"Simple Multi-Project Access, but AR/AP Invoicing Needs More Support"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Monograph?

I enjoy the accessibility to multiple projects in one space and the simplicity of expenses for reimbursements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monograph?

I work in the AR/AP department. I utilize invoicing a great deal. One of the issues I am having comes from attaching expenses to a phase. In our proposals we have separate expense line items per specialty to ensure we stay in budget for each of them. I can create expense phases for our subs but when our firm enters expenses it gets lumped together in a total amount. It would be really helpful if the expenses could be attached to their own phase per specialty Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Specialized for Architects and Engineers, Yet Flexible"
5/5
What do you like best about Monograph?

I like that Monograph is specifically built with architects and engineers in mind, focusing on being the best for one specific industry. They stay committed to this niche and are constantly improving, which is evident in how their reporting focuses on the industry needs. I find the initial setup to be pretty simple, which is great unless you're transitioning from another tool with a lot of existing projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monograph?

I wish that it had two-way sync with QBO so that when something was paid in QBO, it was marked as paid in Monograph. It would be nice to have a little more reporting functionality within Monograph. The reports are adequate for what is needed, but would love to have a little more customization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly and Perfect for Architecture Firms"
5/5
What do you like best about Monograph?

I like that Monograph is user-friendly and everything is all in one place. It's easy to understand and makes it simple to find what I'm looking for, which is essential because time is money. I love that it does a good job specifically for architecture firms. The pipeline feature is something I really appreciate, especially now that it's active. Setting up Monograph was pretty easy, and I even integrate it with QuickBooks Online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monograph?

I love that the pipeline feature just became active but wish it was an included feature in our subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Optimizes Time Management for Architecture Firms"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Monograph?

I like how Monograph helps with the allocation of time to phases based on bill rates, which keeps us on time and on budget. The initial setup of Monograph was pretty easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monograph?

I need more options for custom reports. Also, we do percentage-based fees, so having the ability to update the construction cost and fee percentage and have that fee breakup across phases would be helpful. Monograph could also be improved by having a functioning API. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"You can control the puppet's fingers and toes, but that doesn't always make for a great puppet!"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Monograph?

UI is very beautiful and it's generally easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monograph?

It takes an immense amount of active “puppeteering” to get it working properly. It also has to be set up correctly—basically perfectly—the first time; otherwise, you end up stuck dealing with legacy errors and half-measure fixes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Solution for Architectural Projects"
4/5
What do you like best about Monograph?

I like that Monograph is my one-stop for timesheets, paid time off records, project statuses, and contact lookups. The initial setup was very easy, and I find the chat help to be very helpful, as well as the webinar trainings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monograph?

I don't like when it automatically filters the date to be the last one you used when searching a specific time frame. It should always just start with the current year or current month, not backdate it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Invoicing Made Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Monograph?

I like the invoicing and hourly project specific tracking for payroll which inform project profitability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monograph?

the continuous changes that just show up and you cant go back and use a previous version. It is scary when you place so much trust in a software and then it has changed. Like... do I have a backup? when was it saved last. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
