## Missive Reviews
 ### 1. Managing your team email from one place is great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

The shared inboxes and task assignment process work seamlessly, making it easy to manage internal communication without needing to leave email. By consolidating and reviewing both emails and web forms on a single screen, our workflow has become much more efficient. The rules and automation features, along with SLA tags and a robust search function, are particularly effective. Both the desktop and mobile apps are quick to respond, and the available shortcuts significantly enhance productivity.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

At times, we encounter delays with indexing and search, and certain reporting or statistics screens feel somewhat limited. I believe the permission matrix could benefit from greater detail. While the template and response management features are strong, larger teams might find themselves needing additional options for versioning and approval workflows.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive brings together scattered team emails into a unified inbox, making it clear who is responsible for each message and preventing conflicting or duplicate replies. By using assignment and SLA tags, every conversation is assigned an owner and a deadline, which helps speed up response times. The platform offers a comprehensive view of customer history by merging email, chat, WhatsApp, and form interactions onto a single screen. Team members can communicate internally right within the message thread using comments and @mentions, which cuts down on forwarding, CCs, and unnecessary meetings. Automated rules handle repetitive tasks like tagging, routing, and sending templates, saving time and reducing the chance of mistakes. Its robust search and filtering features make it easy to locate past cases, attachments, or contacts in seconds, while transparent activity logs and basic reporting tools boost accountability and support team training. The mobile apps allow users to respond to and assign messages even while away from their desks. Overall, Missive turns team email into a streamlined operational workflow, resulting in quicker responses, fewer mistakes, and improved customer satisfaction.

 ### 2. Missive facilitates interdepartmental collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sylwia C. | Administration Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

This program has truly allowed us to completely forget about the difficulties we faced previously when using a different program. The ability to communicate through thread notes and create categorized inboxes greatly facilitates our work, especially when combined with rules, which for me are another very big advantage of Missive. Since we implemented it in the company, my inbox partially manages itself automatically. Missive is intuitive, its interface is similar to other programs, but it includes several improvements. The ability to integrate with AI is a great simplification of daily work. It is clear that the program was designed by people who understand user needs and their potential problems.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

It would be great if it were available in a Polish language version. I don't see any other drawbacks.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous email management tool often caused problems when there were more messages. Additionally, to communicate with each other, it was necessary to use an external, separate tool. Thanks to Missive, these issues have been completely resolved, ensuring smoother and more seamless collaboration.

 ### 3. Easy-to-Use Threaded Communication That Keeps Us Organized

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Missive?**

It's a very easy tool to use where we internally can communicate via threads before sending out mails, which is a really cool feature and keeps us organized!

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

It can be quite funky on the formatting at times, and sometimes we don't immediately see some messages in each member's inboxes

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive is helping us with our internal communication, reviews before sending out emails, transparency for the team on each other's emails and inboxes and how we could help each other on a scenario, etc.

 ### 4. Missive has improved our workflow in the sales department

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian D. | Customer Contact, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

Before switching to Missive, our sales team was using Google tools for email and task management, but we often faced technical issues—especially when handling a large volume of emails. Since adopting Missive, our workflow has become much more streamlined, and collaboration between team members is faster and more efficient. The shared inboxes, assignments, and chat features have truly transformed how we manage customer communication. I also appreciate how frequently Missive is updated with thoughtful improvements that reflect real user needs. It’s clear that the developers are actively listening and refining the product, which gives us confidence in using it as a long-term solution.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

At the moment I can't think of anything, but after every software update I have the conviction that it really could have been done even better!

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improved handling of a large volume of emails

Enhanced team collaboration with shared inboxes and task assignments

Reduced technical issues compared to Google tools

Enabled faster and clearer communication with clients

 ### 5. Highly Recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piotr G. | COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

When looking for an alternative to our previous email program, our primary need was to enable communication among team members within individual threads. Missive easily met these needs and, in addition, showed us other features that proved useful in our daily work, such as easy rule creation, tasks within specific messages, and organization by labels. The interface is intuitive, and Missive's support is very helpful, always responding to our needs quickly and effectively.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

In the future, it would be good to consider an option where changing the assigned user does not affect the email's position in the inbox. However, this is not a problem that significantly hinders our work.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive has easily streamlined the communication process between our customer service team and management when their support is needed. It has also improved workflow through the ability to use templates and automatically distribute emails, allowing us to reallocate saved human resources to other important company development issues.

