As a developer, I find Miro useful for designing system flows, architecture discussions, and project planning. It helps convert complex ideas into clear visual diagrams that everyone can understand. **What do you like best about Miro?**

What I love most is how easily I can quickly map out my ideas and collaborate with others. I can also start my action plan with pre-created templates, which saves a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

It may have been an account management error on my part, but when I created a group project with people with email addresses from the same domain, boards created by others also appeared in my board menu. This limited the number of boards I could create without a subscription. Unfortunately, I couldn't delete them. The next thing was scaling photos or objects. I can't transform photos freely, only enlarge and zoom them.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro has already allowed me to organize my projects in a structured way many times, and above all, easily share my boards with others. This has allowed me to use the boards as, f.e. mood boards and even incorporate them into my thesis work.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I like that the information is available in the app; having everything in one place makes navigation much easier. I also love being able to gather information in real time, since it provides quick, effective guidance. Overall, it gives the end user greater clarity on the details, and I really appreciated how easy it was to use and the information it provided.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Deleting notifications can be a bit tricky. I’d also like the option to disable notifications for specific meetings, rather than having to manage them one by one. Overall, I get the sense there are more features available that I could be using, but they aren’t always easy to find or take advantage of.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The reminders help me stay on top of things, and having the calendar so easily accessible is incredibly useful. It has simplified communication for networking, and I really appreciate the up-to-date information it provides. Overall, it helps me plan each day more smoothly. It’s simple to use, yet still feels feature-rich.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I love how Miro turns architecture that usually exists only in my head into something clients can actually engage with. Mapping the front end against the services on a single board helps clients understand exactly where each component gets its data and allows them to raise concerns early on. Miro's ability to hold the history of a board is invaluable because when questions arise months later about why decisions were made, the reasoning and rejected alternatives are readily available. The diagramming feature is particularly helpful for explaining technical decisions to people who don't write code, making complex data flows understandable. This leads to better alignment among stakeholders, as we can explore different approaches together and settle on a shared understanding before moving forward.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

The AI assistant is the one element keeping me from a full endorsement. When I want to sketch out a workflow ahead of a session, it would be genuinely useful if it could produce a first draft from a short brief. In practice it tends to misread the instruction and return something I would rather rebuild from scratch, so I do the work myself and treat the feature as a curiosity. The main improvement would be having it read the brief properly and produce a rough first draft I can correct, rather than something unrelated I have to discard, and it would help if it understood the conventions of a technical diagram well enough to place components and connections sensibly instead of arranging boxes without regard to what flows where.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro helps me turn architectural ideas into something clients can question early on, fostering stakeholder feedback. It simplifies explaining technical decisions, keeps historical context for decisions, and maps front ends with backend services, helping prevent costly mistakes during builds.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

What I liked best about Miro was how well it supported creative planning and real-time collaboration.

We used it heavily for brainstorming, storyboarding, and team “jam sessions,” especially when working through campaign ideas, content strategy, or bigger marketing initiatives. It made it easy for everyone to contribute visually, which led to more productive and engaging discussions compared to traditional docs or slides.

The flexibility of the boards was a big advantage—you can map out ideas, organize thoughts, and iterate quickly without feeling constrained. It’s especially useful for teams that think visually or need a space to collaborate freely.

Overall, it was a great tool for turning rough ideas into structured plans with input from the entire team.

At times, the interface could feel a bit clunky—especially when boards became large or more complex.

It was also easy to get lost in the space. With so much freedom to build and expand, navigation could become a challenge, particularly when multiple people were contributing and the board wasn’t tightly organized.

The biggest benefit was alignment. Everyone could contribute in the same space, see ideas evolve live, and stay engaged regardless of location. It made collaboration feel more dynamic and productive compared to traditional remote workflows.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I love how Miro helps me turn complex ideas into clear, simple visuals. I use it all the time to map out system integrations, and the sticky notes are perfect for breaking down complicated solutions into a format clients can actually follow. It’s intuitive and fast, and it honestly makes my job easier whenever I need to explain the “heavy” stuff in a way that makes sense.

To use Miro with our team, we need to have a license, but that isn’t a big deal. We’ve also found that Miro still makes it easy to use, even without a license.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to explain our solution and roadmap to our client, and they are not technical people. Using Miro, it was very easy to walk them through the plan and explain even technical details in a clear way, which helped us move forward with our project.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

The big screen (infinite) for me has been what I have enjoyed the most. I can put anything on it; wireframes, flowcharts, sticky notes, mood boards etc. There is some noise today, however, I am able to create a full flow chart of my new product in one sitting -- that is something. I find the template library to be really good as well. As far as collaboration goes, it allows us to collaborate on the same board at the same time, which is great because we can all see who is working on the board and avoid working in someone else’s space. Miro integrates into many third party tools such as JIRA and Slack.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

