"Quite a useful tool. Good price/value balance."
What do you like best about monday dev?

Monday overall is a very solid project management tool, that offers a wide range of features.

Particularly, the easy way to drag and drop / move items from board to board is very convenient. It helps my team and myself a lot to keep our workflows organised and visible. Many things can be automated, 3rd party tool integration is great (i.e. sync via Google calendar). The API is useful, especially data extraction endpoints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about monday dev?

Analytics capabilities are limited to 20 boards at a time. We're heavy Monday users and we organise in many boards and projects. The 20 boards limit applied to all dashboards requires us to build our analytics outside the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Flexible and Visual Tool for Managing Development Workflows"
What do you like best about monday dev?

I really appreciate how intuitive and flexible the platform is for managing development workflows. It allows me to customize boards to match the way my team works, which makes collaboration much smoother. I also like how easy it is to track progress visually and integrate with other tools, which reduces the need for manual updates. Overall, it helps me stay on top of priorities and deadlines without feeling overwhelmed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about monday dev?

Sometimes the amount of features can feel overwhelming, especially when setting up more advanced automations or integrations. There’s a bit of a learning curve if you want to get the most out of the platform, and occasionally I notice that certain features could be more optimized for speed. The pricing for additional seats and add-ons can also feel high for smaller teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good"
What do you like best about monday dev?

I like how monday dev combines flexibility with structure. The customizable boards, multiple views (Kanban, Gantt, timeline), and automations make it easy to adapt workflows to our team’s needs without losing clarity. I also appreciate the seamless collaboration features—comments, mentions, and real-time updates keep everyone aligned, even across different time zones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about monday dev?

While monday dev is powerful, some advanced features require a bit of a learning curve to set up effectively. The pricing can also be high for smaller teams, especially if you need access to premium views or automations. Additionally, offline functionality is limited, which can be challenging when working without a stable internet connection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A huge improvement to our project and product management process"
What do you like best about monday dev?

Monday Dev makes it much more seamless to create, track, monitor, and manage our backlog and sprints. It allows us to maintain an iterative approach our projects for an accelerated delivery of MVP, as well as manage what we have in our backlog. I appreciate the additional features that aren't available in WM! My direct team has almost entirely shifted to Dev and it is proving to be very successful. We were able to easily implement our processes there and integrate with our other systems for a seamless transition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about monday dev?

There have been several bugs we've seen, but those have since resolved. No complaints as of now! The issues were resolved quickly by support and that allowed us to continue moving forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Useful tool that keeps our team on track with weekly sprints"
What do you like best about monday dev?

Our team use the tool to track clients progress and manage weekly sprints of work. It helps keep me focused while I work through a project and it has been a big help at prioritising what needs to be done soonest based on deadlines. It doesnt hurt that is is nice to look at, and easy to pick up and use! We also love the Active Sprint Dashboard view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about monday dev?

I wish some of the progress bars could be most specific on progress of sub-tasks instead of 0-100. It would also be nice if there was some more automation that prompted items to be updated (i.e. notifying you when they were 'stale'). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about monday dev?

Nothing I can think of. We migrated from Workspace to Dev and since then everything works smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One Stop Solution for Product and Project Managers"
What do you like best about monday dev?

I like that everything from the roadmap to the sprint to the bug tracker is all in one screen. The one thing I dislike about JIRA (which I have been using for the last 5 years) is the fact that I have to go to Confluence for Retrospectives and the new Jira Product Discovery to create my roadmaps. The UX is better than Jira as well. It offers me multiple options (Kanban/Sprints/Chart/Gantt/Table) to choose from in one single screen. The color coding of each task type, priority and other things is something I really like but this might be overwhelming and confusing for other product/project managers. The planned/unplanned indicator is what I really need as well. One of the challenges that I face with my team is when I create a ticket that is not yet ready to be worked on (because it requires further grooming) is frequently picked up by them. I have to personally inform them each time of its readiness status which I don't particularly enjoy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about monday dev?

One thing in particular is completely dislike about monday dev (I can assume how this might be icky for other people as well) is the fact that the Task ID is a big 10 digit number. Jira takes the edge on this one with issue IDs that are searchable from every screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Breeze of use, world of difference"
What do you like best about monday dev?

Monday Dev has made tracking our progress on system development much easier, as well as allowing for an easy to read flow for our stakeholders. Dev has become a daily user in the department, and operates similar to Monday Work Management, so implementation was a breeze! Customer support is also easy to contact, with quick response times and fast solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about monday dev?

While it's very similar to Work Management, some of the cross-board automations are difficult to conduct. Unique triggers for Dev workflows could also be useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Buggy and slow"
What do you like best about monday dev?

The different board views and being able to filter by many categories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about monday dev?

Lots of bugs, such as unable to open ticket unless I refresh. Sorting tickets by person sometimes shows other random tickets. Moving and completing sprints is slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Monday Dev is an excellent tool to manage all projects regarding the food restaurant industry."
What do you like best about monday dev?

Helping to stay on task. Keep everyone on the team focused and organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about monday dev?

Having to pay for certain add on's when they should be apart of the programs. If these are good tools, Monday should incorporate them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
