What do you like best about monday Work Management?

Constantly growing in terms of customization. From built in no code automations and integrations, all the way to API access and manipulation and custom apps for the most advanced users. The community feature is extremely useful as we've implemented quite a few Apps and custom integrations from other users there. Monday.com's customer service team is also top notch. While always not able to solve my issues due to some feature incompatibility they easily understand and I've seen multiple of my questions/issues become full features shortly after. So when they say they are passing along the feedback they actually mean it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about monday Work Management?

Current lack of widespread public road maps. There is a detailed roadmap for the Sub-items feature which has been highly requested and a impactful addition since it's release. But that is the only public road map I'm aware of. It would be nice to see more like this for other features and the system as a whole. There a few features that we have been able to bypass or manage with 3rd party integrations that I feel should already be features on Monday.com. There needs to be a concerted effort to understand and prioritize some of the more basic missing features so that new users aren't turned off. A key one that comes to mind, is lack of HTML email options for automated emails. The ability to automate and email and send it without leaving Monday is great but currently it's only plain text no ability to CC/BCC or attach files(without utilizing integrations which may be out of some users reach). What problems is monday Work Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

Organization, automation and integration. The ability to customize how we organize the data for our business is probably the best feature. But it's gone even farther by allowing us to automate remedial task an the ability to integrate other apps means less time jumping between multiple systems. We are very close to removing our a large portion of manual document creation and build PO's, Quotes, Order Acknowledgements and other documents directly in Monday + email them to customers without ever leaving Monday.com. While this ability may not be new for some companies, it's a huge step for one of our size and industry all without having to invest in a full scale ERP. What do you like best about monday Work Management?

Monday Work Management stands out for its customization capabilities and intuitive approach. The tool allows for the design of workflows completely tailored to the needs of any team or project. Its ease of implementing automations and integrations, without requiring programming knowledge, makes it an accessible option for both technical users and beginners. What do you dislike about monday Work Management?

One aspect to improve is the rigidity in the structure of user packages, which are only available in multiples, which can be impractical and costly for small teams. Additionally, during the initial stages of use, notifications can be excessive and even intrusive, hindering the initial experience for some users. What do you like best about monday Work Management?

A great way to track items for payroll. We use it to track our to do's for payroll and are able to give access to others so they can add items to our boards for each pay period and can attach any documents we need as back up for the request. Love that we can lock certain fields for only select people to edit. I am able to have my own boards for my own tasks and can track where I am in my goals. Very user friendly. What do you dislike about monday Work Management?

Wish it was easier to remove empty/unused boards that were created by employee's who have left the company, just hard to get someone to remove them for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is monday Work Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are able to have different boards fr each pay period and we can grant access to those in other departments that may need to add things for each payroll. With working from home we don't ahve a great way to keep documnetation for back up on what we did for each payroll, Monday makes this easy as we can attach documents to the task, such as emails, spreadsheet, PDF's of letters and such. I also use it to track changes we make in our payroll syste that may effect employees taxes each qtr so we have documentation of what we have done and why and how we may need to fix it. We have lots of employees who move around and that is not easy to track when they move states and we have to track taxes for them. Monday makes that much easier. What do you like best about monday Work Management?

One of my favorite parts of monday is the ability to customize the boards to suit my project. Whether I need to simply keep track of some numbers or track an ongoing project, I can change titles, colors, types, and pretty much anything else I can think of from the main view. There are also a ton of options for customizable views depending on how you want to track something or present it if needed. I'm also a huge fan of the "Forms" option, as it gives me the ability to gather info from other staff in my company without granting them access to the board or creating additional logins for limited needs. The automation is another huge plus. I can keep people in the loop about projects or remind myself about deadlines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about monday Work Management?

The only downside I can think of is sometimes the forms viewer and tables have glitches like being out of order or attaching uploads from someone else's form. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In our previous program, it was difficult to keep track of multiple running tasks as they were all on different screens, had to be searched for, etc. Monday allows me to open the board and see exactly what projects are still ongoing. what step they are on, and what I need to do next. What do you like best about monday Work Management?

Intuitive! I researched features, signed up, and had a team member create the boards we needed. Within a few days, Monday.com was easily integrated into our workflow and we have a much easier time keeping track of projects, tasks and deadlines!

We have now been using Monday.com for almost three years, with different team member constellations, and it keeps being a super useful tool that we turn to several times a week. We particularly enjoy it during our weekly team meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is a learning curve as with everything, but nothing beyond what would be expected.

What do you like best about monday Work Management?

