"Intuitive and Flexible Product Analytics Tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

I find Mixpanel very easy to use and intuitive, which makes it simple for me to navigate through product analytics. I appreciate having full control over all aspects of the events we capture, which means I can see all raw events and create custom ones to fit our needs. Additionally, adding events is straightforward and quick, especially when working with R&D. I like how I can measure events that come from different paths but want to analyze as one, and the integration process is very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

I don't like some limitations on having too many events in a single report. Also, it could have better templates to hit the ground running with new product launches. I wish Mixpanel offered more 'pushed' insights without having to build a report and 'know' what I'm looking for, but instead for Mixpanel to tell me what it's seeing in our data. "Blazing-Fast Insights with Powerful Funnels and Retention Charts"
5/5
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

Honestly, it’s the speed. I can go from a question to a shareable answer in minutes—no SQL, no waiting on anyone. The funnel breakdowns and retention charts are ridiculously useful once you get the hang of them. Overall, it stays out of your way and lets you actually focus on the analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

The learning curve is steeper than it looks. New team members take a while to get up to speed, and if your event tracking isn't clean from the start, everything downstream gets messy fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Instant Drop-Off Clarity with Powerful Funnels, Segmentation, and Real-Time Boards"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

The event-based tracking model, combined with the Flows and Funnels reports, gives me immediate clarity on exactly where users drop off in our product. I can segment any event by user properties in seconds, and the interactive query builder lets me answer my own product questions instead of filing tickets with the data team. Real-time data updates and shareable Boards have also reduced our team’s weekly reporting prep from hours to minutes, making it much easier to stay on top of what’s happening. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

The alerting and monitoring capabilities feel underdeveloped compared to the rest of the platform. There's no easy way to set up nuanced threshold-based alerts — for example, getting notified when a conversion rate drops by a certain percentage rather than hitting a hard number. This means my team often discovers regressions reactively during weekly reviews instead of catching them in real time. I'd love to see more flexible alert conditions, anomaly detection, and better integration with tools like Slack or PagerDuty for instant notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Mixpanel Makes Funnel Insights and User Behavior Tracking Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

UI / UX: I spend most of my day in the “Funnels” and “Retention” tabs. The UX is clean and intuitive enough that I can pull data during a live customer success call and show a client exactly where their users are dropping off in an experiment.

Integrations: We sync Mixpanel with our CRM, which lets me see which leads are most active in our product. That visibility helps me prioritize sales outreach based on real intent.

Performance: It’s snappy. If a client asks for a custom cohort analysis during a meeting, I don’t have to “get back to them”—I can build it on the spot and show results in seconds.

Pricing / ROI: For us, the ROI comes from identifying “at-risk” accounts before they churn. When I see a dip in key event triggers, I can proactively reach out and try to save the account.

Support / Onboarding: Their documentation on tracking “Events vs. Users” was vital when I first joined Fibr and needed to map out our internal success metrics.

AI / Intelligence: I use Spark AI to ask questions like “Which industry segment has the highest conversion rate this month?” It saves me from manual filtering and helps me stay focused on sales strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

I find the pricing model fairly aggressive as you scale. While the free tier is generous, the cost per event on the Growth plan can climb quickly once you go beyond the initial 1M event limit, and it starts to feel like the pricing spikes as soon as you cross that threshold. "Easy setup and helpful alerts, saved our company more than once!"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

It's a very passive application for me. The initial set-up was pretty easy, and now I receive an email from Mixpanel that I check everyday. If the numbers are good, no action needed from me. If the numbers are bad, Mixpanel is the first place I go to see which customer accounts need my attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

I actually just tried to locate a recording, we also use microsoft clarity for this, and I found the mixpanel UI a little confusing so I gave up after only about 15 seconds. I'm sure I could have figured it out with the help of their awesome support, but it wasn't an emergency. Other than that I've only had positive experiences with them. "Powerful Analytics with MCP Reliability Issues"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

I like Mixpanel for the ability to send in all our product data, aggregate it, and then use that to get insights about our product. It's amazing to get holistic user insights and the ability to connect it through MCP Anywhere and use AI to drive intelligent results. It also becomes like a data warehouse for us, making it easier to prompt systems like Claude and ChatGPT to help us drive insights, metrics, and create custom dashboards. Plus, the initial setup was quite easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

Their MCP keeps disconnecting. The product actually feels like becoming more and more unreliable. And that has caused us to consider alternatives which we are considering right now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, No-Training Dashboards That Clarify Product Usage and Feature Journeys"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

I like how easy it is to create dashboards without any training, and how it integrates signals from multiple places. It helped us see how people were using our product and by building journeys via dashboards we were able to see how features were performing and how people arrived at those features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

I don't have a specific dislike. I'm sure it has gotten more sophisticated since I used it, and we were on a lower-priced plan, so I'm not sure all of the features that may have been offered, but I found it relatively basic at the time but that's what we needed. AI hadn't yet been integrated into everything. We were a startup - it was a good product to fit our needs without needing excessive Dev support and it was the right price. "Mixpanel Makes Deep Product Analytics Easy with Intuitive Dashboards and Reports"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

What stands out most about Mixpanel is how accessible it makes deep product analytics. First, the setup process was incredibly easy; we were able to integrate it and start tracking our core events in no time. Once you are in the platform, the dashboards are crystal clear and highly intuitive, making it easy to share data across different teams.

I also love how simple it is to build custom reports. You don't need to know SQL to get answers to complex questions, the drag-and-drop interface allows you to build funnels, retention charts, and user flows in seconds. Finally, the flexible data structure is a massive advantage. Because it is event-based, it easily adapts to our specific business model and allows us to pass whatever custom properties and traits we need without feeling boxed in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

To be completely honest, there really isn't much to dislike. We have had absolutely no issues implementing, deploying, or using the platform on a daily basis. The entire experience has been smooth and seamless for our team from day one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Granular Insights and Easy Funnels, but Setup and Pricing Need Care"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

Mixpanel’s event-based tracking gives us an incredibly granular view of real-time user behavior.

Building complex conversion funnels and retention cohorts takes just a few clicks without needing SQL.

The intuitive UI allows our non-technical team members to easily build and customize their own dashboards.

It completely removes the guesswork from understanding exactly where users drop off in our product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

The initial implementation and data schema setup require significant developer resources to get right.

If you don't strictly manage your event tracking plan, your data can quickly become messy and cluttered.

The pricing tiers can scale up rapidly and become expensive as your monthly tracked users grow.

There is a noticeable learning curve for non-analysts to fully grasp advanced properties and formulas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Tool, Needs Better Onboarding"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

I particularly like Mixpanel's session replay feature where I can look at recordings of customers on my website or app. It allows me to see what they did and any constraints they had. I can understand errors or where customers are getting lost, their pathway to success or failure. This feature is very helpful as it helps me review where customers get held up and revamp the product to be more intuitive, reducing headaches for them. It allows for testing and improvement to see if customers in the future face the same hurdles or if they successfully journey where we want them to go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

I think, in general, the onboarding of Mixpanel could be improved, especially for nontechnical members of the team. How people might understand all the capabilities of Mixpanel. And have almost an easier section and then a more experienced difficult section. Where their self tag tools that say, okay. If you wanna get started here, for the nontechnical people building things, here's the easier things you can do within Mixpanel that will show some success. But are less complicated. And then you have more complicated things that might have a warning associated with it that may not be good for a nontechnical or a novice user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
