Mise is cost intelligence software for independent restaurants, analyzing supplier receipts to track ingredient costs and calculate dish production costs. Users photograph receipts, and the system matches ingredients to menu items, updating food costs instantly. This eliminates manual spreadsheets and identifies profitable or margin-eroding dishes. Mise recalculates costs when supplier prices change, updating all affected dishes and alerting users to profitability shifts. Monthly reports provide insights into dish performance, cost changes, and strategies like portion adjustments, supplier switches, or recipe tweaks. The platform offers flexible setup, allowing users to input dishes and ingredients or opt for vendor-built menus for a one-time fee. Mise operates independently of point-of-sale systems and requires no long-term contracts.