 ### 6. An intuitive tool for managing correspondence

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katarzyna L. | Specjalista do spraw Obsługi Klienta, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

As a customer service employee, I value tools that support smooth and organized communication with customers.

Missive is excellent for everyday work – its greatest strengths are transparency and the ability to share inboxes with the team.

I also appreciate the internal commenting feature, which allows for the exchange of opinions without the need to send additional messages. This facilitates internal communication and speeds up decision-making.

Overall, I rate Missive very positively – it is a solid and modern tool that supports professional customer service and helps maintain organized communication.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

The program is not available in Polish – it's only available in English.

Notifications sometimes arrive with a delay.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive helps organize all customer communications in one place. This eliminates the need to search through multiple email inboxes or manually forward messages between teammates. Everyone on the team sees the same messages and can respond or leave a comment immediately—no need to write additional emails.

Missive accelerates our daily work, improves organization, and facilitates team collaboration. It makes customer contact more efficient and professional.

 ### 7. A true all-in-one inbox.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiago F. | Fullstack dev, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

All of our team's communication in one place. We don't have to jump between Slack and our email inboxes.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

It takes a few days to get used to all the rules and integrations. The mobile app is good, but sometimes the notifications can feel a bit delayed compared to the desktop app.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can assign every single conversation to a specific person or team. I can look at my inbox and know exactly what I'm responsible for. Plus, being able to chat with my team right inside an email thread, instead of copy-pasting links into a separate chat app

 ### 8. Must have for even small teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yiddy S. | Admin, Construction, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Missive?**

Chatting inline, constant features added and improvements. Very well built, robust, thought out, and great API. The integrations are very usefull too. I use it in 2 organizations (construction and service), completely transformed how we manage our emails.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

Some concepts might be a little overwhelming and confusing to non-savvy users. Users may struggle to comprehend the terminology and methodology of shared inbox, personal inbox, archive, close, when does it get added to personal. etc. But there’s great onboarding material and documentation nowadays.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication silos, and seggregation on multiple platforms. Traditionaly, emails would be discussed internaly via another platform. Also solves the issue of team inbox delegation.

 ### 9. Precisely What We Needed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ilona W. | Sales manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

We had been searching for a long time for a program that would meet our unique needs – multiple users, numerous connected email inboxes, and the necessity of easily prioritizing and tagging threads. Missive has proven to be a tool that perfectly fits our requirements. It's incredibly intuitive to use, allowing the entire team to learn it very quickly. The ability to set up rules significantly streamlines and automates work distribution within the team, and the option to use AI rules and other features like email templates means that by implementing Missive, we've been able to give up several other tools, as it combines everything in one place. Most importantly, Missive has truly excellent support – always responding quickly, to the point, and comprehensively resolving any issues. It's an excellent solution, and since switching to Missive, the comfort of our daily customer service has been at a much higher level than before.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

We'd be really happy if it became available in Polish.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to automatically manage message distribution among team members has significantly streamlined my daily workflow. Templates and AI rules save the team time, and easy tagging makes it simpler to manage priorities.

 ### 10. Game-Changing Comment Feature

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grace H. | Property Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Missive?**

The comment feature is a huge game changer

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

The auto draft feature can sometimes be confusing.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive is solving communication errors, helping to save time in the long run.

 ### 11. Missive has made our small business far more efficient and easy to manage

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

Missive is great at combining multiple inboxes & message treams into one interface that let's you assign messages to co-workers, chat behind the scenes with co-workers, create tasks based on those messages and just generally streamline and focus all of your internal and external business communications. We used to use Google Groups shared inbox and a few other gmail plugins to try and get shared inbox behaviour but nothing worked well until Missive, and Missive has a ton of quality-of-life benefits on top.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

While the customer service and general response time is great, it does often take a while for small bugs to get fixed or feature requests to get implemented.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive allows us to have multiple inboxes in one interface and to assign messages to one another. It allows us to communicate behind-the-scenes about those messages and to assign tasks based on those messages to ourselves or each other. It's a single interface for us to manage all of the communications, both internal and external, that we need to run our business. With its API, we've also been able to hook in information about our customers from our external database right within Missive.

