"Streamlined Practice Management with ModMed"
4/5
What do you like best about ModMed?

I really appreciate ModMed for its ease of use, which significantly streamlines dermatology clinical documentation and practice management. The user-friendly interface makes navigating the system intuitive and less time-consuming, enabling me to focus more on patient care rather than administrative tasks. Additionally, ModMed excels in facilitating the onboarding process of new hires and providers, making it efficient and less cumbersome, which is invaluable for maintaining a cohesive workflow in a busy clinical environment. What do you dislike about ModMed?

I find that several areas in ModMed could use improvement. The intake forms, particularly through the Kiosk, need enhancements to eliminate the need for printing, making the process truly paperless. The PDF manager should enable document signature fields effectively. Additionally, there is a need for more customization options in the intake information to better fit specific needs. Furthermore, the initial setup process was not very easy, which could be made more user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful RCM Tool with Some Setup Challenges"
5/5
What do you like best about ModMed?

I really like the claims denial view feature in ModMed, which allows our staff to efficiently filter and review denials. This feature provides great clarity in understanding the reasons for denials, making it much easier for our team to address them comprehensively. I also appreciate how well this integrates into our practice workflow, especially once standard operating procedures (SOPs) are established, leading to a smoother operation overall. Furthermore, I find the support service responsive; once I open a case, a representative promptly contacts me and submits a ticket to the engineer if needed. The prospect of enhancements, such as adding remark codes to the denial billing view queue, indicates continuous improvement. My positive experiences, backed by the product's efficiency and support quality, make me highly recommend ModMed to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

I’m frustrated with the glitches that occur after updates in ModMed, particularly affecting elements such as EMA, the date of admission, date last seen, and modifiers. Additionally, after updates, doctors receive red marks or incorrect charge amounts, which are issues that need quick attention. Once these problems arise, I typically have to open a case for support, resulting in a representative contacting me and, if necessary, submitting a ticket to the engineering team. Furthermore, I find the initial setup of ModMed complicated; it becomes manageable only after establishing standard operating procedures within the practice. Another area for improvement is the billing and financial rules under the doctor practice settings: I’d appreciate the ability to create rules allowing secondary claims to be generated correctly according to the business unit, instead of being limited to primary claims. "Interactive Features Shine, But Setup and Updates Need Work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about ModMed?

I like ModMed for its interactive features, which enhance the learning experience for both staff and doctors by providing a hands-on approach to understanding the platform. The previous findings feature is particularly beneficial, as it allows for easy access to historical data, streamlining workflow and enhancing decision-making. I also appreciate the sticky note functionality, which aids in efficient information management and record-keeping. The billing alerts are a valuable feature, providing timely notifications and aiding in the financial management aspect of the practice. Additionally, the protocols feature contributes to maintaining consistent and high-quality care standards across the board. These features collectively make the process of teaching ModMed more straightforward and efficient, ultimately enhancing its value and utility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

After updates, ModMed introduces a lot of errors, which complicates the experience and demands additional troubleshooting. Amending notes is more difficult than it should be, which hampers efficiency. Additionally, the Klara component requires significant improvement, particularly regarding handling patient calls late at night and dealing with constant messaging issues. The initial setup of ModMed is not as straightforward as expected, adding to the initial burden of implementing the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly with Room for Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about ModMed?

I appreciate how user-friendly ModMed is, making it easier for me to manage practice operations efficiently. The flexibility offered by ModMed, with its multiple ways to accomplish the same task, stands out to me as a significant advantage. This flexibility is particularly valuable as it allows access to parts of the patient chart in various sections, reducing the need for extensive searching and enhancing efficiency in my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

I find several aspects of ModMed problematic. Firstly, the kiosk feature has limitations because patients cannot add their primary care physician or referring provider information on their intake forms, which could hinder the accuracy and completeness of patient data. Additionally, eligibility checks frequently return with errors, potentially causing inconsistencies or delays in patient processing. The analytics component of ModMed also needs substantial improvement as it currently lacks robustness and efficacy, impacting data-driven decision-making. Furthermore, the reporting function is cumbersome, and generating reports takes excessively long, which can be a significant drain on productivity and efficiency. What do you like best about ModMed?

