEXT for aggregators.

We prefer doing our own manual listings but BrightLocal does the job for a reasonable fee.

**What do you like best about Moz Local?**

I really like the dashboard, the consistency reporting, I like Moz as a company all-together, and the fact that you can request access to FourSquare and request duplicates to be taken down easily.

**What do you dislike about Moz Local?**

I don't really see a lot of my citations being changed as a result of having the Moz listing. The main culprit for this is Yahoo, but in other citations that I cannot change myself, having the Moz Local subscription can often take a long time or never really make much of a difference.

I am doing mostly citation cleanup. Again, I like the reporting as it is easy for me to find duplicate listings and inconsistencies that I can manually clean up.

Value per dollar invested it's easily one of the best deals in local search solutions.

It's not as robust as some solutions.  Of course, it's less expensive as well.

I was trying to find one-off solutions for local search clients that couldn't afford or didn't need more robust monthly solutions.  It does the job nicely.  As an added perk, the free scan function is great during the evaluation stage to illustrate issues to a client (or potential client).

I like the price--you can't beat $84 a year per location per listing. I like the fact that Moz Local encourages improvements by making it easy to spot opportunities--for profile completion and for duplicate suppresion. 

**What do you dislike about Moz Local?**

It is too hands-on, and too limited. While a tool like Yext potentially has less impact--only 70 directories, as opposed to the 5 major data aggregators that Moz Local provides with a potentially unlimited potential for reach--you set it and forget it. With Moz Local, if you're not being hands on, you're not getting the most out of the products. Something like Yext, where I can promise 70+ listings, is a lot easier to sell to clients. 

**Recommendations to others considering Moz Local:**

Believe it or not, it is hard to explain the pros and cons of using Moz Local, and staying on Moz Local after an initial period. While there are FAQs, more user-friendly sales material would help me understand and communicate to my clients why they should use something like Moz Local instead of pricier, but easier to understand, products like Yext PowerListings.

We want a boost to local SEO efforts, and a standalone product for clients with a low budget. We realized the benefit of bringing in clients into the fold at a low price.

Moz Local was one of the best products to come out in 2015 for our clients. We are able to make sure their brand, contact information & overall message are consistent on a variety of directories all in one dashboard. I am a fan of the entire Moz product family, but Moz local was a huge game changer! You can easily see your listings and make sure the data is consistent. If your client re-brands, you can push that out from one dashboard instead of logging into hundreds. This is a great product, at a really great price and worth the effort!

**What do you dislike about Moz Local?**

I wish it was quicker in pushing out changes made to the businesses location information. Many times I notice it can take weeks for simple changes like an address update or hours change.

If you are looking for 1 dashboard to help manage the important local listings for your business or clients, then this is the platform for you!

Identity crises are plentiful, people love to pay services like DexMedia to plaster inaccurate listings with made up phone numbers all over in hopes of selling them back the lead. This tool greatly assists in getting customers back on the up and up.

I like that it's a very cost effective way of putting a local business in the main aggregators to spread your listing out.

I don't like how the data and scores actively change with very little info about why that's happening.  I also don't like that you're unable to click some of the sites to see the listing straight from your client's page.

More answers and quicker responses.  I've contacted help several times, while they do try, it often is a question that has to go to the "engineers" and takes well over a week to get a real answer back.  Many of the answers are placing blame on other websites.  If moz has established a relationship with these sites, they should have these details worked out better for the customers of the product.

Solving the problem of increasing local rankings by using Moz Local to supplement citation building.  An added benefit is that this populates many other listings.

My website developers recommended MOZ Local and I'm really happy I went with them.  For a small fee, I get my website registered to hundreds of search engines all at once.  Since using Moz, I've noticed increased internet visibility and more traffic from the internet.  This saves me a ton of time each year since I don't have to hire anyone to do the submission for me, nor do I have to do it myself.  Additionally, Moz Local goes the extra mile by offering various webinars and newletters.  Thanks Moz!

I guess it'd be nice if Moz sent me weekly or monthly updates as to the performance of my website.  They currently do not sent me that sort of information.

Solved problems: Taking the time to have to submit my website to hundreds of search engines myself.  I simply do not have the time to do so.  Nor is it my specialty.

Benefits: automation of the above service and increased customer calls.

I like that Moz Local is a one stop shop in a sense. I don't have to go wasting time adding information into each individual sites.  I also love that Moz local has been very accurate. I have had issues in the past before using Moz local where the information was imported into different sites incorrectly so it would not show up on different search engines.

The only thing I dislike so far is that the mail confirmation got lost the first time and I had to request a new one which causes a delay.

Do not be afraid to reach out to the Moz Local team. Their support has really help make Moz Local the product for us.

My favorite thing is that once you upload your spreadsheet, you just let it do its thing. It sends you automated updates to your email whenever additional attention is needed.

It does take awhile for things to update. So there is some checking back and forth to see how far along things are.

Moz Local is a great product offering a quick snapshot of your most important local business citations in one place, while highlighting inconsistencies or duplicate entries. I use the "Check Listing" feature the most, but also think the UX is fairly intuitive across the board. 

**What do you dislike about Moz Local?**

The only thing I dislike or would recommend improving is a clearer vision on how to bulk-manage local listings upfront. I feel that many users don't realize that there are features beyond checking their listing and going to manually add a listing on different networks. 

**Recommendations to others considering Moz Local:**

I would highly recommend this software. I think that the only thing that might be a justifiable comparison is Yext, a tool with far more noise. While Yext offers far more directories, it seems that Moz Local ticks all the right boxes in terms of the main business directories that we'd like to target at only a fraction of the price.

We are primarily using this for local citations for local SEO. It's been a great tool for us across the board.

This service saves time! It enables you to tie up all the loose ends of ensuring your business is firmly on the digital map in all the key and important places.  Once in you can adjust your listings really easily at any point over 12 months and the service takes care of all the submissions. very cool. As I have locations in both the UK and US its perfect. Also love that you can monitor your progress over time and see the visibility improvements using their analysis 14 day free trial.

Love the service but really wish you didnt have to pay more for the analytical monitoring part

 Trial it on just one location and monitor the uplift in organic traffic.  It takes a few weeks but it has always occurred for me.

 If you have a business, its important to ensure you are in key online location directories.  The problem is there are a lot of them so it takes ages to systematically submit mostly the same information to each and every space.  This service enables you to do that with one quick submission. Its a huge time saver especially if you have multiple locations.
