Founded in 1977, the company initially developed a suite of financial management software solutions. That product line has been continually re-engineered delivering the latest in technology; while focusing on creating the ultimate user experience for their clients. The current version, FMS III, was released in mid-2014. ## FMS Reviews ### 1. Wonderful service of FMS **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2021 **What do you like best about FMS?** FMS has the great industry experience and they built their product based on real-world demand. **What do you dislike about FMS?** Nothing so far I found which I can point out a bad experience. **Recommendations to others considering FMS:** Go for it. **What problems is FMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** With FMS one can easily manage their complex document management system. Offshore client document management is easy to handle. ### 2. It makes it easy to see the history of a construction project in one glimpse. **What do you dislike about FMS?** There is no app that you can download to your phone. You need a laptop to put inspection results in the field. Also the voice recognition I used in it didn't work very well. Don't know if it was the computer or the software. I used the voice recognition in an Apple lap top. This software is more difficult to add inspections. It's not the worst software I've ever used as a Building and Electrical Inspector, but it's not the best. Also Mitchell Humphrey is very difficult to add notes on inspections. Very clumsy how you have to scroll right and add notes when you might easily have the wrong line and make the notes on the wrong inspection. **Recommendations to others considering FMS:** It is good for staff who primarily work in the office but it is not the best software for those in the field. **What problems is FMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Better service at the municipal level in order to help private industry.