As soon as you have too much stuff on the board it slows down. And when you have multiple screens open within Miro it takes forever. If you try to prototype using Miro’s built-in features it won’t allow you to create a true prototype. One minor gripe but serious none-the-less is when you have more than 4 users on at the same time the labels showing who made changes to the board become very cluttered and difficult to read/see. Some of the better features require you to upgrade to their paid version and before you know it those upgrades add up faster than expected.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest issue miro solves is keeping everyone working together without having to send files back and forth via email and we used to brainstorm in one tool, create wireframes in another and receive feedback through Slack threaded conversations that made no sense. Miro keeps the brainstorming and creation process in one place. When you’re in a meeting for brainstorming ideas you’re not constantly switching tabs between different programs. Simply share the URL to your board and anyone can take a look without needing an account or learning how to use Miro.

The platform is intuitive for attendees, and I really appreciate the registration management features. It’s the most comprehensive platform I’ve used so far, letting me manage a large number of events while also offering helpful feedback mechanisms. The user interface is straightforward, and overall it’s an extremely efficient platform that simplifies every aspect of the process.

I don’t like how difficult it is to modify the formatting; I’d like to see more flexibility in the design. The code needs improvement across the platform as well, because sometimes it’s hard to find the information you’re looking for.

The infinite canvas is my go-to space for brainstorming, as it allows ideas to stretch without limits, and the team gets comfortable with it quickly. Miro integrates cleanly with tools like Jira and HubSpot, so follow-ups sync as trackable items, and nothing gets stale. The AI features are a strong addition, turning messy notes into clean journey maps fast. It's also a dependable onboarding aid, where knowledge-transfer sessions remain visual and documented.

I'm genuinely a fan, but the zoom can get twitchy and disorienting when I'm jumping around one of our bigger, denser boards, and it doesn't always land where I expect it to. The AI helper can miss the mark as well; hand it a prompt and it'll sometimes build out the wrong flow entirely, mapping a process nothing like what I asked for. What I'd really like is for it to sketch a quick outline first, or come back with a couple of clarifying questions, rather than confidently generating a whole layout I then have to pull apart and redo. Beyond steadying the zoom so it lands predictably on dense boards and having the AI confirm a quick outline before it builds, I'd love smarter navigation for big boards, like a clearer minimap or the ability to jump straight to a named section, plus an AI that learns our customer success terminology so it stops misreading account and campaign flows I ask it to map.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

What I like most about Miro is how flexible and intuitive it feels. You can drag and drop sticky notes, shapes, or diagrams wherever you need them, and the infinite canvas means you never run out of space, so there's no more cramming everything into a single slide or document. The real-time collaboration is a close second, as seeing teammates' cursors move live and jumping into the same board feels natural, even when we're all in different time zones. A huge library of templates also saves a ton of time when kicking off a new project or workshop. Additionally, Miro works really well with a lot of the tools my team already uses, connecting to over 250 apps through its marketplace, so you can bring in tasks, documents, or notifications without leaving your board. The initial setup was pretty straightforward for my team. We signed up on the free plan, created our first workspace, and started inviting people in just a few minutes. Most of the team picked it up quickly because the drag-and-drop interface feels familiar.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

The main thing that doesn't work as well is performance on really large or complex boards. When a board gets really big with lots of elements, it can start to lag or feel slower to navigate, especially if you're on a weaker device or connection. Boards can also get cluttered pretty quickly if the doesn't stay on top of organizing them, which can make it harder to find what you need. The learning curve for some of the more advanced features can feel a bit steep at first.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

Miro has helped us bring frontend and backend planning into the same workspace. When we’re discussing a new feature, it lets us quickly map out the user flow and capture UI interactions without having to switch between different tools. That makes it easier to spot gaps early on, especially when you’re coordinating with designers, testers, and a lot of other people. I also find it helpful for revisiting previous discussions, because having the visuals and notes together helps me understand the context behind decisions much faster than reading through meeting minutes.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

The only thing I’d like to see is a few more customization options for organizing workspaces. It doesn’t affect my productivity, but having a bit more control over how the boards are arranged would definitely make the overall experience better. Aside from that, the experience has been amazing.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Miro has made it much easier to turn feature ideas into something the whole team can discuss and improve together. Rather than exchanging long messages or emails, we can capture everything on a shared board and keep refining it as the conversation moves forward. For me personally, that means I have been able to use more of my time building features and less time trying to clarify requirements.

**What do you like best about Miro?**

As a UX Designer, Miro is just perfect for site mapping, user flows and sometimes even wireframing. One of the best features is the possibility of sharing the board with colleagues as developers or Product Owners and having a quick feedback without too much stress.

I guess how it's connected with other apps like Figma, I would love for them to cooperate better

Use the templates, are super useful and time saving!

