**What do you like best about Miro?**

I use Miro primarily for brainstorming, planning, and visual collaboration. It helps me organize ideas in a structured yet flexible way, especially when working on projects or preparing concepts. I appreciate how Miro turns complex thinking into something visual and easy to understand. The real-time collaboration feature stands out, as being able to work with others on the same board simultaneously makes brainstorming and discussions feel much more interactive and productive. It almost feels like everyone is in the same room, even when working remotely. I also really like its flexibility. Whether I’m creating mind maps, flowcharts, or planning a project, Miro gives me the freedom to structure ideas the way I want without feeling restricted. The drag-and-drop interface and ready-made templates save a lot of time and make the whole process smooth. Overall, it makes organizing thoughts, collaborating, and planning not just efficient, but actually enjoyable.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

While I really enjoy using Miro, there are a few areas that could be improved. One challenge is performance when boards become large or have a lot of elements, it can start to lag, especially on lower-end devices. This sometimes interrupts the workflow and makes navigation less smooth. Another aspect is the learning curve for beginners. Although the interface is powerful, it can feel a bit overwhelming at first with so many features and tools available. A more guided onboarding experience would help new users get comfortable faster.

I like that Miro is so easy to use. It helps me to keep track of things in my projects, especially when I'm planning my workflow and dealing with specific problems in consults. The user-friendly aspect of Miro means I don't have to learn anything complicated, allowing me to focus more on my work without getting stuck on planning or regular tasks.

I think there's not enough colors to choose from. I mean, that's just a personal want of mine. I think if there was more customization for the colors of things, it would be great. That's mostly it.

What I like most about Miro is its intuitive and flexible interface, which makes it easy to create and organize ideas visually. The real-time collaboration features are especially useful for working with teams, helping my team brainstorm, give instant feedback, and make decisions faster. The wide range of templates offered by Miro helps speed up workflow design and system architecture planning. The initial setup was quite straightforward, and most of the team was able to adapt quickly using templates and built-in guides. **What do you like best about Miro?**

I like the sticky notes feature and the drag-and-drop functionality in Miro. It's easy to use anything within the dashboard by just dragging and dropping everything, which helps me write down the things currently on my mind and figure out how to implement them. For our team, it also helps to properly organize tasks and clearly mention what everyone has to do. I also mainly use the table feature as it lets me easily visualize data, and the prototype feature gives us a clear visual of what we have to do and will do.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Sometimes it's too messy and hard to handle, especially for beginners. The whole workflow can be challenging.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Miro to organize my research and ideas in one place, helping to visualize with tables, designs, and sticky notes. Its drag-and-drop feature helps me easily jot down ideas and organize tasks for my team.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

Honestly, the greatest advantage I've found is that I don't have to install it on all of our laptops like we did with the previous tool. Once I share the link with each person they can go ahead and arrange the sticky notes as needed. And the fact that it saves automatically has also been helpful since my laptop battery is about to die.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Sometimes the connection arrows are very frustrating as they will snap to the wrong side of the box and I will have to go into an extreme level of detail (i.e. zoom in at 400%) in order to locate the tiny dot that connects the arrow to the box so that I can move it. At times the entire board becomes slow and unresponsive because there are too many large images/screenshots that were pasted onto the board.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company uses this product to draw pictures of our servers, because prior to this method, we would email each other files back and forth and no one knew which file was the most current. Now, I simply create the flowchart on the board and if someone decides to delete it, that is their responsibility. Also, this allows us to avoid having team members walk to my desk to ask about the operation of the systems we design.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

There is a rich portfolio of functionalities which are intuitive to use even for users new to the software. As of the ease of implementation, it works from every browser, even without a license or any pre-configurations, which is a game-changer for our teams. On top, there are multiple integrations available that allow to export data even outside of Miro.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

In my daily job, I have a paid license which is quite extensive - when I use it for personal purposes though, the free tier is quite limited, both in terms of boards and essential features.

Another problem I encountered is the performance with big boards with lots of content - it can be very slow to load and even lag when there are multiple users connected. This can really kill the momentum in a workshop.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro is my go-to tool I use daily to facilitate complex workflows between colleagues from different company areas, especially when we are connecting remotely from various locations. It allows me to co-create and collaborate on key deliverables of my daily work: product roadmaps, value streams, planning workshops, Objectives and Key Results...

It's very easy to use, but it can also accomplish complex tasks that align with product development/BPM methodologies, which is highly important for being relevant to all customers.

I don't really have too much negative to say about Miro aside from the fact that it feels like a generic app, but I don't blame Miro for that - Silicon Valley has just moved to a model where all software starts to feel cold and commoditized.

Strategy development, product management/development and business process modelling, mapping and optimization is generally how I've used Miro in the past and I don't see that changing.

