"It's not just a tracker, it's the back bone of my operations for payroll and service standard."

5/5

What do you like best about Monitask?

I mean, in hotels, the payroll is your biggest cost after the food. My problem was always: How do I know whether that cost is working for me? With Monitask, I know. The kitchen and banquet service teams I manage log tasks on the tablets we have stationed throughout – “Wedding Prep: Bella Vista Room,” “AM Kitchen Line Setup,” “Inventory Count: Beverage.” The geofence also means no more buddy punching the clock-in is automatic when they hit the hotel property. Best of all, however, are the timed screenshots. I don’t watch them live, but I could use them to find out what’s going on in a big event setup. It showed me one time that a setup crew was waiting 45 minutes for a shipment of linen which was the vendor’s fault, not my staff slacking. That kind of proof is gold. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monitask?

The reporting for tips and gratuity tracking is not there. And my servers, they are tip waged. I need to pull this Monitask hours and manually add it with Prilly's tip from our POS. If it was able to import that or have a way of allocating which tip pools get assigned based on the logged hours between zones (bar vs floor) then it would save me half a day every two weeks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Monitask solving and how is that benefiting you?

Two huge problems. For one, payroll precision and overtime management. In the past, supervisors recorded hours on paper. Mistakes happened, arguments happened. Now, the data is just there. I’d encountered the banquet disintegration following every event, always dragging on 30 minutes too long. We tweaked the process, added someone else to shift end and saved hundreds in OT per month.

Second, service on peak times. I was doing our New Year’s Eve Gala and saw on the live dashboard that one bar station was being logged as active, but in main floor service was idle. I got on the radio and told the supervisor to move two people from bar back-up to floor before the guests even realized there was a hiccup. It allows me to be more proactive, rather than reactive with complaints down the line. “What you get, for me and my peace of mind, is worth more than the subscription.” I can finally see what I’m spending my money on. "Real-Time, Data-Driven Sales Insights That Boost Ownership."

4/5

What do you like best about Monitask?

At Plaid, our values include a customer-first and high-ownership approach. What I like best about Monitask is its ability to enable this sense of ownership through its objective, data-driven insights into our sales processes. As a Sales Director, it is my job to make sure our Account Executives are spending time on high-leverage activities such as complex deal coaching and strategic retail account planning, and not simply treading water on administrative tasks. The Live Dashboard gives me the ability to identify bottlenecks in our sales performance around the world in real-time, so we can meet our expansion goals without introducing unnecessary complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monitask?

Although it’s a great product for overall productivity, I would have liked to see more native integrations with fintech CRM workflows. In our space, a salesperson may spend hours engaging in a deep dive tech review or security audit with a retail partner. Monitask may sometimes mark this as low activity if there isn’t constant keyboard activity. I would have liked to see an "Impact Mode" where we can mark areas of deep work or strategic consultation so that it doesn’t affect the overall productivity score. Also, a more API-first approach to custom reporting would have been more in line with Plaid’s own developer-centric DNA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Monitask solving and how is that benefiting you?

Monitask is solving the scalability of trust problem in a distributed and high-growth company. We are growing very rapidly in the retail and SMB business, and I simply can't be in every meeting and every region. Monitask helps me because it gives me the system as the solution. It has replaced the need for status updates with an audit trail. This has helped us immensely in forecasting, because I can actually see the time-on-task for our top opportunities, and I have a much clearer understanding of our pipeline and the cost-to-close for our big retail infrastructure deals.
