There have been a number of updates to the system over time that have moved it to the cloud and added extra functionality around shareing and collaboration with a single document. They can also do more than just traditional mindmpas now which means the system is not as narrow in focus as it was. But at it's base level it's an excellent way to visualise and capture discussions and brainstorming. It's very easy to use and there is no implementation required so you just get a licence and away you go. It can be used in every meeting or ideation session where these kind of abstract ideas linked together need to be captured . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about MindManager? It is still somewhat of a luxury item. It is doing something that can be achieved with pen and paper and while it is not very expensive it could still be out of reach finacially for some smaller companies. The ability to have multiple people work on the same document is limited to a subscription model which is more expensive than the stand alone application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is MindManager solving and how is that benefiting you? It is improving efficiency and reducing waste. No instead of needing flip charts and markers and having to collate and take photos after to share it via email with large files sizes across dozens of people you can do it digitally and have multiple people change, comment and update without wasting paper or time emailing . The Products really tops with its unique idea to transform the ideas to reality . Usually one who has the idea needs a solution to display it and make others to understand . The reason for the 7 rating from my side is that some of the product's functionalities can be easily achieved using Microsoft products as you get them along with your windows os purchase. Building a flowchart with this product is a delight to use; it helps to create a flowchart with ideas, organise the same, and tag them with associated inputs. I really enjoyed using MindManager for a few months. The mind mapping and project management tool had an intuitive and easy-to-use interface, and it had a wide range of features that made it very versatile. My favorite feature was the ability to create visually appealing mind maps that helped me brainstorm and organize my ideas. I also found the tool to be great for creating project plans and timelines, as it allowed me to easily see all of the tasks and milestones in a given project. Another bonus was that MindManager integrated seamlessly with other software, such as Microsoft Office and Google Drive, which made it easy to collaborate with team members and share project updates. As a user, I found that MindManager was incredibly useful in resolving a variety of issues that arose in relation to the administration of projects and the organization of information. The mind mapping and project planning aspects of the application enabled me to visualize and arrange my thoughts and activities in a way that made it simpler for me to keep track of the big picture and not get off track. In addition, the interface with other software (like Microsoft Office and Google Drive, for example) made it simpler for me to interact with other members of my team and share the latest project developments. In general, I discovered that utilizing MindManager made me more effective with my use of time and resources. This was due to the fact that the program offered a crystal clear overview of the activities and milestones I needed to complete, which enabled me to prioritize my work and maintain my concentration. Anyone who was interested in finding a tool to assist with ideation, organization, and project management should go no further than MindManager. I give it my highest recommendation. The deep dive into concepts and the resulting visual grasp of their subtleties and potential are both aided by MindManager. In comparison to other mind mapping programs I've used over the years, this one has superior functionality and visual representations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about MindManager? My experience with MindManager spans several years. A decade, at the very least. Despite gradual improvements over time, it has never fully leaped cloud computing. There is a significant chasm between the established norm of sharing files on the cloud and the confusing new cloud interface, which doesn't work well with existing practices, and has less scholarly backing. It has been incredibly frustrating, especially given the price tag, to speak with customer service and have them confess that product is still in development. The more recent addition of project management is a jumbled mess, in my opinion. It has great potential for improvement. There's no need for me to keep upgrading (other than a shiny new interface). I like the intuitive interface, fonts, and design elements that make the map easy to read. Exporting maps to other formats is easy. There are a few things I don't like about the extended model options that no longer work (EOL) and the old branching structure option Continues to increase the video training library which is cumbersome for analysts. MindManager helps to deep dive into concepts and creates a visual understanding of nuances and possibilities of those concepts. Mindmapping features and visual representations are second to none I have tried over the years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about MindManager? I have been using MindManager for years. Maybe almost a decade. And although it has evolved over the course of that time, it has never really cracked the transition to cloud. A real disconnect between prior cloud file sharing and a new cloud interface that makes little sense, lacks synergy with prior cloud file sharing and accompanied with little literature in support. Speaking with customer support some time ago, they admitted this was still a work in progress though with the amount of money this costs, it has been very disappointing. The newer project management feature is a mess in my opinion. It could be so much better. I won't upgrade anymore as there is no additional benefit (other than a shiny new interface). Insane level of integration with the MS office. Yeah, the MS part is great, although in the core functional (i.e. actual mindmapping MM starts to lose competition to much less pricier alternatives like Xmind and Mindmeister) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is MindManager solving and how is that benefiting you? I've been using Mindmanager since, I believe, version 4.0. It really got me into mind mapping which I'm really grateful for. I still consider MM a #1 solution for teams that work in the Microsoft environment (including teams and ms project).