I usually use it to analyze websites or mobile Apps. Is pretty useful as well in an Agile project, as a remote team, retrospectives or brainstorming sessions are usually on Miro. Even User Research sometimes is via Miro!

**What do you like best about Miro?**

I use Miro for whiteboard discussions and presentations with customers. I find it unique because it lets me get feedback on my presentations or discussions and documents it anonymously, helping me improve my next session. I like its scalability to collaborate with other tools like Asana, Teams, and Outlook, which are used in my office. I feel more connected using Miro compared to Microsoft PowerPoint. The initial setup was easier for me, and it's great that Miro is used as a global app in my organization. I encouraged my peers to try it.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Sometimes it's slowness or dragging option to move things in the board. Options to roll over the hands and go to other corner of whiteboard give a little trouble.

I appreciate how Miro keeps every language version's stage legible in one view, which is crucial for mapping a translation project from intake through revision to delivery. On a multi-market rollout, the shared board helped us align our linguists, reviewers, and the print handoff without a flurry of status emails. I find it gives me a tidy space to gather terminology queries and reference material before briefing a freelancer, which is key to keeping my coordination steady. I love that I have a single visual board where every project's stage stays legible at a glance, enabling me to coordinate linguists and reviewers across parallel jobs efficiently. I like how it smooths team communication and eases planning by keeping ideas, tasks, and notes on one board where everything is visible. The AI tools are incredibly useful for quickly shaping loose notes, and the integrations save me from switching between applications, making the cost well worth it. I partner Miro with Slack, which allows me to share a board or specific frame directly into the channel already being used for project discussions, and with Google Drive, facilitating reference file and deliverable sharing on the board without searching elsewhere. The initial setup was quite easy, and we didn't face any bigger issues.

The strength of large boards is also their weakness. Once one grows dense, moving around it slows, and finding the right corner takes patience. A few of the more capable features sit behind higher tiers, less than ideal for a lean team such as ours. And when several people work a single board at once, things can unravel without a clear structure in place. When several of us work a board at once the structure I set tends to drift, with notes landing in the wrong zone or sections getting shifted, so what would help most is being able to lock a finished section, see a clearer version history of who changed what, and set finer permissions that let reviewers comment without disturbing the underlying layout.

I map project stages on Miro, keeping everything legible and centrally located, improving coordination without endless status emails. It smooths communication, eases planning, and integrates with my other tools, saving time and keeping everything in one place.

I really like the stickies in Miro because they are simple yet great. Stickies are easy to use, and you can write down a lot of things pretty fast. I enjoy collaborating with my colleagues in Miro. It's also handy that our customers use Miro with us and share boards. The fact that the stickies have different colors and labels helps a lot. The AI features seem nice, even though they aren't included in our pricing. Setting up Miro was pretty easy for me.

A customer shared a board with me, but the board is nowhere to be found in my personal collection and I can also not search for it, which is very annoying. I use Miro for group work. What I like the most is that we can all write, edit, and draw ideas at the same time. I like being able to draw freehand, paste images, many images, and paste and edit boxes. For the projects, each person pastes the images they want, we compare them, choose which ones are better, and delete the ones that aren't. We can edit, draw over them, lower their opacity, remove the background, adjust the scale, among other things. We also brainstorm, write ideas freehand, copy and duplicate. We use it together with Meet. We chose Miro because you could also draw freehand like in Jamboard. The initial setup was easy and intuitive.

I would like it to be possible to create scenes, because when there is a lot of content, it is not possible to find a specific piece of information. If scenes could be created, it could make it easier to go directly to the information being sought.

I’ve been using Miro with my teams for years, and I genuinely love it. It’s one of those tools that makes work feel easier and a bit more fun. There’s a lot you can do with it, and it stays flexible depending on what your team needs.

Where it really stands out for me is team building and retros. Miro retros are  my favorite, they feel more engaging and more visual, and people actually participate instead of just going through the motions. You can start with templates and use them as inspiration, or build your own from scratch.

Over the years, I’ve seen really great results from using it: better conversations, more alignment, and a stronger team connection overall. At this point, it’s a staple in how I work with teams.

I haven’t found anything I don’t like about it. It serves my purpose perfectly for sharing with teams.

The only reason I'm not giving Miro a flawless rating is that its artificial intelligence bot isn't up to the mark. When I need to create an entire workflow before a meeting, it would be great if the AI could handle some of that work for me. Unfortunately, more often than not it doesn't understand the instructions and ends up producing something else.

It has been a great tool for mapping complex workflows into clear visual diagrams, making them much easier to follow and producing a properly structured version of each process. It has helped us ensure everyone is on the same page.

Easy to use, consistently updated with new features, and backed by a great UX. With the new MCP integration, it’s straightforward to build agents and improve my work performance even further.

With the AI features, its easy to make the work done and get proper insights, specially with the Miro Flows and Sidekicks.

