The interface is so easy to use. With ActionBuilder, we can usually launch a new test within a day (sometimes minutes) with limited HTML/CSS knowledge or strain on IT. What do you dislike about Monetate? We would love same-day reporting, especially during peak season. It would also be helpful to preview multiple experiences at once. Now we can roll out tests quickly, and run the winning variations full-time until they can be added to our code base. Monetate was a great step forward for us in order to create more personalized experiences on our website for our different customers and personas. The set up of new experiences is extremely easy and the selection of options is quite expansive. I was impressed with how quick we were able to integrate and set up new experiences. Within only a few weeks we were seeing actionable results from our campaigns and able to quickly see the ROI we would get from this tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Monetate? When we were originally choosing our personalization tool, we were told that Monetate could easily integrate with other tools, like our CRM. However, once we were all set up and ready to integrate the tools, we were told about certain requirements that made integration nearly impossible. What we thought was going to be a great synergy between our predictive platform (CRM) and our on-site personalization really became a bust. The business problems we are able to solve are as follows: create unique experiences for customers based on their tenure with our brand, showing promotions to only select groups of customers and lastly, testing new on-site experiences with only a portion of our audiences to see what performs best before rolling something out to all visitors. Monetate is easy to use and allows me to focus more of my time on strategy. And with new products rolling out pretty consistently, I'm always looking forward to the new things I'll be able to do with our site and Monetate. The dashboard is slow to load when you're opening actions, archiving a campaign, etc. I can't really think of anything else that I dislike. Recommendations to others considering Monetate: When considering Monetate and the large fee that comes attached to it, also think about how you'll earn that money back and then some before the end of your first year. Once you get rolling with this product, it's addictive. When you question anything about your site, you start testing everything. We have mostly been knocking out issues that customers have written us about in OpinionLab. We will be solving some of our own problems once we finish our migration in June. The tool allows me to effectively test very minor to rather extreme changes within a simple well designed interface. It provides the flexibility for people without a technical background to quickly update content such as banners at very short notice. This is great when you need to react to change and when clearing the cache just isn't an option. While being very easy to use from a non technical mindset, it still gives the flexibility to those with a technical background to design and implement more complex features. Unfortunately due to technical issues our side the position we have to have the Monetate tag causes a slight flicker of content.
