The app doesn't track me at the right addresses nor does it track mileage properly. I have an email from a support agent that claims mileage isn't actually tracked via GPS even though it says it is. Instead, it uses "best route" so even if I've driven 6 miles and the app thinks the best route was 4 miles, I get shorted those 2 miles. Inaccurate at best and a scam at worst. I have 3 months worth of hand written mileage tracking I've done on my own. Preparing to take it to a lawyer to be back paid for everything Motus has FAILED to pay out. Motus can be programmed for your work hours and set to automatic. Everywhere you go, it records. Afterwards or at the end of the month, you can go back through and edit unnecessary trips or trips that are not business related. If you’d rather not use the GPS function, you can always enter manually!

If you need to edit a stopped area, the radius allowed to edit is not far. So if you didn’t have great service while in a parking garage and your gps stopped or has you at a different location down the road…you cannot edit that and will need to delete trip and enter manually. I’ve noticed that every now and then, even when I have automatic tracking turned on, it doesn’t always start recording when I begin driving. I’ve had to manually open the app and start it a few times, which can be a little annoying if I’m in a rush or forget to check. I wish it were just a bit more consistent. It’s silly, but the only thing I can think of is when you check the box you’ll have more entries for that same day…the checkbox remains checked so it is automatically set for your next entry. For me, specifically me, that’s an inconvenience because I normally only have two stops in a day. It's overall simple to use. I like that it's very basic in a way of simplicity and function. I can hit the Start button and not worry about a thing. The reminder that I'm still logging mileage is nice too in case I forget when I've stopped. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The one feature that is frustrating is looking up individual addresses. I wish there was an integration with Google or something to the point where I can type in the name of a business and the address would auto-populate. Largely set it and forget it. Tracks my drive and stops seamlessly. Doesn't seem to meaningfully impact my cell phone battery life, which is appreciated. Editing is fairly intuitive, which I tend to do on my laptop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is nothing more frustrating than assuming the app is doing its job and then later finding out it has not been tracking stops for 2 weeks or more. I don't understand how and when it chooses to log me out. Some sort of notification would be appreciated to avoid the tedious manual input that results.

I think the editing tools could be expanded. If I have work trips in the morning, then run some personal errands around lunch time, I usually go in and delete the personal mileage. When I do that, it can sometimes trigger an error message, and I have to delete and manual enter my afternoon trips. Not a huge deal, but definitely an inconvenience. The APP selection of when to use is NOT good. IE.. When you check "use only when using the app". it does not allow you to sign on and start without changing or accepting "Allow app to track always". Also, when Allow app only to track when using, if you turn on start mileage , then push stop and then start again--it goes back and tracks where you were in between when you asked it not to,,,,,,

Also--when you asked not to track, it has often come on Saturday and Sunday and reminds you it is still recording.....Even though on app Monday-Friday is selected..... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The total program is not equitable. Our base rate has increased about 2.5% over the past 5 years. Yet automobiles have increase > 25% and finance rates have increased 300%. Insurance has increased 54%. Flexible rate does not cover tire and maintenance. It is just enough to cover fuel. Tires have increase 45% and oil changes have increase 100% over that same time period. Hopefully you never crack a windshield, they do not pay 5/7ths of that amount. Finally not all of the insurance companies allows different coverage for multiple autos. You must have the increased coverages on all of your vehicles.

When you have questions, MOTUS tells you to contact your employer. Your employer refers you back to MOTUS. Then you are provided the base and flexible rate plans. I like the ease of use and how the process of inputting mileage/locations is streamlined to be quick. I don’t have to type in the whole address of the location manually which saves time. Submitting mileage for the week is easy as one button press. Correcting mileage mistakes is a simple process of deleting the mileage error and inputting the new one. I don’t like how it requires the vehicles odometer mileage to submit mileage as I have found myself not at my vehicle unable to check my odometer at the time of submitting my mileage. If it was optional for the odometer mileage reading that would speed things up and could be inputted at a later time if not with the vehicle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I appreciate that Motus gives me multiple ways to track my miles. It is easy to select start, do my business travel, and then stop the app when finished. If I forget to start the tracking in the app, it is easy to mark the addresses I was starting from/going to and add the travel later. I appreciate the flexibility in design and tracking mechanisms. The app was easy to download, integrated with our company payroll system seamlessly, and is used daily. The few times I have used customer support, the response has been quick and my needs met. I dislike that the alert for out of compliance vehicle is always visible. I know my car is older than your recommendations, but as I have chosen to continue with it and confirmed in the paperwork within the app that I am aware I am out of compliance it should not have the annoying red alert.
