Their API is stable with minimal breaking changes, and their documentation is clear. The documentation is very easy to follow, API is easy to integrate to my app and their support staff is very helpful, fast and knowledgeable. My use cases have not utilized the "learning" aspect of Mindee, meaning when you "train" Mindee for a certain form or document. Instead I have exposed Mindee for several different kind of invoices, receipts ( a long tail of variations ) and I must say it is surprisingly accurate - despite a mix of input quality, pdfs, blurry images etc - and accuracy seems to increase over time. I have started to retire own custom code used to capture the things that might be special, as Mindee gets the essentials accurate and quickly, rendering my custom code not being economically efficent. The fact that you in the responses get back the coordinates for where in the indata the properties have been discovered, allows for a good user experience as well. Cant think of anything at all related to Mindee. This area of capturing data through OCR is by definition frustrating, full of negative surprises etc which has less to do with the actors in this space. All documents that are digitized for data extraction have been a real success because information can be extracted without having to do it manually, which reduces the risk of errors.