 ### 12. Valuable to Our Business

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Courtney M. | Bookkeeper, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

Missive combines group and individual chat features with email integration, which makes communication internally and externally so much more efficient. I love having the ability to tag emails or conversations so that it's easy to find them again. Being able to have a "side-bar" conversation with coworkers about an email without having to forward it or jump on zoom is really helpful, love the platform!

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

I don't have many complaints about Missive, but would like an option to have an audio que play when a chat message has been received, similar to other messenger services like Slack and Teams. When I'm working, I'm not looking at my email, so it would be great if there could be some type of audio or on screen alert to indicate an internal chat message has been received.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Combining chat with email and having the ability to interact with both so easily is a huge bonus! Having chat, email, and my calendar all on one, easy to use screen makes my workday much easier and efficient.

 ### 13. Shared Inbox Makes Team Communication Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louise P. | Marketing Manager & Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

I love the shared inbox feature...it’s straightforward and user-friendly, making communication among team members both easy and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

I feel that the live chat function could be improved. Its currently very limiting.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive has really helped our team stay connected, particularly when we’re managing several client enquiries simultaneously. It allows us to quickly see who is responding, leave notes for one another, and ensure that no client is overlooked. The platform has eliminated much of the back-and-forth and confusion that used to arise when things became hectic.

 ### 14. First Week Missive User Perspective

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

I really like the fact that Missive makes emails a conversation topic. It's super easy and convenient to have internal team discussions about user/customer facing topics without information accidentally slipping out by someone replying to the wrong person. Also makes it convenient to include people in the conversation by just tagging them in the message, which I'm sort of used to, from other communication platforms like Slack and Teams. Our team uses Missive on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

My brain is wired to look for people not topics when I want information, so it's taking me some time to adjust. It also took some explaining to understand what Missive actually does, because I haven't used a platform like Missive before.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's great at separating the customer/user facing communication interface (emails) and internal team communication interface (Missive chats), while having both things sort of in the same place.

 ### 15. Assignees Keep Me Focused on What Matters

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandros S. | Business Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Missive?**

I love assignees. I dont have to bother looking for emails that are for me. My manager assigns me what I need to act on or respond to. This allows me to focus more on my work.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

Personally, I haven't came across anything that I disliked.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, it saves me time and helps me with communication task management.

 ### 16. Overall positive experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyssa J. | Bookkeeper, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

I like that Missive provides a central hub for our whole team. I like how easy it is for emails to be reviewed, passed and assigned to other members of the team. I like that the Missive team is very responsive with support and continuing to make updates to improve the platform. I like how easy it is navigate to settings and explore different features.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

I think the "tasks" and "assigned to me" features could use some improvement. I feel like they are essentially the same feature but maybe I am not using them properly. I would also like to click multiple tasks at the same time and move them to closed all at once.

The search feature in Missive could also be improved. I am not always able to find old emails and conversations as easily as I would like.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a central location for the whole team to easily and efficiently communicate with each other and our clients.

 ### 17. Easy to Use, Messenger-Like Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joy S. | Virtual Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Missive?**

Easy to use, like messenger app, user friendly

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

hmm so far nothing, everything is okay. i have no problem

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

communications, not top tier problem but its easy to use

 ### 18. Our best app at Morning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mathias C. | CIO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

The simplicity, the ease of use, the efficiency and the rapidity to enroll new users as this is exactly what they need to our job.
I also love the fact that Missive is a small team, with nice people, that always answer you in a few minutes even for a very small problem that concern just your team/use case.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

Not sure to have a lot to complain about Missive, or maybe the price for users that will just use it a mail client. The sharing / talking features could not be usefull for some people in our company but I would love to have them also on Missive.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive has been made to resolve a basic thing in companies : working together. And it maked what it need to do. It helps us working efficiently together as a team, and as a custumer client shared inbox.