I love the way that work management can be used for a number of features inc project management, Assist management, Employee resource management. I was introuduce to the product as part of my companys migration from one business to another. At the time I didnt like Monday.com due to lack of understanding and training in a very stressfull situation. Last year my boss tasked me with becoming the Monday.com expert for our business. This was the start of my transformation to a Monday.com lover. I am so happy with the ease of use in setting up a number of different boards across muiltiple departments. What do you like best about monday Work Management?

At Ampere, our mission is to bring STEAM education to rural, remote, and Indigenous communities across Canada. With limited resources but ambitious goals, we needed a project management tool that could help us work as efficiently as a for-profit business while staying focused on our mission to make a meaningful impact.

Monday's Project Management tool has become the backbone of how we run our operations, from program delivery to donor management to tracking our social impact. Specifically for our team that has grown rapidily post-pandemic, it’s been a game-changer in aligning our team, streamlining processes, and ensuring we have the shared view of work from any location, which was a pain point when everyone all of a sudden worked remotely. Now we have that shared view and common processes, that make it easy to know the status of everything in play!

One of the biggest boosts for us has been the WorkForms feature. With multiple teams working across different areas—programs, fundraising, operations, —tracking requests did not exist, responsibilities were unclear on task assignments. So now we all use WorkForms for all new incoming work requests or projects, and everything is automated, tracked, and connected, so there’s no more missed requests.

Custom Support has been good, despite the limitations of the plan available for Non Profits.

Implementation and intergation has been a relatively low lift, with a semi formal change management approach and ongoing intenal coaching on process development and sharing of tips & tricks on the platform.

What do you dislike about monday Work Management?

The learning curve for customization and setting up workflows takes time, but it's worth it. You’ll need to invest some effort upfront to learn and test a few automations before you can be confident that you are not missing updates/changes/dates/or tasks.

Some of the most powerful tools (like detailed user permisions and deeper analytics) are locked behind higher-priced plans which not for profits can get but they pay full price (no discount), so being creative and flexible has led to the best results in board designs.

If your team frequently works in remote areas with spotty connectivity, you might need to use offline mode, and most updates will get posted when back online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Honestly, there’s not much to dislike about Monday.com—it’s an incredible tool! But if I had to pick one thing, it would be the process of setting up connections between boards. While the functionality is powerful and allows for great automation and cross-board collaboration, I’ve found it to be a bit tricky and time-consuming at times.

What do you like best about monday Work Management?

monday.com has completely changed the way we work, in the best way. We first started using monday.com 3 years ago for task management. Granted, we didn't really have a similar tool in place at the time (not sure how). Now, we do pretty much all of our task management / internal review processes / campaign management in monday.com. Boards are incredibly easy to set up, edit, and customize. Pretty much everything in monday.com is very user-friendly and intuitive. Everyone on our team loves it. Over the years, I've also come to appreciate how a lot of documents, conversations, etc. now live in monday.com even after team members leave, rather than being forever hidden in their email inboxes. There honestly isn't really anything that I dislike about monday.com. It has been such a positive and helpful addition to our workflows. monday.com is has helped solve the problems that we used to have related to task management and internal review processes. Now, it is super easy for everyone on our team to keep track of everything, stay organized, and stay up to date with the transparency that monday.com allows (seeing status updates vs not having access to conversations in people's email inboxes). This has allowed us to work more efficiently, have better transparency and shared awareness, and also keep our internal review processes super organized so that we maintain legal and brand compliance with everything that we're working on (nothing falls through the cracks). Monday.com is extremely intuitive and covers a great deal of project management needs. While it might be slightly difficult to navigate at first, once you get a system up and running for yourself, it is easy to use and replicate. Automation and integrations with Monday are seamless, and their customer support is there to assist if you are struggling with making a particular system, view, etc work for you. Because there are so many possible functionalities, there is a bit of a steep learning curve initially. Setup takes some time for any sizeable organization, and training takes quite some time as well. Because new capabilities are often being added, continuing education should just be expected. If you're looking for a strong collaboration tool, I don't think there is anything better out there at present than Monday. The platform is constantly being upgraded, so be sure to experiment with their test labs, where you can try out their beta functions; often, you can find gems there. Cross-departmental collaboration is the biggest problem that I am solving with Monday.com. The ability to keep everyone on the same page in one central hub has massively reduced the need for repeated emails and unnecessary meetings. This ultimately saves a lot of time, and spares myself and my colleagues from potential tension or misunderstanding. There is never any question about where to go for the most up-to-date information.