We have proper documentation not only for the product but also for the AI and MCP features as well which makes the product useful and very reliable for quick onboarding.

Abou the performance it's very stable with a few outages, which is very good for a SaaS product.

The pricing model could be better since today I think it's too expensive, the free version is also too limited.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

The pricing model could be better, especially around the AI features. I subscribed to the first tier because I wanted to use more Flows, but then I realized that “unlimited” Flows are only available on the Business tier, which is far above my budget for a single user.

There weren’t clear specifications about this, and it made me feel a bit uncomfortable after subscribing at a higher price.

The free tier is quite limited, restricting users to only 3 editable boards, which pushes teams to paid plans quickly. Performance can degrade noticeably on very large or complex boards with many elements. The mobile experience, while functional, doesn't match the desktop version in terms of usability. Also, for new users the infinite canvas can feel disorienting at first — navigation and zooming take some getting used to.

Miro has become the central workspace for our distributed team's collaborative sessions. It replaced disconnected tools like physical whiteboards, presentation software, and scattered note-taking apps. We now run all our agile ceremonies — sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement — directly in Miro, keeping everything documented and accessible asynchronously. This has dramatically improved team alignment, reduced meeting overhead, and made our design and planning processes more visual and inclusive for all stakeholders.

I think the biggest advantage I see with Miro is that anybody can be on it. For example, I’ve got kids working off Chrome Books, phones, and some old computer they’re using at home and none of them have ever called me and said “I don’t have access.” The variety of ways to arrange the boards has been helpful as well; regardless of whether we need a timeline or a discussion area, most times there’s going to be something that will fit without me having to put it together myself.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

Too many choices. I know that seems counterintuitive, but when you first open up the app and want to do something simple, you’ll end up spending way too much time deciding which layout/template/format to choose from. Petty complaint but the boards can become messy very quickly if your students have any creativity at all, and there is little-to-no means of controlling the mess.

**What problems is Miro solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generally speaking, I wanted one central location where a large group (my class) could add their thoughts, projects, videos, etc. without everything getting turned into an e-mail chain or Google Doc that only 3-4 people were editing.

I like that Miro pulls all the scattered threads of production planning into one place. It gives me a single space to think through and structure the moving parts of a production, which is a real boon when the season's logistics pile up. The templates are a genuine starting point and sometimes nudge me toward ways of laying out a schedule that I hadn't considered. I appreciate how the interactive cards let me map dependencies between the artistic and technical teams, and the infinite canvas keeps everything in one view rather than scattered. The real-time collaboration is great because it lets the whole team build a board together and watch the run-up to a show take shape live. The initial setup was quite easy, and we didn't face any bigger issues.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

I would welcome more keyboard shortcuts, and the font handling could use polishing. My main gripe is that when I am zoomed out and add a sticky note, there is no auto-zoom onto what I am typing, so the text sits out of sight. Beyond shortcuts and fonts, I would add smarter alignment guides for snapping elements into place, a quicker way to split a crowded board into sections without manual dragging, and a more polished presentation mode for walking the team through a production plan directly in Miro.

Allows collaboration across the org unlike other tools such as Visio. Its UI is intuitive for most part and it has options to link to co-pilot amongst others. Unless you make a board too heavy, generally there are no performance glitches and they organise free training from time to time wherein you can learn and also get support. Its AI is immature though. It performs very poorly on even basic tasks so, I wouldn't rely on it.

Its download option is considered unsafe by my org IT. Its AI sucks. When you share a board with some colleague, it doesn't tell you if they have a license or not.

The infinite canvas offers an unparalleled canvas for visual brainstorming and rich architectural mapping, without any physical boundaries. Real time collaboration is spot on, with dozens of people from off-site working together without any real lag. Lots of readily available templates considerably speed up the initial workshop configuration and construction planning process.

When the boards are extremely large, it's quite frustrating to navigate with the platform is a bit buggy and requires a high amount of processing power, which makes it prone to crashing browser tabs frequently. The permission management system is clunky, and sometimes allowing access to sensitive Board information to external visitors by accident.

The platform was able to replace physical whiteboards and successfully cover the communication gap between distributed engineering teams and a product design department. It overcomes the administrative chaos of stopping workshop results in a static photo and having to hand type them in manually. I am a designer, and even tho I am communication manager now, I am still a visual person, therefore to use Miro for me is helpful. 
I can dump all my thoghts on the board and then organize everything.
Even with big boards, I can still work fine and see my boards on tablet and phone. I could improve the phone performance a bit. But I use it everyday.

**What do you dislike about Miro?**

The integration between desktop and phone could be more accurate. It takes too long to open board on the phone, and it is not the easiest to work on.

Brainstorming and organising projects with my social media departament. It is easier to check the content and aprove all in one place.
