**What do you like best about Miro?**

The platform’s UI feels modern and easy to use. In my experience, it ran smoothly and consistently, without any noticeable slowdowns. Since we weren’t on a paid plan, we still got a lot of value from the free features. We mainly used it to map out marketing processes for documentation, and it worked really well for that purpose.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Nothing outside of the limitations of the number of editable boards on the free plan.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro helped my team and me document our internal processes, and we also used it as an internal wiki that we could refer to and refine as those processes changed.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I find Miro very easy to use for project planning and figuring out the scope of different phases. It's great for visualizing and communicating with executive leadership on different items. Private workspaces can be set up if needed. Lots of great pre built templates to choose from. I love how easily I can collaborate and conduct brainstorming sessions. Miro even has AI built into it to help consolidate and find themes from brainstorming sessions without having to go through line by line, which is super handy. I also love the open format, which helps me connect the dots for people in ways that work for my brain too.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

I find that it's a trickier tool for new users to learn. They're accidentally dragging things around without meaning to, and they don't even realize kind of flipping back and forth between the cursor and the hand tool. So I end up locking a lot of the sheets mainly just because I want them to view it, but I don't need them to edit it. Some of the functionality, I think, could be a little bit more intuitive or adjusted to help.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Miro for project planning and visualization. It's easy to put visuals together and share with different audiences. I can set up private workspaces and collaborate easily. Miro's AI helps consolidate and find themes from brainstorming sessions.

Miro is an amazing tool for coordinating workflows across large teams.  We started using Miro during COVID and have loved the intuitive UX design.  A really great product for our architecture firm.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

I can't think of anything that we dislike.  Keep the platform simple to use!

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an architecture firm, we frequently work on presentation deliverables across several firms/companies.  The ability to easily link outside information and mark-up progress images is super helpful.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I like that Miro is a collaborative tool we can use across the organization. Its features are straightforward and easy to pick up, even if you’re new to it. I also love the music!

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

What I find difficult to use is Miro’s endless, infinite canvas format. I usually don’t use a mouse with zoom-in and zoom-out features, so I have to adjust the zoom manually, and it can be hard to navigate at times. It would really help to have an option for pages, or boards within Miro, that allow some zooming in and out but don’t feel infinite.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I currently work at a remote company, and Miro provides the same kind of service a physical whiteboard used to offer in a real office. I think that’s a genuinely great service. It lets us collaborate as if we were all in the same room, and I also find the timer feature useful.

Fast editing, easy to use, and simple to share. I also like that it integrates with Teams (in visualization mode), including for sharing with people who don’t have a subscription.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

When I have a board open I woul like to see on my left not the other files but the other folders and then the files if I tap on the folder

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it mainly to track initial requirements from different stakeholders and to brainstorm potential solutions. We could do the same in Figma, but it’s a bit more complicated for non-designers.

I love that I can collaborate with my team on Miro. I have been able to work cross department with Miro - collaborate with development, marketing, product, UI/UX and aligned on timelines using Miro. I've used it to align on to-dos and visualize roadmap/timelines.

I think I am a perfectionist so I tend to spend a lot of time trying to perfect the visuals or try to make things really eye catching so I spend more time than I would like.

I find Miro intuitive and easy to understand, which makes it a valuable tool for my work. I appreciate its comprehensive set of features and its ability to integrate with other applications. The networking diagrams feature makes it easy to define road maps, transitioning from high-level design to detailed design. The initial setup was straightforward, easy, and hassle-free.

I find that the ADO integration doesn't work well for me, although there are connectors available.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I find Miro very useful for whiteboarding, design, and brainstorming, especially when coming up with plans. I used it in trading and supply at Shell for organizing tests and results. I like that it stores everything so I can move in and out easily and have the full history of my work and how it progresses. It's also very intuitive to use as a design and whiteboarding tool. The initial setup was really easy, and using the tools is very intuitive.

