MobaXterm can connect to almost anything. It is quite flexible. It has Build in SFTP file manager which helps us manipulate and edit remote files in the tree. and with MobaXterm, there's no fiddling with multiple apps, simply connect and everything is available. With many good things it has also got some down sides. It is not completely a freeware. If you use MobaXterm at work, they hope you will pay for it. It's not providing any new features in Linux to warrant the outlay. Although its integration with Putty in Windows as an X client may make it worth your money. Also if you split a screen within a tab, you have to go back to single screen before you can switch to another tab. Sometimes we can have can have some performance issues. I am a little unfond of the tool-set to be entirely honest. The product itself is really valuable, and the ability to use VNC/SSH/SCP/TTY/RDP within the same application suite and modify a secondary channel to send data is really valuable, but the tools are not windows compliant predominantly so its usefulness is less appreciable in a Windows environment vs a Linux one. latest version we have 10.5 has a bug where every few weeks it wont let me ssh to any machine. the only way I have found to bypass it is to go to settings and change the permanent root folder. The ftp console is very usefull and saves a lot of time navigating trought folders, also de Xterm is embeded and easier to use. Many tools like ftp ssh sftp and xterm in one software. The password manager is very usefull also its session manager. It has very powerfull console commands that allow you to administrate your servers in an easier way. I dont use the professional moba x term but the personal one fills all my needs in a very good manner. Mostly used for ssh connections. It has its own file viewer which is very good and you can open files just by double clicking them in the ftp navigator, the Xterminal doesnt need much configuration to be used, its actually very simple much easier than downloading an external Xterm. They could improve the gui and add some way to log in as admin user, also sometimes the ftp doesnt allow me to jump between disks in a pc. It is not free, but the price isnt that expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that it allows me to feel like I'm on a Linux based machine on a Windows OS! After some time working in scripting and developing code I've become reliant on having a powerful CLI and MobaXTerm fulfills this need for me.
