What do you like best about MinuteBox?

MinuteBox is so easy to use and I was able to integrate it into my existing practice and workflow extremely easily. It has opened up a new revenue stream for my practice and allows me to do work for clients more efficiently and easily than ever. Since my practice relocated to being fully remote, the secure cloud that MinuteBox offers has been a lifesaver. Now I can see all my client information from my home office and easily and securely grant access to clients. Best of all when there are transactional deals, CRA audits or we need to send information to the bank on behalf of a client, MinuteBox makes this extremely easy.

What do you dislike about MinuteBox?

Nothing so far. The support team has got me up and running really quickly and even helped me get all my precedents in order. I've now added some of my own precedents myself using the visual editor, which is way easier than the "coding" required in other apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering MinuteBox:

Definitely make sure to look around the market at the other options. You will quickly see that while other options might seem comparable, only MinuteBox could meet our security requirements and was actually easy to use. We tried another similar service as well and it just did not live up to its promises. Document assembly was clunky, hard to use and kept making mistakes. Once we got ourselves setup with MinuteBox, producing documents with the visual editor was a breeze and they came out correctly every time. Another thing that was really important to use was data portability. We had another provider that we were looking at but when we asked them if they would include data portability in case we ever decided to leave into their contract they said no, which was a big red flag. What problems is MinuteBox solving and how is that benefiting you?

Creating a new revenue stream for my law firm, which allows me to offer new services to existing clients and also reach a new client base.

Also, securely accessing client data from the cloud while my team works remotely. Sharing with clients and other counsel as required.

"Easy and modern entity management"

What do you like best about MinuteBox?

MinuteBox is extremely easy to use but doesn't lack any power.

Unlike our old entity management software, MinuteBox is intuitive, friendly and I can access everything from home, which I couldn't do with our old provider.

We primarily use MinuteBox for subsidiary management, cap tables and corporate governance.

With MinuteBox, our internal compliance team knows when subsidiary deadlines are upcoming, the ownership across various entities and helps us manage our ESOPs effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MinuteBox?

There's nothing I don't like about the platform. The team at MinuteBox has been extremely responsive to our feedback and needs, even implementing a critical feature that we needed in under a week. Make sure to do a deep dive on security with any other vendors you are considering. Many competitors claimed to have strict security but failed a deep security review. Only MinuteBox met our security standards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MinuteBox solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a growing company, our internal corporate governance and entity management needs are growing as well. We rely on external counsel for many matters, like our annual filings, but we also do many aspects of entity management and governance in house. While some platforms exist to manage cap tables, MinuteBox addressed that and our governance needs like director and shareholders ledgers, minute book management and subsidiary management. "So simple and user friendly!"

What do you like best about MinuteBox?

MinuteBox is a truly fantastic entity management platform. We have been using it to manage all of our legal entities and subsidiaries and find it extremely easy to use. Having entity management in the cloud is great and MinuteBox was the only solution that achieved our cloud security requirements.

Advanced features like entity ownership charts and cap tables that automatically get created and can easily be downloaded are super helpful. I also really love just how fast the program is. For example, searching for existing entities is super fast so it no longer takes me a ton of time to find information buried across various entities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MinuteBox?

Nothing so far. We had one issue early on that we resolved quickly by support that had to do with an account configuration. It was quickly fixed. Our account was assigned a customer success representative and he has been excellent to work with! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering MinuteBox:

Make sure to ask about migrating from a previous system, even if that system is physical storage or a low-tech database as their team is really helpful in assisting with migration. Also, after extensive security review we determined that MinuteBox was the only platform that met our requirements so make sure to put any other providers through an in depth security review. What problems is MinuteBox solving and how is that benefiting you?

MinuteBox solves our core entity management needs including tracking various entities, governance and filing dates, ownership and capital structure and various other filing deadlines. The document automation features are like nothing we have seen before and really help in quickly producing the documents we need more efficiently. MinuteBox has also helped on team collaboration since we don't have to pay for additional licenses for each user and we can all use one centralized cloud, which really helps in working together. "Finally somewhere for all my minute books."

What do you like best about MinuteBox?

Before we started using MinuteBox, my office was filled with minute books across all of the entities I was managing. We also kept volumes and volumes of minute books in our minute book room and in storage, it was a huge pain. We tried using a few different databases to store and track legal entities in our practice, it was a complete mess. Finally, we now have one centralized place to manage and keep all of our corporate records. This alone is so much to like but with minutebox it gets even better. Remote viewing of all documents in the cloud is fast and easy and I can share any files I need with my colleagues. I was able to backup and secure so many binders that were just collecting dust and taking up space. Now all I need to decide is what to do with all these extra binders I no longer need. I love the way mintuebox handles security, since I can easily login using two factor authentication or my even more secure hardware key. What do you dislike about MinuteBox?

So far there’s just nothing to dislike about minutebox. I’ve had two support calls with them and one email. In all cases someone from their team got back to me almost instantly. For the phone, I love that I didn’t even need to wait on hold, despite that I didn’t even call during business hours. When I emailed them a quick question, Steven from their team got back to me in under 15 minutes. He offered to go on a Zoom right away, but he also sent me a help article about my specific issue and even sent me a screen recording showing me exactly how to solve the problem, now that’s great support. I also appreciate that the team is always open for training on different aspects of minutebox whenever I need. From the basics, which I picked up on my own to advanced legal transactions, there seems to be training for everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MinuteBox solving and how is that benefiting you?

The software solves so many problems we have been facing, it is great to finally have one platform that takes care of all the issues we were having with our minute books.

Using MinuteBox we added all of the entities we manage across different clients. Corporate governance had always been a pain in my corporate law practice. With one centralized place to store our data and records we’ve eliminated the constant back and forth emails and solved never knowing what data was authoritative and up to date. Most importantly it has solved one of the key aspects of a corporate law practice, keeping my clients happy. With the very easy to use client portal my clients can now finally have secure access to their corporate records. They do not need to call me or my assistant and I no longer have to worry about unbillable time that I cannot recover. Recently, it has solved the problem of working in a remote and distributed environment, allowing me and my team to stay collaborative and connected even when outside the office.