Can be a little complex when attempting to integrate with other tools.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

We’re a small marketing team of four, so it really helps us map out smaller projects we want to collaborate on, especially when we need to visualise ideas. its relatively easy to pick up and use with the team, and the board share option leaves little room for confusion. Most recently, we’ve been redesigning our website, and we use it as our main space to lay out and visualise the sitemap and wireframes.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

We’ve only used the free version, since the premium option feels quite pricey for what it provides. On the other hand, the free plan is extremely limited in terms of capabilities. For me personally, that combination puts me off the product: I’m not willing to pay the price for the team plan, but I also can’t do enough with the free plan to make it worthwhile.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re using Miro as our central place to collaborate and keep all the designs for our website redesign. Right now, we use it to build and share the sitemap and wireframes, gather in-context feedback, and stay aligned and on track throughout the process.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I really like Miro's Canvas feature - it's the best part, making everything more visual and allowing our clients to see things happening in real-time. Miro doesn't lag like other platforms, providing smooth functionality, which is crucial because the whiteboard software I've used in ClickUp and FigJam tends to lag. The drag-and-drop feature offers a very Canva-like experience, snapping things perfectly into the grid so I don't have to stress about alignment. The hide feature is also great, letting me show sections under construction to clients without confusion. Overall, Miro's fast and easy-to-use nature helps my team create things from scratch quickly.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

I think that Miro could improve by adding a Kanban feature. I'm not sure if it already exists, but it would be great to have a Kanban board. Also, the import functionality could be enhanced, especially when importing stuff from Figma and other software; it doesn't always get imported well. I don't like the PDF feature because it treats a PDF as a single document, requiring me to flip pages. When I want to showcase a multi-page PDF on a Canvas, I have to convert it into images and drag and drop each page individually, which is annoying. Additionally, Miro can improve its pricing. I feel like it's a little expensive compared to other platforms like Excel Draw or FigJam, which are cheaper. Another aspect is the templates feature; I feel the templates within Miro are of poor quality, and I had to create my templates from scratch, unlike other tools like Canva that provide amazing templates.

I use Miro for project management, displaying everything visually for competitive research and site audits. It solves the problem of keeping everything in one place, avoiding multiple apps, making it easier for clients to view updates in real-time.

I really like Miro's ability to support brainstorming and complex planning for branding and strategy. It's great how I can see both creative visuals and detailed strategic planning together, which helps in intertwining creative direction with strategy. The best part is having multiple ideas in a single project, allowing one board to cover all the work for a client. The ease of image embedding is a joy, and the initial setup was very easy and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Whilst the UI is clean, sometimes it can be hard to make it look aesthetic easily. Some sort of feature (if not already available, easier to find/use) that enables on-brand visualisations and tidying up would be helpful.

I use Miro for my diagrams, presentations, and reflections in my association. I like the ease of creating graphics and diagrams, as well as the planning module. I share one of my boards with my volunteers and freelance developers, which allows them to follow upcoming tasks, see and understand the functioning of each module, and work collaboratively. The initial installation of Miro was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

I don't see any negative points currently. Note that there might be a non-profit mode, but I haven't checked if it already exists.

I use Miro to lay out my ideas, manage my time, and present my ideas. I share my boards with my volunteers and freelancers so they can follow the tasks, understand the modules, the developments, and collaborate.

I like that there are a lot of easy ways to access logos for architecture diagrams and that the board is open spaced. It's not restrictive, meaning I can have multiple drafts going for a while, which means I don't have to commit to anything, making my speed in design creation much faster. The initial setup of Miro is quite easy to begin use, even though my team was already using it.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

UI can be a bit finicky. And not intuitive. Icons don't mean what you think they do. I can't think of any specific examples but things like selecting the entire board it's not very easy to tell. my team has run into issues of accidentally locking the board a few times

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro helps me visualize my thoughts, makes design connections, and assists my team with agile ceremonies. It allows me to have multiple drafts without commitment, speeding up design creation.

I find it intuitive to use, which makes setting it up and inviting others to join very easy. Miro also makes creating information architectures straightforward, and it's particularly useful for demonstrating how webpages on a website interconnect, similar to a sitemap.

