Honestly, I did not like anything about the Miva Platform. If you are looking at Miva, you should compare it t custom development projects. It will cost you an arm and a leg to get a website that looks like a simple Shopify template that you can achieve. If you are a developer or a designer with some HTML knowledge, I highly recommend Miva Merchant. It's super robust and effective to manage small to very large stores. I did find I needed some HTML dev knowledge to customize it fully -- although templates are available to meet basic needs -- and we did purchase some additional, third-party extensions to meet all of our needs, but overall, a very solid platform. It's very difficult to change the site appearance as each page must be edited manually. Use of short codes makes it a bit easier, but it's hard to manage these without inventing your own system. The cost of using Miva increased when they started charging per active user and costs also went up. "Lifetime licenses" were made obsolete with the new pricing policies. For a non-tech company owner, I have found some elements difficult to utilize but amazed at myself for being able to learn the ropes. This being said, Miva techs are right there to step in and help.