 ### 19. Intuitive and User-Friendly Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miriam M. | Customer Support Agent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

It is very intuitive. Works very well for teamwork.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

When you change tags, the previous tags remain recorded in the conversation. If you accidentally assign the wrong tag—which can happen frequently when working with tags all day—the incorrect tag also stays there. Over time, this can create clutter and make it harder to keep conversations organized. Also, when you reference a conversation in another, it does not always create a line saying "you've referenced this topic in that conversation" (with the links), and it would be good if so.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The upgrades are good.

 ### 20. Finally an email app that actually helps teams work better

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mustafa A. | Product Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

Missive has made team communication around email so much easier. I love how everything — emails, chats, and tasks — is in one place. The ability to comment on emails and share drafts with teammates saves us so much time. It just feels smooth and well thought out. The interface is clean, and it really fits how teams actually work day to day

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

There’s not much to complain about. Sometimes mobile notifications come in a bit late, but it’s minor. Overall, Missive just works — it’s reliable, simple, and makes team collaboration around email actually enjoyable

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive helps our team manage a shared inbox without chaos. Before, multiple people were replying to the same emails or missing them completely. Now, everything is clear — who’s handling what, what’s pending, and what’s done. It saves a lot of back-and-forth and keeps client communication super organized.

 ### 21. Modern, Fast, and Intuitive Customer Communication with Missive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lara M. | Sales Admin and Business Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

For me, it works as a to-do list that helps me stay on top of my inbox and stay connected with my teammates.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

There’s no option to filter or sort messages by date, such as ordering them from newest to oldest.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None so far, as it’s my first week using it as a newly hired employee.

 ### 23. Review of Missive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** BT N. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

The best thing about missive is the collaboration and integration aspect of the software. It is also very easy to use and in my use case, it is the standard go to software which I use always

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

Some aspects of what most users are keen on and perhaps used to from other competing software are not available. An example is the seamless use of inserting an e-mail which is a very useful tool on outlook.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Structured communication management and client management. The task function although in its infancy is a great improvement and has a lot of potential in the future. This adds the functionality of running from one point of software. I think there is a great opportunity to further explore this functionality; recurring tasks, sub-task functionality,

Its smooth performance and regular updates, each one making it even more efficient and enjoyable to use, mean I haven’t even considered switching to another solution. Great job! My compliments to the entire Missive team, and thank you for creating such an excellent product!

 ### 27. Nice experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrik P. | Lawyer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

Missive is a nice app for collaboration with the team(s) within 1 app without the need to use different communication channels, which saves a lot of time every day while working with the team on different tasks. The task feature is also really helpful and saves some time while giving the advantage of an efficient wait to check the task progress.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

I would recommend optimising the app so that the delay between Missive and Gmail is not that long.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves a lot of time during the collaboration with the team(s) within and eliminates the need to use different communication channels.

 ### 28. Incredibly Organized—Snooze and Tasks Make It a Must-Have

The way it keeps everything so organized - I love the snooze and tasks - I really love everything about it. I could never go back to Outlook! The rules are fantastic. And it's so easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

Nothing its amazing! They take your feedback and apply it. It's just a great program!

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The in box wild west! It has transformed how our team is able to work together.

 ### 29. Gmail Integration and Labels Make This a Standout Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

Seamless Gmail integration: Connects easily and syncs smoothly with Gmail accounts.

Powerful labeling system: Labels and shared organization features make team inboxes easy to manage.

Email templates: Saves time and ensures consistent responses across the team.

Collaborative workflow: Real-time chat and shared drafts make internal communication around emails simple and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

Performance issues: App can be slow and laggy with multiple accounts or large inboxes.

Limited functionality: Some desktop features are missing on mobile; integrations are fewer than competitors.

Complex setup: Rules, labels, and team settings can be confusing and unintuitive.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive helps our team work together on emails in one place. We can comment, assign tasks, and use templates for faster replies. Labels keep everything organized, and the Gmail integration works really well. It saves time and makes communication easier.

 ### 30. Email doesn’t suck anymore — thanks to Missive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Florian B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

The performance. It’s unbelievably fast. I run a customer service agency with 700+ tickets/day and Missive handles it effortlessly. I connected 16 inboxes, added users, and everything worked smoothly in minutes. It truly feels like having superpowers.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

Honestly, I tried to find something negative… and couldn’t. If I had to nitpick, maybe some minor UI details — but that’s just me being picky.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run a customer service agency that handles over 700 emails per day for 20+ e-commerce brands. We’ve tested every other helpdesk and shared inbox solution — and nothing came close. Most were slow, clunky, outdated, or just overcomplicated.

