Modem is the AI back office for freight forwarders: quoting, rate management and CRM on top of your existing systems. AI agents do the work; you sign off. Modem connects a forwarder's inbox, TMS, ERP, rate sheets and portals, and keeps one record of accounts, contacts, lanes, rates and shipments. Agents read enquiries and carrier rate sheets as they arrive, price quotes and tenders on live rates inside the forwarder's margin rules, book carriers, and check carrier invoices against agreed rates. Approval rules by customer, lane, value or margin decide what waits for a person. Modem works on top of existing TMS and ERP systems; nothing is replaced. Gmail or Outlook connects in minutes, and quoting can start within the hour. Customer data stays in the forwarder's workspace and is never used to train anyone else's agents. Single sign-on, role-based access, and a full audit trail of every agent action and who approved it.
