"Makes Teamwork Easier"
4/5
What do you like best about Missive?

Ease of use. Even if it's your first time using it, the interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

The filtering options are quite limited compared to Outlook. I'd love more powerful and flexible filters to make it easier to find and organize emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Makes shared inboxes way more manageable for our team"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Missive?

The biggest advantage for us is how Missive keeps team communication and email in the same place. Being able to assign emails, leave internal comments, and avoid duplicate replies has made a noticeable difference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

It’s not the easiest tool to get started with. There are a lot of features, and it takes some time to understand how everything fits together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Better coordination on product costing across teams"
5/5
What do you like best about Missive?

Being able to pull in the right experts through private comments - without making the actual email a mess - is super helpful. Also like that all the cost discussions live in one spot instead of being split across different department inboxes. File sharing handles our costing spreadsheets and backup docs pretty well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

Could handle big Excel files with multiple costing scenarios better - sometimes the attachment features feel limited for complex workbooks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Close week is actually manageable nowThreaded Team Visibility"
5/5
What do you like best about Missive?

Close period hits hard every month and Missive keeps our team from drowning in it. Whether

it's reconciliation questions, approval requests, or just tracking what still needs to get done

before we can wrap up, everything's visible to the whole team in one place. Really like that all the discussion stays tied to the actual email it relates to instead of floating around

separately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

When you're dealing with journal entries that need a bunch of backup documents, keeping

all those attachments organized gets a bit unwieldy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Team Inboxes and Embedded Comments Make Collaboration Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Missive?

I like the team inboxes and comments embedded with messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

Some of the backend admin setup is more challenging than it needs to be.

Comment filtering and options are not as robust as they could be. Most relevant example is that comments to a team (rather than an individual) go to ALL team members’ inboxes like a broadcast. Admins should have the option to choose how this functions and decide whether the comments go to the Team Inbox instead of All Team Members’ inboxes. This follows the philosophy of Team Inboxes helping to centralize work by allowing comments to be centralized as well. We’ve worked around it with a creative label/archiving rule, but it’s not ideal. "The perfect solution for freelancers, SME's, and larger organizational teams"
5/5
What do you like best about Missive?

I absolutely love Missive. I have been using it quite some time now, since they were just in the start-up phase. For private mail accounts it provides all tools you need (for free, mostly). Lots of functionality and lots of integrations: from Todoist (or similar) to openAI or API access.

Also an absolute must for teams: affordable plans for a very broad package of team functionality: delegating conversations, tagging each other, discussing conversations, managed signatures, managed responses (templates), and shared inboxes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

So far there is not much I do not like about Missive. I think it is a responsive web-app across the different platforms (instead of a dedicated app), but that's something you barely notice while using it. It makes the experience solid, stable, and uniform across all platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All our communication channels finally in one spot"
5/5
What do you like best about Missive?

Having everything consolidated is the game changer. Used to be jumping between separate email accounts for general questions, HR matters, and facilities issues all day long. Now it's all unified. Being able to hand off threads and see where they stand ensures stuff doesn't slip through the cracks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

Saving attachments could be smoother - when there are multiple files I want to download, having to grab them one by one gets tedious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Missive is central to how we run shared inboxes and maintain client trust"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Missive?

Missive has become an essential tool for how our team manages communication. We depend greatly on shared inboxes, and Missive streamlines collaboration while maintaining both context and consistency. Features like internal comments, shared visibility, and clear ownership help ensure that everyone stays informed about the status of any conversation at all times.

From the client’s point of view, the process is straightforward and professional. Clients only need to remember one or two email addresses, while our team can handle messages together behind the scenes. This reduces friction for clients and allows us to maintain a unified, consistent voice, no matter who is replying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

For quite some time, we found search to be a real challenge. Locating older conversations or particular messages was not as straightforward as we would have preferred, especially given the large volume of emails we handle. However, search functionality has definitely improved over time, and it is now far more user-friendly than it used to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Collaboration Made Easy with Flexible Shared Inboxes"
5/5
What do you like best about Missive?

Collaborating with teammates, ability to send emails to different inboxes, and ability to close emails if no response is needed anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

Setting up the aliases and signatures settings were a little confusing at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Handles our heavy invoice volume without breaking a sweat communication Smooth and Organized"
5/5
What do you like best about Missive?

We're pushing through hundreds of vendor invoices every week and Missive keeps the communication side from becoming a nightmare. Anyone on the AP team can jump in and respond to vendor payment questions without digging through their colleagues' private emails. The routing system is great too - anything that needs special sign-off or has a discrepancy automatically lands with the right person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

The phone app gets the basics done but some approval actions still need desktop access which is frustrating on the go. Also wish you could take action on a bunch of invoices from the same vendor all at once instead of one by one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
