To try to understand then cost of sourcing initiative for example, I need to export time data from Monitask over to material costs in NetSuite (and export and map another column back) which can take us a couple hour every quarter spending review. It answers how much we are spending in reduced cost to do the work (i.e., supplier management and procurement). Prior to using Monitask, we didn’t have any data on just how much time was invested in vetting suppliers or engaging in contract negotiations. Now, however, we see that the project for “Sustainable Sweetener Sourcing” consumed 80 hours of specialist work. That information was invaluable in helping us make the case for an increase in FTE to our finance team, and it has helped improve the accuracy of TCO models by 30%. If employees are pushed to cover breaks or lend support on a different floor, they should be able to easily change tasks from a store tablet rather than go all the way back as well. Prior to Monitask, we only had a “dull” clock-in/clock-out system, which made us oblivious about what time was spent for high-priority tasks. (I can see now that “weekly stocktake reconciliation” used up 15 hours across the team last week. We used this data to re-train and optimize the process, which now takes 10 hours and doesn’t require any overtime. Thereis nothing not to like, but I wish the interface for driling down from high level campaign dashboards to actual task-level data was a bit more intuitive. What problems is Monitask solving and how is that benefiting you? It addresses the problem of allocating marketing labor costs to individual client results. Now, for our variety of clients–local businesses and franchises alike–we will be able to accurately reflect behind the scenes work that equals more eyeballs and more leads. Activity tracking and auto-reporting are very accurate which is essential to manage our high volume of PPC & social campaigns. Though fulsome in its own right, the dashboard can come across as cluttered when you're looking to snatch a granular overview for the campaign lifecycle of a particular client. I would like to see more "one-click" filters to segment data by client, platform, task type etc. for quick review meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Monitask solving and how is that benefiting you? It solves the common problem of more accurately associating work costs with individual client campaigns / ad platforms. In the past, estimating times for ad optimizations, A/B testing and reporting was left to individual judgement. Now we have empirical evidence that establishes a direct cause and effect between effort and performance. It also provides us with accurate client billing –neither over, nor under — transparency to justify our retainer fees and helps us internally to see where a bottleneck is in our process flow — all of which continue to allow us to maintain that 3:1 ROAS by being able to track the ROI of how we’re leveraging time with our team. The ADA stealth mode monitoring and activity logs give us full, non-obtrusive transparency into how our teams are executing time-sensitive PR campaigns, media buys, and communications in crises. The reporting is great for internal review, but it’s not easily conducive to package up and include in client facing deliverables like campaign wrap reports or media performance audits. It is a solution for tracking billable hours when they’re the result of unpredictable, frequently reactive labour such as crisis communications and creating press packages. We now have clear data that justifies our retainers, guarantees we get paid for after-hours work, and best places the team where it can make the most impact on any client (particularly important to our non-profit and enterprise clients). Automated time tracking’s precision and project-based reports’ clarity cannot be compared with others. This is useful for helping to prove where time has been spent on an SEO, PPC or development project for each client – this increases trust and reduces any ongoing need to justify our work. Posts are quite detailed, but I'd like to see more pre-built templates particularly for digital agency KPIs (although we have started setting up our own from some of the posts) which would save time in monthly client reviews. This has made our invoicing much more efficient, improved the accuracy of scoping workflows and let us track down internal bottlenecks that were causing margin erosion.
