Government price controls interfere with the proper operation of markets and overproduce or underproduce. The effect on the producing company can vary. Profits can disappear, And instead of healthy rotation of managers, management can become tenured and resistant to removal. **What do you dislike about Model N for Life Science?** In the short duration the poor may benefit from lower prices. In the long duration the supply of essential goods will decline because it will not pay to produce and sell them so shortages in essential goods will become the norm. When shortages start to appear then fewer of the poor will be able to buy them and there may start a black market in essential scarce goods which will go to the highest bidder. **What problems is Model N for Life Science solving and how is that benefiting you?** Government price control seems like a fast fix but it never works in the long duration and can lead to disastrous results with critical shortages. If government controls the manufacture and/or growing of food and price of essential goods then it might work but then essentially the government becomes a government business.