At some point, we even went back to Gmail because the alternatives were so painful. But as we grew, Gmail became a nightmare.

Switching to Missive completely transformed our workflow. We literally tripled our productivity, and for the first time in years, we actually enjoy managing emails again. It brought peace and clarity back to our business.

 ### 31. The one inbox tool you'll ever need.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

After trying out multiple tools that would help us consolidate our Facebook Messenger channels, email addresses, and even internal comments in one, we're glad to have found Missive. It's the one inbox tool you'll ever need: great features, excellent customer support, and competitive pricing.

Migrating from the platform we initially were using was easy because of how intuitive using the tool is. You are given freedom to decide how to make use of the "teams" system they have, which means you can easily tailor the system to fit your needs.

Without having to jump from one tool to the next, we are able to respond to customer messages, emails, leave notes for other members of the team, and even assign tasks to each other. There are canned responses that helps our employees easily send frequently-used messages, and the robust rules feature allows us to automate our workflow.

To top it all off, customer support is fantastic. Whenever we need assistance, they are an email away and get back to us the soonest possible time. Not only are their replies speedy, they also always go the extra mile to ensure that we receive the help that we need.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

The only difficulty we have with Missive is the need to set up from scratch some parts of the tool whenever a new employee joins the team. We would need to access their account, fix the sidebar and adjust some preferences to ensure consistency for all members of the team. It doesn't take long to do it, but having an option to allow admins to select settings applied across the board would be great. Other than that, there's nothing we dislike!

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We grew tired of having to use multiple tools just to get things done. Missive allows us to stay within one tool and do what we need efficiently and easily.

 ### 32. Collaboration made simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marie M. | Co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

We’re a small, bootstrapped team, and Missive has truly become the engine of our communication. What started as just a shared inbox for customer support has grown into the central hub where we manage not only support but also internal discussions and collaboration.

The collaborative features are what make it stand out: being able to assign, comment, and draft together in real time has saved us countless back-and-forth messages. On top of that, I really appreciate the clean UX and simplicity. It’s intuitive, fast, and never gets in the way.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

No shortcomings so far, we love the tool

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing customer support
Having a shared and collaborative email inbox

 ### 33. Great tool! Great support! Great everything!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle W. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

I love how easy it is to manage all client communications in Missive. Be it sms, email, or IG DMs, it all ends up in one place. Super simple! It's also super customizable and with the new AI rules integration, it can handle some pretty complex workflows.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

Some of my clients find the price of Missive to be its biggest flaw. It's not cheap, but it's one of the few services that actually increases its value with useful features, earning its monthly subscription.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive helps me bring all communications under one roof. I'm not having to jump back and forth between services/applications. It's also acting as a super basic CRM where I can easily see past correspondence with clients. I also use their custom integrations feature to connect to my Woocommerce site to get sales data about clients.

 ### 34. Easy Team Collaboration with Helpful Assign and Snooze Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Missive?**

It’s easy to collaborate with colleagues, since other team members can jump in and provide input on an email. The assigning feature is a great tool, and the snooze button is also helpful for emails or tasks to resurface later as a reminder about anything still pending.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

Some keyboard shortcut prompts make it do weird things. It also lags pretty often.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I’m stuck writing an email to a client, a colleague can jump in and help. And if I’ve missed an email, they can step in to assist as well.

 ### 35. Very Useful Team Chat Feature

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Missive?**

The chat with your team feature is very useful

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

It is quiet a bit hard to marked read or unread an email

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it reduces the information and emails from going to one place to another because emails and chatbox are all here

 ### 36. Game changer for collaboration and shared inbox for a small team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett S. | Customer Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

We're a small team working hybrid remote and having a collaborative tool like Missive has been incredibly helpful. As CSM, every day I'm working with multiple clients while also coordinating with various internal team members, so being able to add people to conversations and have inline discussion is a massive time saver and helps keep everything organized and well documented.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

We had some trouble setting up a shared inbox for a Google group account, but we were able to get that sorted in the end. There's a bit of a delay between receiving the emails in Gmail vs Missive, which can be a bit frustrating when testing emailed OTPs.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaborative shared inbox. Not just shared, but actual discussion and collaboration.

