What do you like best about Minitab Statistical Software?

My students find it easy to create charts and graphs that are much better than Excel, and each version of the software gets better and more user-friendly (Assistant, Graoh Builder, etc). Especially with explaining what the analysis means. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Minitab Support articles are generally very thorough, walking you through more than how to perform the action in Minitab. You are given data considerations you need, optimal parameters, and how to read the output. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Minitab Statistical Software?

Minitab does have some confusing menus, and there are a lot of submenus or options that take time to find.

Also, in my career I’ve had many unfamiliar engineers adjust settings they don’t fully understand because they are marked as options, but not explained to the extent they need to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Minitab Statistical Software?

Powerful statistical analysis software. Easy to use. Powerful data visualization tool. It is easy to create graphs to demonstrate improvements or process changes. I also like how easy is to slice up your data by stratification factors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Minitab Statistical Software?

Data manipulation is not self intuitive. May need to work in a spreadsheet first and then send it over to Minitab. Also, the interface for Mac is not the same as for Windows users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Minitab Statistical Software?

It has capabilities to do most any type of statistical analysis relatively well. It is a broad package that offers a multitude of diffeent tools, and thus a very practical and powerful tool for a practicing statistician, engineer, or others engaged in data analysis and statistical application. What do you dislike about Minitab Statistical Software?

I wish you could highlight the analysis in the Navigator that you want to look at, and then get back to the Dialogue Box that produced that analysis. Often there are subtle differences in analysis depending on options chosen, and without access to the affiliated dialogue box it is difficult (if possible) to determine the options/setup that was selected for that analytical output. I would also like to see some of the data management tools for the spreadsheet be a bit more "Excel-ish". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Minitab Statistical Software?

I like the fact that I can process and statistically analyze large amounts of data in half the time that took me with Excel or other equivalent SW programs. This not only increases my productivity but also reduces the burden and time needed to cross-check complex calculations and work with organized & tailored workflows. All that is needed with Minitab is a research-oriented and analytical mind, a love for complex DOEs, quality outcomes, and a passion for optimizing processes!

I am interested in knowing more about the Minitab Predictive analysis model, with specific examples from the medical device area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Minitab Statistical Software?

Expensive training programs that may not be budget friendly. Without training, existing Minitab tools cannot be utilized! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplifying statistical analysis"

I had three courses during this time about introduction to statistics, product control quality and other about regression models and it was a user friendly interface.
