**What do you like best about ModelFront?**

API access and language coverage, including those with exotic writing systems.  Unlike translation providers like Microsoft or Google, ModelFront's quality prediction even has full support for customization for niche pairs like Armenian to Swahili.

Developer support has also been good, and Adam and the team can answer my questions as an NLP researcher.

**What do you dislike about ModelFront?**

It's a bit expensive for the use cases I need

**What problems is ModelFront solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We built a system to monitor content (e.g. academic fraud), and the content we monitor comes in more languages than just English, so we need to translate at scale (millions of sentences), and we don't have millions of dollars, so we need to use raw machine translation, but can't rely on it without a quality score.

We tried stuff like LASER and OpenKiwi but the accuracy was terrible for our task.  COMET is not a fit because we don't have reference translations, this is new content.

The ModelFront API was the first to just provide a score for a translation via an API.

**What do you like best about ModelFront?**

A very accurate estimation of MT quality/risk. Aleady a first evaluation of 6 months post-editing data already allowed us to improve our efficiency while keeping the overall quality level. Easy to use, responsive, and compatible with the most-used data format.

**What do you dislike about ModelFront?**

It's not yet available on some TMS's, so the evaluation process can be cumbersome. But I'm sure they are going to add integrations pretty soon (each TMS should offer this kind of integration actually!).

**What problems is ModelFront solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ModelFront allows to predict MT quality: this way we were able to gain efficiency and plan resources more efficiently. The road to Hybrid Translations looks very promising indeed!