 ### 37. Email and chat made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan B. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

The ability to have a conversation around an email with colleagues, without fear of sending it to the customer. The feature list is rich and there is a huge number of useable and relevant integrations. One of the biggest upsides of the product is that developers not only have a published feature request area, but update include requested features and features that are in developtment are marked in that list - clearly they are listening to their user base!

We use the product daily, across the business, with new staff finding it easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

Nothing of note to list, and the occassional issue is dealth with swiftly by knowledgeable support staff.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Biggest issue that Missive resolved is the ability to check facts with colleagues before and during crafting a reply. The other big problem it solved was by turned shared mailboxes into Teams, enabling areas like Customer Service to work together, avoiding mis-communications through collaboration.

 ### 38. Best Addition To Our Teams Tech Stack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer G. | Owner & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

I love that I am able to share emails easily with my team and assign emails that come directly to me to team members so efficiently and easily. It allows me to increase the speed in which we help our clients exponentially and I know that they appreciate it as well!

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

Nothing! I haven't had any issues and if I do, their support is super fast and always resolves my problems!

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a growing business owners a lot of emails come directly to me when my team is able to take care of them faster. This allows me to flow emails directly to team inboxes where we can all share the info coming in and take care of our clients faster and in a more organized fashion. I love that we can also chat about an email chain without having to send emails or alert the sender of the conversation making it extremely easy to problem solve in real time without having to leave the app.

 ### 39. An email client actually worth paying for

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

The moment I tested Missive I knew that I'd purchase it for the whole organization. For the first time since the launch of Gmail, I was using an email tool that actually improved workflows for the whole team. Have you ever said, "Boy, I wish Google would implement xyz?" It's in Missive.

Our most technophobic teammate immediately wanted to use it. As did our whole tech team. What more can you ask for?

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

With all of the power, comes a LOT of customization. It takes a bit too much testing to figure out workflows, but once you have them they are easy.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It acts as a shared inbox for our customer service. And inline chatting provides private conversations about emails without forwarding or any special tools.

 ### 40. Amazing experience

**Reviewed by:** Ayushi T. | Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Missive?**

Missive has been our shared inbox solution for over five years, and we couldn't be happier. As an account manager at Apexure, the platform has streamlined communication across our team, allowing us to collaborate seamlessly and stay organized. Whether it's managing client conversations or coordinating internal discussions, Missive's intuitive design and robust features just work for us. What truly stands out is their support — every time we’ve had a query, their team has provided quick, detailed, and helpful responses. It's been a game-changer for our workflow, and we can’t imagine working without it

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

I didn't experience any disadvantage about using Missive yet.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive helps me respond faster, collaborate more effectively, and deliver a seamless client experience—all from a single platform.

 ### 41. Comments, Draft Collaboration, Labels, and Shared Inboxes Done Right

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Missive?**

Comments, collab drafts, labels, shared inboxes

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

I do miss the read receipts, though I have heard and understand your reasons for not using them.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communicating with colleagues and clients in an efficient and collaborative way

 ### 42. Great functionalities but some struggles with the interface

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

I think tagging people in an email is the best feature from Missive, as well as being able to write drafts together. This makes it very easy to delegate/forward email threads and information to the relevant people.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

I really struggle with the interface in the app and some of the settings. I think that the way to open the settings is a bit counterintuitive and expected to find them in the dots on the right side of the screen rather than on clicking on my profile.
My biggest issue is that I can't figure out how to see the emails I actually sent and not what the latest answer on this thread is when I open the "sent" folder. When I had to send email to dozens of people at the same time it made it really complicated to find back my initial email and could only see the people who answered me.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive helps us avoid spending time on redirecting emails to the correct people which makes it easier to have control of the emails we receive.
It's also very convenient to forward an information to a group of people at the same time.