Sometimes the sharing permissions can be complicated, and for a small team, can add up in cost, but it's worth trying out different kinds of accounts to see what fits.

I use Miro for planning upcoming work and collaborating with the team during brainstorming sessions. I like how Miro allows for a visual representation of different work pieces that can be easily moved around, fitting into different boxes like weeks, which really helps in planning. It's great that the team can provide live written feedback anonymously during brainstorming sessions, and the inclusion of a timer helps keep things on schedule. The ability to visually represent ideas allows for smoother discussions. I enjoy working live with the team, as everyone can update and edit at the same time. Setting up a board is fairly easy, and sharing it with a password simplifies the process by avoiding the need to configure everyone's permissions.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

I don't like the ability to lock editing and hide cursors during presentation mode. When clicking into a note, it switches to edit mode too easily. There should be a third toggle to lock it so you can fully focus on presenting.

Having more built-in tools for organizing large boards or guiding new users would improve the experience.

I find Miro very easy to use and intuitive, which makes it particularly advantageous for my clients. It serves as an effective tool for workshops, is intuitively operable, and allows workshops to be prepared in a self-explanatory way, for example with sticky stacks and graphics. Additionally, I am very satisfied that the initial setup of Miro was very simple.

I really like using Miro for my schoolwork because it lets us pin up our work easily and view it all in real time. The ability to co-work is fantastic, as I can see what everyone else is working on, which helps me notice when to make changes to my own work. The variety of tools Miro offers was a big reason for switching from Google Docs, and I found the initial setup to be quite simple.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

I don't like the type of files Miro supports, since sometimes important files are too big. It would be better having a large MB limit.

Miro allows us to pin up work easily and view it in real time, helping me see what others are working on and decide when to make changes.

I really liked how it makes it easy to communicate with colleagues and create things together. The available tools are also quite diverse and simple to use, which makes it a very effective tool for collaboration.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

In the beginning, they used to offer more innovative tools, but now it feels like they’re just trying to force AI on us. I don’t find that very nice, because I’m not completely comfortable using AI for collaboration when I’m working in Miro.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I like how interactive it is. As a virtual training producer, my favorite feature is the timer which allows our students in their breakout rooms to have a sense of the time and the fact that i can change that from out end is great. I also like that so many people can work seamlessly together and there has never been any issues with performance. I also like that i can insert design elements and use the templates and the AI feature to enhance my boards.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

I can't lock the boards locations without locking the whole board. So sometimes I want the boards to stay in place while students can edit and work on them but right now that is not possible so it makes it a bit hard at times because students end up moving boards round accidently.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping virtual trainings, engagement sessions and other external and internal meetings become more engaging. We used to use Google jamboards and after they discontinued, we needed to pivot and Miro has been a great replacement which is better in a lot of ways.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

The whole “infinite canvas” idea sounds gimmicky until you’re in the middle of a messy brainstorm and realize you’ve never once hit a wall. That’s probably my favorite part: I can dump everything out of my head without worrying about space or forcing a structure too early.

For remote workshops, it’s been a lifesaver. I run design sprints with teams across different time zones, and Miro handles the chaos pretty well. The sticky notes, voting, and timer features also mean I’m not constantly screen-sharing and pointing at things like an idiot. I use it on a weekly basis.

The integrations with Figma and Jira are decent—not perfect, but good enough that I’m not copy-pasting screenshots every five minutes. The Figma embed, in particular, is something I end up using almost weekly.

Where it starts to wobble is when boards get really large. Performance takes a hit, and sometimes collaborators (especially non-designers) get genuinely lost trying to navigate. I’ve had clients message me asking, “Wait, where am I on this thing?” So the learning curve isn’t zero, especially for people who aren’t used to spatial-thinking tools.

As for customer support, I honestly haven’t needed it much, which is probably the best thing you can say. Setup was straightforward—I had my team onboarded in maybe an afternoon.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Pricing is the first thing that comes to mind. The moment you actually need the features that make Miro worth using—unlimited boards, advanced integrations, proper guest access—you suddenly end up on a plan that feels steep, especially if you’re freelancing or managing a small team. The free tier also feels almost deliberately frustrating, like they want you to hit the ceiling as fast as possible.

Performance on complex boards is genuinely annoying. I have a few boards that have grown over months of project work, and they just… lag. Scrolling gets choppy, and loading takes longer than it should. On a decent MacBook, that really shouldn’t be happening.

The template library is a mixed bag. There are hundreds of templates, but honestly, a lot of them feel like filler. Finding something that’s actually useful can take longer than just building it from scratch, which kind of defeats the point.

One thing that low-key bothers me is that text editing in Miro is still surprisingly clunky. For a tool that designers use heavily, formatting text boxes feels like an afterthought. I shouldn’t have to fight alignment this much in 2024.

