What do you like best about MileIQ?

Ease of use is very high on this product - it is pretty much figure-it out quickly by usage. Having used other products that measure your mileage, this one takes the cake. By using the familiar "swipe right" or "swipe left", you can either do personal or business. If you want to get more granular, you can select from a preset list of business or personal uses. By adding more uses, you can really get useful information for taxes, business billing, or personal tax planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MileIQ?

For whatever reason, it sometimes does not capture all drives if you do not have it up and running. By having it up and running (as an application), which you shouldn't have to do) all the time, it does limit the battery life. Adding new additional usages under the business and personal is sometimes baffling as you must use the desktop version for adding sometimes and then other times you can do it on the mobile version. What problems is MileIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

"MileIQ is worth the investment"

What do you like best about MileIQ?

MileIQ runs in the background, automatically tracking my miles. After a drive, I get a notification to classify as either personal or business expense. When it comes time to prepare my mileage report, printing is easy and the reports are clear. I even get a notification on my Apple watch and can classify there. What do you dislike about MileIQ?

There are very few downsides to using MileIQ. The yearly subscription price is fair considering the amount of money I save on my tax returns. I suppose some people might not like to be constantly tracked, but you can always manually close the app and open it again when you need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MileIQ?

MileIQ has some features that makes my life WAY easier- like the ability to save drives (aka going to certain locations) as a certain category (meetings, errands, commute, etc). You can also add parking fees and tolls to drives! I can't imagine trying to track drives on a Google Sheet like I used to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MileIQ?

I believe I have the lower paid option and not every drive is tracked. You have to set up times for tracking, so last minute work drives may not record if you forget to open the app and select "start drive detection." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering MileIQ:

You can track all drives or turn on/off drive detection. This feature is great if you plan to take time off and know you won't be taking any work drives. Keep in mind if you have tolls (like I have bridge tolls), you'll need to enter that and parking fees separately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MileIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

I lost 4 whole months of tracking. I made sure the locations was ON at all times and the app quit tracking. Now I have to try to remember the last 4 months of drives between personal and business 7 days a week. What bullsh!t. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MileIQ?

Its interface is straightforward to use and export a yearly driving summary. It sends the report in a very easy to read format and you can track how many of your miles are for personal and business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MileIQ?

You cannot auto classify all drives as a business drive. Therefore I need to spend hours swiping through all of my drive histories, and it can take some time. Also, you need to kee p the app running at all times in the background - if you switch off the app or shut your phone down it will no longer track your miles. This can be problematic when closing out all apps on iphone and you will be prompted to restart the app, slightly annoying but not too big of a deal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering MileIQ:

I havent found an easier way to track my miles. This solution is affordable, easy to use and effective. I would shop around a bit - the price is around $50 a year which is reasonable considering how much it can help. There may be other options but I would argue the simplicity of the interface may not be as good as MileIQ. It was recommended to me by my last broker and I have used the application only on mobile since then. I'd recommend it to anyone who relies on mileage tracking but doesnt have the time or capacity to mess with tracking miles on your own. I would like it if it were a little cheaper but definitely worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is MileIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

No complete auto classification but it does group similar drives and round trips. I use it to export mileage for tax purposes. I'd hate to track my miles the old fashioned way. That I always have my phone on me which is where the app is loaded so it tracks every single drive. It'd be nice if it only tracked from where my laptop traveled with me instead for better accuracy and less to remove Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MileIQ?

Most helpful is not having to manually write down mileage for work. Easily able to switch between personal and business drives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MileIQ?

Obviously no-one want to pay for an app and this one limits the drives you can log (40) in a month. Which I hardly reach. The other thing is I sometimes forget to turn it off and it records drives which count toward that total. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