 ### 43. Missive is awesome for customer emails !

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John-Paul D. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

We use Missive to communicate with our customers.
Rather than moving emails into a helpdesk or CRM system, we keep the emails and converstation threads in Missive.
We can set labels which allow SLAs to be applied.
If anyone has a query, we can chat about the email with others within our team.
I really like the feature where someone can be typing up a response to an email and ask for assistance. What this means is that we can be collaborating on the response without sending emails back and forth.

The other big feature we use, is sharing links to conversations. This allows us to put a link within our Project Management system and link back to the conversation. By applying labels to conversations, we can automatically share the emails within that conversation thread with .anyone within our Missive environment, even if some people use Gmail and others use Microsoft 365

I don't use Outlook anymore as my email client.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

Searching doesn't by default look in Trash or Spam.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Shared customer communication.
2. Emails which come in directly to a consultant, can easily be shared with anyone.
3. Important emails can be easily co-authored.

 ### 44. Missive - The Backbone of Our Team Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yury S. | Chief Commercial Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

Sky-Drones is a UAS (drones) manufacturer, and developer of flight controllers, embedded AI and cloud-based ground control software. Since 2022, we have relied on Missive to manage our extensive communication with customers, vendors, and industry peers. Missive has been transformative in helping us organise both external correspondence and internal discussions.

The mail merge function is outstanding—it allows us to group emails by our own topics, regardless of how senders label their messages. This ensures every conversation is relevant to the actual business opportunity, not just the email subject line.

Internal conversations within the same email thread are another brilliant feature. Our team can discuss emails privately, and if a new message arrives, everyone involved is instantly updated. This reduces unnecessary back-and-forth and keeps everyone focused on action rather than communication.

The Teams feature is excellent for automatically sharing emails with the right people. This keeps our conversations organised and ensures emails are not confined to an individual’s mailbox folders— every relevant team member has access, regardless of who handled the message. It’s much easier to keep track of employees’ email threads and stay up to date with everything that’s happening.

Permission rights are also quite flexible—you can add a relevant person to a team, a specific conversation, or even just a tag. This means access can be tailored precisely to each individual’s role, which is very helpful for collaboration and confidentiality.

Having a real-time overview of all new communications across the company is a huge advantage—relevant staff are always in the loop, and nothing gets missed. The snooze function is also excellent for managing sales and project follow-ups.Sky-Drones is a UAS (drones) manufacturer, and developer of flight controllers, embedded AI and cloud-based ground control software. Since 2022, we have relied on Missive to manage our extensive communication with customers, vendors, and industry peers. Missive has been transformative in helping us organise both external correspondence and internal discussions.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

The search functionality can be a bit slow, as Missive relies on IMAP for searching emails. We would prefer if Missive searched through local message copies, which would make the process much faster.

Another drawback is how access is managed when team members change. When someone is removed from a team, they still retain access to all conversations that took place while they were a member. We then have to manually remove their access from each conversation individually. If someone is added to the wrong team by mistake, the same manual process is required to revoke access from each conversation.

However, these are minor issues compared to the overall benefits.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive reduces communication overhead and keeps everyone updated and aligned.

External conversations and their statuses are structured and accessible across the organisation. We can easily assign emails and related tasks to the right people, monitor progress, and manage each conversation efficiently.

The main advantage is significant time savings — Missive streamlines our workflow, allowing us to focus on what matters most.

 ### 45. Great for Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

It makes collaborating with team members easy! Particularly, I like the feature that allows you to tag and chat with a colleague about a matter directly beneath the email that needs to be discussed.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

Takes a little time to adjust when switching over from Gmail, but useful once you get the hang of it.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team collaboration, especially for remote workers becomes much more efficient because you don't need to jump on a call or arrange a meeting for every conversation. While other communication platforms exist, what's nice about Missive is that the entire history - the emails, mentions, and conversations with colleagues - appears in one place, so you really get to see the full story of how a matter unfolds.

 ### 46. Extremely friendly to busy companies and folks with complex thinking

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaysha M. | Sales and Customer Relationship Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

Missive has improved my efficiency. Often prior to missive I found email management overwhelming and stressful as I would get overstimulated trying to assess what I was seeing. Missive functions how I do, in categories. It was very easy to get used to and begin using in my workday. I use it daily! Customer support is always polite and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

I would like to see Missive show me a section of emails that I have sent on the sidebar. I would also like to see all chatrooms in the side bar without the need to pin them.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I no longer have to worry about knowing how to relay an email to my team, as Missive has made it extremely easy. I love the commenting feature as it has allowed me to express questions, comments, and concerns to my peers with little to no time.

