At first, I used Motion as an AI task scheduler and project management tool, mainly to create projects for my freelance work and keep track of client deadlines. Later, when they introduced the AI Notetaker, I began using it at my workplace as well. The AI Notetaker not only transcribes calls but also provides summaries and generates action items as tasks. In September, they launched AI Employees—virtual AI assistants—which ended up saving me the first two hours of my workday by organizing my emails, responding to them, and helping me prepare for meetings by sorting through emails and meeting details. Previously, I often found myself rearranging tasks or forgetting which ones needed to be prioritized. With Motion’s AI Auto-Scheduler, this process is now automated—it selects the optimal time for each task in my calendar and keeps everything up to date if my plans change. Another advantage is having everything centralized. My tasks, projects, meetings, and notes are all interconnected, so I no longer need to switch between different apps. The addition of new AI Employees is also helpful for handling smaller tasks, such as drafting summaries or keeping project details current. This feature is probably my favorite part because it makes managing my own intake of 10 to 30 requests for appointments in a week so much simpler. Even before having an assistant, Motion allowed me to easily send appointment options to clients, who could book them themselves by automatically pulling from available spots on my calendar. The auto-scheduling feature is fantastic, though it does take some time to get used to the system, which can feel a bit tedious at first. One challenge I have is viewing my calendar from a distance.
