It makes applications easy to distribute and publish. This makes applications easy to run and understand. It is easy to set it up but it's difficult to understand its functions an all. What do you dislike about Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise)?

Difficult to remote manage/monitor and the network is complex due to internal port mapping between containers. It has a bit of hard learning, and it takes some time to become familiar with the tooling and syntax. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Some of the changes to the Dockerfile structure are confusing and incompatible with older versions, and challenging teams but the configuration drifts are solved because we all have a common "language" for sharing configurations regardless of the tools used to build them. What do you like best about Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise)?

We like that the technical support is so quick to answer questions.

The implementations' versatility has helped us continue with projects that we thought would be more complex.

We can deploy MKE anywhere to meet established schedules, regardless of requirements.

Also, accessing projects and assigning worker nodes remotely has been extremely helpful since we implemented teleworking.

Node management in almost any type of container is simply seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise)?

Deploying Mirantis is quite tricky. It took me three days to fully configure the software until the execution was perfect for us.

Because of this, it is a disadvantage that MKE requires technical knowledge to run. It is not necessarily a problem considering the nature of the software, but it could be simplified. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise):

After deployment, MKE is an easy-to-use platform, so I would always give it a try.

I would always recommend contacting technical support whenever you have any questions, especially in the first few days or weeks of use. This will avoid delays in deployment and help you get familiar with the platform.

On a side note, Mirantis can deploy 20 containers simultaneously, which is very convenient to speed up the work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (formerly Docker Enterprise) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our primary purpose fur running MKE is to develop enterprise-scale applications in a secure environment. We use the program to manage and deploy worker and customer nodes in one place. In this way, the work is easier to monitor.

On the other hand, we use Mirantis to control the software we develop. In this case, they are mainly very experimental programs that require a completely controlled and supervised environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