I appreciate that ModMed is incredibly user-friendly and effective in addressing everyday problems I encounter in dermatology practice, which is a huge plus for me. I love how everything is centralized in one location, making it straightforward to manage different aspects of the practice, including the billing system integrated within the electronic health record (EHR). This integration streamlines operations and enhances efficiency. The support from ModMed, especially during our transition from paper charts to a digital system, was exceptional, including hands-on training in Florida and comprehensive sandbox environments, which greatly facilitated the process. Additionally, the quick resolution of issues, especially with the integration of AI in support, is commendable, demonstrating their responsive and efficient customer service. These features collectively reinforce my positive experience with ModMed over the 10+ years we have used it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ModMed?

I appreciate the simplicity of ModMed, as the system is clean and well-organized, making it easy to use. This simplicity also extends to training, which is very straightforward and hassle-free. The customizable nature of ModMed is a significant advantage for us, especially since we have 53 providers, allowing us to tailor the system to our specific needs. I love that ModMed is dermatology-specific, which means it caters precisely to our field, providing specialized features and functionalities that are critical for our practice. The initial setup of ModMed was smooth, which made the transition seamless. Overall, these aspects contribute greatly to the system's value for our practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

I find the reporting features, including Klara reporting in ModMed, to be lacking. The data provided is not in real time and is often a week behind, which hinders timely decision-making. Additionally, the reports lack detail and depth, making it difficult to dive into metrics for better insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Danielle Corrales of ModMed

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Jessica. Your feedback is helpful as we are always looking to improve.

"Intuitive Clinical Navigation with Room for Improving Analytics"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ModMed?

I love using ModMed because it offers easy clinical navigation through EMA, which streamlines my workflow. The patient tracking feature is incredibly valuable as it allows me to follow the patient seamlessly throughout their entire office journey. Additionally, the quick and easy documentation of procedures and sending prescriptions enhance the patient interaction by making time with them more valuable and meaningful. I appreciate not having to focus excessively on the computer during patient interactions, which enhances the face-to-face experience with patients. Furthermore, I was impressed by the support we received during the initial setup of ModMed in our large enterprise practice, with staff available in many locations offering insights, tips, and tricks. Finally, the clinical features, such as body diagrams for selections, offer significant improvement over the previous system we used, minimizing the clicks required to access different pages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

I find the analytics feature to be cumbersome and not user-friendly. The reports offer varying data, which can be confusing and inefficient to sort through. Additionally, the site navigation is not smooth and can take a lengthy time to load, especially when trying to access a large amount of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really appreciate the ease of use of ModMed, as it allows me to efficiently access all chart notes and medical history in one place, regardless of the provider location or service. This unified access supports seamless operations and enhances the patient experience tremendously, as it enables us to manage both general dermatology and cosmetic treatments without interruptions. The ability to streamline various aspects, such as scheduling and analytics, into a single platform is invaluable for our operations in dermatology. It's particularly beneficial for maintaining continuity and quality when switching between different types of patient care. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

I find the inability to schedule patients online directly through the platform, with an included audit trail, to be a significant drawback. Additionally, I would prefer easier access to edit patient intake forms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Patient Records with Room for AI Growth"
5/5
What do you like best about ModMed?

I appreciate ModMed's seamless integration with Klara and our phone systems, which prevents the need for multiple software packages to operate our daily business efficiently. The ease of recording and accessing patient records is truly invaluable, enhancing our record-keeping and streamlining future patient appointments as well as prescription refills. Additionally, I find that handling patient recall appointments through ModMed significantly simplifies our workflow. The initial setup of ModMed, in hindsight, was straightforward, which added to the overall positive experience with the software. I am impressed by its capacity to enhance our daily operations in such an integrated manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

Klara has limited uses. ModMed reporting isn't as sophisticated as it could be. The lack of AI features regarding patient communication requires that we search out an AI software vendor to help us answer phones/Klaras 24/7. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Danielle Corrales of ModMed

Thank you for your review, Andrea. Your feedback is very helpful for our improvement.