I wish it was a bit more customizable, like Figma. I wish you could build components. I wish you could, for example, create a brand button style and easily put this style into various designs and create a UX design system.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I use Miro for creating boards and timelines to manage both office and personal work better. I like its flexibility and the interfaces, which make it easier for me to integrate docs and Excel files into boards. The ability to visualize an Excel file directly on a board is very helpful. I also appreciate how I can integrate Jira tasks, making my workflow smoother. Setting up Miro was very easy, and I have recommended it to my team of about 20 people.

More standard fonts in order to create more professional looking slides.

I really like the simplicity and ease of use of Miro. It was easy to fire up a board and get both technical and non-technical teams on board. Miro allows everyone to see the same info in the same space at the same time and work collaboratively rather than independently. Each time we've had a need, we were able to get the work done, and the initial setup was easy, with users able to make what they needed without any involvement from IT.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

I don't like that it defaults to editing. If I am looking at a diagram, I want to be able to move it first, not edit it right from the get-go. I have to hit undo constantly.

While I really enjoy using Miro, there are a few areas that could be improved. One challenge is performance when boards become large or have a lot of elements, it can start to lag, especially on lower-end devices. This sometimes interrupts the workflow and makes navigation less smooth. Another aspect is the learning curve for beginners. Although the interface is powerful, it can feel a bit overwhelming at first with so many features and tools available. A more guided onboarding experience would help new users get comfortable faster.

I think there's not enough colors to choose from. I mean, that's just a personal want of mine. I think if there was more customization for the colors of things, it would be great. That's mostly it.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I like the sticky notes feature and the drag-and-drop functionality in Miro. It's easy to use anything within the dashboard by just dragging and dropping everything, which helps me write down the things currently on my mind and figure out how to implement them. For our team, it also helps to properly organize tasks and clearly mention what everyone has to do. I also mainly use the table feature as it lets me easily visualize data, and the prototype feature gives us a clear visual of what we have to do and will do.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Sometimes it's too messy and hard to handle, especially for beginners. The whole workflow can be challenging.

Honestly, the greatest advantage I've found is that I don't have to install it on all of our laptops like we did with the previous tool. Once I share the link with each person they can go ahead and arrange the sticky notes as needed. And the fact that it saves automatically has also been helpful since my laptop battery is about to die.

Sometimes the connection arrows are very frustrating as they will snap to the wrong side of the box and I will have to go into an extreme level of detail (i.e. zoom in at 400%) in order to locate the tiny dot that connects the arrow to the box so that I can move it. At times the entire board becomes slow and unresponsive because there are too many large images/screenshots that were pasted onto the board.

My company uses this product to draw pictures of our servers, because prior to this method, we would email each other files back and forth and no one knew which file was the most current. Now, I simply create the flowchart on the board and if someone decides to delete it, that is their responsibility. There is a rich portfolio of functionalities which are intuitive to use even for users new to the software. As of the ease of implementation, it works from every browser, even without a license or any pre-configurations, which is a game-changer for our teams. On top, there are multiple integrations available that allow to export data even outside of Miro.

In my daily job, I have a paid license which is quite extensive - when I use it for personal purposes though, the free tier is quite limited, both in terms of boards and essential features.

Another problem I encountered is the performance with big boards with lots of content - it can be very slow to load and even lag when there are multiple users connected. This can really kill the momentum in a workshop.

I like how interactive it is. As a virtual training producer, my favorite feature is the timer which allows our students in their breakout rooms to have a sense of the time and the fact that i can change that from out end is great. I also like that so many people can work seamlessly together and there has never been any issues with performance. I also like that i can insert design elements and use the templates and the AI feature to enhance my boards.

I can't lock the boards locations without locking the whole board. So sometimes I want the boards to stay in place while students can edit and work on them but right now that is not possible so it makes it a bit hard at times because students end up moving boards round accidently.

The whole “infinite canvas” idea sounds gimmicky until you’re in the middle of a messy brainstorm and realize you’ve never once hit a wall. That’s probably my favorite part: I can dump everything out of my head without worrying about space or forcing a structure too early.

