Nothing stays hidden on an API endpoint when you’re tracking with Moesif. **What do you dislike about Moesif?** The UI isn’t very user-friendly, and the learning curve is a bit steep to grasp everything. **What problems is Moesif solving and how is that benefiting you?** A complete view of any API-related issue, along with full tracking of requests and responses, plus statistics like response time. ### 2. The supports and onboarding team goes above and beyond to make sure client achieve their objective of using Moesif. **What do you dislike about Moesif?** The UI could be cleaner and more modular. **What problems is Moesif solving and how is that benefiting you?** We build a search solution that can be embedded by our users with token ID and needed to track search terms used by each user, frequency of searches and eventually actions that happens in our search bar. The benefits are we provide value-added analytics to our users beyond just search solution but also search analytics. ### 3. It is useful if you want to track metrics and logs and put them in some dashboards. **What do you dislike about Moesif?** It has a lot of features, but some of them are not available in the free tier. For specific features is not that easy to use. For example, for the billing part I found uncorfotable to perform a curl for creating the subscription of a company to a billing plan. Why can't I use the GUI? The documentation about the Moesif APIs is really bad and confusing; I expected something like an openAPI format. At least a description for each field. I used a custom webhook as a billing provider, but there were no info on the documentation about the kind of payload Moesif would have sent to it and there was no clear info about how to set and display the "amount" (the cost of the API) on Moesif. **What problems is Moesif solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is useful for tracking the usage of the APIs and conseguently apply the corresponding billing ### 4. The integration with Heroku is seamless and requires minimal effort to set up, allowing us to quickly start tracking important metrics for our APIs. I really appreciate the granularity of the data Moesif offers, especially the ability to monitor individual API calls, analyze user behaviors, and set up real-time alerts. **What do you dislike about Moesif?** While Moesif offers great features, the cost can add up quickly depending on your data volume and the number of users you're monitoring. For smaller projects or startups, it might feel a bit pricey. **What problems is Moesif solving and how is that benefiting you?** API analytics and monitoring ### 5. When you are filtering request body properties the experience is not as smooth as I want it to be. Sharing links to searches is also prone to friction, I wish it made more use of URI parameters to enable more sharable links to say filtered tables. Here are the problems I have seen with it: * When filtering requests, in the request body property, it shows you what looks like every property moesif has ever seen as a filterable property, instead of the JSON tree structure of the actual payload you are working with, this adds tons of wasted effort in wading through non-existent properties when trying to filter payloads * When you want to change a property that you have already indicated as a filter, it takes you back to the ROOT of the payload, instead of zooming into that part of the tree that the current property is located, this adds a lot of additional wasted effort to get back to that part in the payload Additional quirk: When switching between selected columns in the table view and the stream view, it instantly wipes out any selected columns you indicated when going back to the table view, this is frustrating **What problems is Moesif solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is enabling quick access to API visibility ### 6. The interface is nowhere near as polished as similar companies in the analytics space that we use alongside Moesif like Mixpanel, Amplitude, Heap, etc. It's often difficult to navigate, unclear where things are, and the overall look and feel leaves a lot to desire. **What problems is Moesif solving and how is that benefiting you?** Observability and insights into our API users.