 ### 47. Game-Changing Team Inbox and Effortless Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris W. | Operations Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

Missive's biggest strength is the team inbox, conversations and rules functions. The ability to collaborate on emails in a native chat platform embedded into the email is a huge game-changer.

Rules allow you to program repetitive actions based on variables of an email -- when combined with the above, it can take a lot of the stress out of managing inboxes.

Lastly, implementation is super easy!

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

We have minimal complaints with Missive - I guess I'd like to see native integrations with n8n and other software we use but that is not a large concern for us.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Inbox Management

 ### 48. The Best Collaboration in an email client

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wes F. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

I was looking for a email application for a long time that would allow for a calaborative environment as well as team in-boxes. Missive was the on\ly one I found that hit everything I wanted. From team in-boxes that multiple people can triage and assign the email to themselvesd or other team members to the chat function surrounding specific emails.

The Custoemr service has also been amazing everytime I need a little help they are there to guide me how to resolve the issue I have.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

The only downside i find in missive is that it does so many different things, gettign my staff to take a deep dive and utilize every feature is a challenge, but that is more a function of the staff wantign to use it as a basic client vs use all of the tools to make their job eaiser

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We receiove a lot of request for quotes, and we have multiple pople handling the requests out of a shared in-box. The CSR can assign the email to themselves or other tema members to work on, or take notes on the request that are visable to all the other team members. This has resolved the need of employees for emals back and forth.

 ### 49. Why Missive Is More A Must-Have Tool Than a Want Tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Facilities Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

I really enjoy using Missive because of its clean, intuitive design and the built-in chat feature that makes team communication effortless. The automation tools save time and keep workflows smooth, while the ability to tag emails—rather than bury them in folders. This makes organization faster and more flexible.

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

While Missive is an excellent tool overall, there are a few areas where I believe it could be improved for even greater ease of use. For example, setting up an out-of-office or vacation reply could be as intuitive as in Google’s emailsettings. Right now, having to create a “rule” for this feels less straightforward.

Additionally, the “Insert Response” feature could be more versatile. It would be incredibly useful to have options like pull-down menus for specific parts of an empty editable word within the response, as well as calendar date-pickers for empty spaces within the email for easier workflow, rather than having to manually type in dates and details each time. These small improvements could make day-to-day workflows even smoother and more efficient.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Missive solves several daily challenges for me by centralizing communication within the administration I am working in, making it easier to manage both emails and chats in one clean, well-designed interface. The ability to collaborate in real time with colleagues directly inside an email thread saves time and reduces the need for long back-and-forth chains.

Its tagging system replaces the need for rigid folder structures, letting me organize messages in a way that’s faster and more flexible. Automations also take repetitive tasks off my plate, ensuring I can focus on what actually matters instead of manual sorting and replying. Overall, Missive streamlines my workflow and keeps my inbox from becoming overwhelming.

 ### 50. Massively improved workflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jen B. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Missive?**

It just works. I love how organized my email is now! I was resistant since 2001 to archiving my emails, but now that I've done it, "inbox zero" is achievable. I use many Rules to help route my email to the right label or Team Inbox. I use Keeper for my accounting clients and it's so easy to label an emailed receipt or bill and turn it into a QuickBooks expense or bill by using the Missive Rules feature to forward the email to Keeper. I also added the Asana integration which makes it so easy to turn emails into tasks. Missive was really easy to set up and I was using it in no time. There are many support videos available, and I've also submitted 2 support requests where I got an immediate response and resolution (within a few business hours).

**What do you dislike about Missive?**

I wish the Asana integration allowed us to attach files to tasks from the email attachments.

**What problems is Missive solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to see all of my email accounts in one inbox. I am able to label emails with the type of action needed to resolve the issue. I am also able to create Asana tasks directly from my inbox. And, I am able to use Rules to forward accounting-related emails over to Keeper which is EXTREMELY helpful.
