The portfolio creation is great pretty simple to use, I am able to just copy and paste ISINs from a list and weightings to keep track of portfolios, creating different dates and things like that are quite simple. With this you are then able to get a unique code that can be used to pull the data into excel to be used for other scenarios. I use Morningstar daily, and am constantly finding new ways to utilise the tool itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Morningstar Direct? Some of the resources to know how to use Morningstar aren't the greatest - especially for the excel-add in it takes a lot of time to figure out how to use the formula's correctly. Keeping track of portfolio performance as well as due diligence for investments - the creation of portoflios is quite simple to do and easier than another product used previously where it was very fiddly and manual to update. I like best how easy it is to find investments that you need. Eg we use open-ended funds for our proposition and the search criteria + universe selection makes this easy. The performance of presentation studio mainly (I've escalated and spoken with senior tech members Juan and Jean regarding this), but also the performance outside of presentation studio is not stable eg MSD will occasionally log me out and sometimes it'll take much longer than necessary to do simple things like load an investment in from an investment list. Once a list of funds have been found, we previously used MS Adviser Workstation and was unable to apply a scorecard to a list of funds to establish the top performers.