For remote workshops, it’s been a lifesaver. I run design sprints with teams across different time zones, and Miro handles the chaos pretty well. The sticky notes, voting, and timer features also mean I’m not constantly screen-sharing and pointing at things like an idiot. I use it on a weekly basis.

The integrations with Figma and Jira are decent—not perfect, but good enough that I’m not copy-pasting screenshots every five minutes. The Figma embed, in particular, is something I end up using almost weekly.

Where it starts to wobble is when boards get really large. Performance takes a hit, and sometimes collaborators (especially non-designers) get genuinely lost trying to navigate. I’ve had clients message me asking, “Wait, where am I on this thing?” So the learning curve isn’t zero, especially for people who aren’t used to spatial-thinking tools.

As for customer support, I honestly haven’t needed it much, which is probably the best thing you can say. Setup was straightforward—I had my team onboarded in maybe an afternoon.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Pricing is the first thing that comes to mind. The moment you actually need the features that make Miro worth using—unlimited boards, advanced integrations, proper guest access—you suddenly end up on a plan that feels steep, especially if you’re freelancing or managing a small team. The free tier also feels almost deliberately frustrating, like they want you to hit the ceiling as fast as possible.

Performance on complex boards is genuinely annoying. I have a few boards that have grown over months of project work, and they just… lag. Scrolling gets choppy, and loading takes longer than it should. On a decent MacBook, that really shouldn’t be happening.

The template library is a mixed bag. There are hundreds of templates, but honestly, a lot of them feel like filler. Finding something that’s actually useful can take longer than just building it from scratch, which kind of defeats the point.

One thing that low-key bothers me is that text editing in Miro is still surprisingly clunky. For a tool that designers use heavily, formatting text boxes feels like an afterthought. I shouldn’t have to fight alignment this much in 2024.

Guest/visitor permissions can also get confusing. I’ve had clients accidentally move things around when they were only supposed to be commenting. Setting up the right access levels isn’t always intuitive, and I’ve made mistakes with it more than once.

It’s not a dealbreaker by any means—I still use it constantly. But sometimes it feels like they’re focused on adding new features before fixing the fundamentals that are already there. Classic SaaS problem, honestly.

The biggest benefit for me is keeping distributed teams on the same page visually. I work with people in different locations, and before Miro there was a lot of “let me screenshare” or emailing Figma screenshots back and forth, which was a mess.

Now I can run a workshop or a design review asynchronously, and people can actually react to things, leave comments, and move stuff around. It often feels more collaborative than a Zoom call.

It’s also replaced a bunch of random tools for me. Whiteboards, basic flowcharts, brainstorming docs—those things all live in Miro now instead of being scattered across four different apps. It’s not a perfect consolidation, but it’s good enough that it’s simplified my workflow in a noticeable way.

The time savings during early project phases are real. Getting alignment from stakeholders used to take multiple rounds of back-and-forth. With a shared Miro board, that gets cut down because people can see the thinking laid out spatially, and it clicks faster for them.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I use Miro to interact with my peers, students, and others, making collaboration easy when we are solving a problem or brainstorming. I appreciate the ability to create a limitless board for solving problems, posting pictures, and taking notes. I find the unconstrained boards especially helpful as, in other collaborative tools, we often hit a limit in the space available, but in Miro, it is limitless—you can move up or down, left or right. The initial setup of Miro was very easy, taking less than a few minutes, and it was a big upgrade from using the inbuilt boards within platforms like Zoom.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

The zoom is a little quirky. If I have set a zoom, Miro should maintain it - but it does not in some cases.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Miro to solve problems with peers and students, as it offers a limitless board for collaboration, making it easy to post pictures and notes.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I like that Miro has an infinite board where you can upload images and save them in good quality. The ability to upload PDFs and export them as images is also very useful. I love that you can crop images and draw on them, using various pen settings and transparency options. I also like the choice of any color from the color wheel, which is not limited to just the suggested options. It's also important that links open with a preview, which makes understanding the context easier.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