I love that you can crop images and draw on them, using various pen settings and transparency options. I also like the choice of any color from the color wheel, which is not limited to just the suggested options. It's also important that links open with a preview, which makes understanding the context easier.

I don't like that it's impossible to quickly save all references and photos for printing, like on A4 sheets. This requires copying and placing them in other programs like Illustrator or Photoshop to save in print-quality format. I also can't draw a straight line using Shift, like in Adobe programs. The 'Line' tool constantly disappears from the tools, and I can't pin it for quick access. Moreover, the tool snaps to elements, and I can't draw a free line in the middle of the image.

I previously used Whimsical, but there were certain UX and UI elements that I really disliked. Miro addressed those issues perfectly for me. What stood out most were the shortcuts, navigation, and overall platform responsiveness, which I found much better than other software I had tried. Overall, Miro was very easy to use. I never needed to contact customer support or watch any tutorials to figure things out. From the moment I signed up, I was able to use it exactly as I intended. Miro has several benefits that I both utilise or have engaged with. First I utilise miro to plan out my quarters work. Currently, I work in an agile way of working where our quarters are broken down into 2 week sprints. THis requires a lot of pre planning sessions where we use Miro to plot our initiatives and how we will achieve them. I likely use Miro at least weekly however have often used it daily. Generally Miro is easy to implement into our processes. Since using Miro it has gone through several updaes. Initially I was not a fan of the system however it  has greatly improved and has become a useful tool in my arsenal. I have not had to experience using the customer support so cannot comment on this, however this in itself would be a testement to Miro's reliability. The software is also easy to integrate via the useful AI tools. I have used this to plot out flow charts whcih has saved time and eliminated the tedious work of plotting out the arrows and boxes. This has enabled me to focus my time on refining the content and not have to worry so much on the formatting.

My main dislike about miro is some of the mouse inputs. Having to use the right hand button rather the initiutive left to click and drag takes some time to readjust too. This does not majorly disprute my work however is an annoyance as this goes against most other conventional input controls.

I find Miro very simple to use, mainly for copying and pasting documents and images from my portfolio. It's easy for me to make changes and serves as a visual notebook for edits. More importantly, my tutors can easily write and edit on my Miro board, which is highly collaborative. The initial setup was very easy too.

If text was able to fit to the size of the boxes I put it into automatically, rather than me having to resize it if it doesn't fit. Similarly, it would be nice to scale sticky notes by length or width individually, currently, it only scales as a whole.

The UI is clutter free, I dont seeing too many options here and there, it hampers my work. The ability of having everything on a single platform, from tables to flows to docs. I never used Kanban, I didnt get the purpose of that. Miro is more like a planning and mapping tool for me. Kanban I have used in Notion and other apps. Other than that Slides is something which I dont want personally, I dont use it anyways.

Being able to visualize a project is the most useful benefit of Miro to me. I can see the overall structure and then zoom in to read and refine the details. It has all the benefits of a cork board with Post-It notes and string without the limits or inconvenience of making a physical diagram. I also appreciate that multiple team members can edit the board simultaneously without creating conflicting versions; it allows us to brainstorm as a group.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

While the limitless space of the visual workspace is a point in favor of Miro, it can be difficult to find something specific, especially as the content grows. It would also be nice to have layers supported.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company is in a stage of growth and reorganization, and this can make it difficult to keep track of who is on which team, which responsibilities belong to which team, and how the teams interact withe ach other. Using Miro to visualize the team structure and interactions has made it much easier for everyone to get on the same page. For example, different colors can represent the teams, different shapes can can be used for roles within those teams, and different line styles between groups can differentiate the types of information flow. It is so much easier to grasp the company's organizational structure when we can see it all laid out on the board.

The toolbar is on the side, where I can automatically drag items to the board, allowing me to start without needing prior instructions. Just open a whiteboard and, from my interpretation and creativity, develop the desired plans. I find it very good because it is an open tool, where I can explore in the way I feel most comfortable. The initial setup was also very easy.

I find Miro to be really good at bridging the gap for hybrid teams, whether we're benchmarking live or adding sticky notes. The context never gets lost because the board is a living document. I also appreciate that it's famous for templates, like agile mind mapping and user journey mapping. This helps us standardize our workflow using their proven frameworks, making the board a single source of truth from the initial messy idea to the final road map. Plus, it was pretty easy to set up; we just watched a couple of YouTube videos, and it was pretty much done.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Miro is an infinite canvas, but computers aren't infinite. Large boards with high-resolution images, widgets, and over 30 live users cause massive lag and browser crashes. They need a low poly mode for the canvas to maintain visual quality during heavy collaboration while keeping the speed up.

I cannot easily share the board with users who do not have a licence. The option to share a password protected link to non-licensed users has not worked recently and this has negatively impacted some sessions.