I don't like that it's impossible to quickly save all references and photos for printing, like on A4 sheets. This requires copying and placing them in other programs like Illustrator or Photoshop to save in print-quality format. I also can't draw a straight line using Shift, like in Adobe programs. The 'Line' tool constantly disappears from the tools, and I can't pin it for quick access. Moreover, the tool snaps to elements, and I can't draw a free line in the middle of the image.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like that Miro offers a limitless canvas where I can upload images and links. This allows working with pictures and PDFs, turning them into notes and changing the background, transparency, and color.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I previously used Whimsical, but there were certain UX and UI elements that I really disliked. Miro addressed those issues perfectly for me. What stood out most were the shortcuts, navigation, and overall platform responsiveness, which I found much better than other software I had tried. Overall, Miro was very easy to use. I never needed to contact customer support or watch any tutorials to figure things out. From the moment I signed up, I was able to use it exactly as I intended. I now use it regularly for tasks ranging from brainstorming workflows visually to building visuals client in a way that makes data comprehensible.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

In my opinion, the AI feature still has room for improvement. Whenever I have used it, I often found that handling tasks manually produced better results. However, I do expect this aspect to get better with time, so it isn't a deal-breaker for me.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro addresses several key challenges I face in my work. As someone involved in Operations and Strategy, a significant part of my role is to understand and optimize various processes and plans. Miro simplifies this by allowing me to easily create both mind maps and process charts. Additionally, I often find Word and PowerPoint frustrating when it comes to making smart art diagrams. In these situations, I turn to Miro, which streamlines the process and makes it much more manageable.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I really like Miro because it's quite intuitive and easy to use. It makes the process of finding and creating documents straightforward. I appreciate the ability to create different spaces for writing and drawing, which is super handy. Another feature I enjoy is the automation aspect, especially in the process part where you connect different blocks. Instead of manually drawing every connection, I can easily click to connect to the next block, saving a lot of time. The option to easily comment and ping people is also great, as I get notifications directly in my email when someone comments on a change. This eliminates the need for constant checking and makes collaboration smooth.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

One thing that was quite difficult to do in Miro is creating templates. There's no option to minimize the template and just have it in the process. When working on onboarding processes, we create specific steps including emails. We'd like to draft a quick email so we know what we're using later on to iterate. It's problematic because you can't add anything that could easily extend and minimize on the process boards. We end up creating a document somewhere outside, which isn't the most convenient. It would be great if you could minimize a draft or template, putting it in as part of the process.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Miro for collaboration and process definition, making it easy to develop and iterate prototypes. It simplifies connecting blocks without manual effort and notifies me of comments or changes, streamlining communication and workflow.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

Miro is one of those tools that I genuinely enjoy using on a daily basis. It has become an essential part of both our structured team processes and more creative, informal collaboration moments.

I especially love using Miro for sprint review meetings. It makes it very easy to visualize progress, structure discussions, and keep everyone aligned. The flexibility of the board allows us to adapt it to different sprint formats and team needs without feeling constrained.

Miro is also my go-to tool for user flow creation. Drawing flows feels intuitive and fast, and it helps a lot when explaining ideas to stakeholders or collaborating closely with developers and other designers. Being able to iterate directly on the board together makes the process much more efficient and engaging.

For refinement meetings, Miro works extremely well as a shared thinking space. We can break down requirements, add notes, ask questions, and visually organize information in a way that supports clear discussions and better decision-making.

Beyond structured meetings, I also really enjoy using Miro just for fun with my design team. Whether it’s brainstorming, sketching ideas, or experimenting with concepts, it creates a relaxed and playful environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.

One of the strongest aspects of Miro for me is the layouts and templates. They are well-designed, visually clear, and very practical. The templates often give a great starting point and save time, while the layouts help keep boards organized even when they become complex.

Overall, Miro feels like a tool that truly understands how modern teams work. It supports collaboration, creativity, and structure all at the same time, which is why it’s something I always look forward to using.

Sometimes it's buggy when multiple people is addin photos or doing some advanced stuff together.
