Sometimes I'll post a fake "feed" just to make it the most recent -- and it STILL doesn't come up first. The "invite" function seems hard to use too: If I don't use the phrases MN suggests, my invites sometimes don't go through. After three years, though, I've pretty much figured out how to work with this. **What problems is Mighty Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Connecting with far-flung alumni in an asynchronous platform -- then getting together biweekly over Zoom. Mighty Networks has been EVERYTHING I wanted it to be... **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Kelley T. | Founder, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2025 **What do you like best about Mighty Networks?** My business centers around mental health and wellness coaching for women. Mighty Networks (MN) provides so many resources for a business owner/community manager to be successful. Within a week of hearing Gina Bianchini on the People Magic podcast, attending the MN Summit in January, and exploring the platform during my 14-day free trial, I knew I had found the right home for my community and wellness coaching practice. I was so convinced, I abandoned Kajabi in favor of MN two days before my company launch. While it has delayed my launch to rebuild what originally took me months to build out (and about $1,200 of investment), I haven't looked back. Here’s what has stood out: 

 1) MN offers a seamless onboarding experience that allows hosts to launch and scale with ease. I enrolled in a 14-day challenge to launch my community that was offered during the summit. Similar programs are offered to new members with a 14-day free trial. Their free coaching and support with identifying the core purpose of your community are so helpful. As you build, there are opportunities to connect with other creators who are building their own thing. Great for solving problems, posting questions, asking for feedback, etc.

ALSO - it is SO EASY to implement and create your community. Seriously. If you have a pretty clear idea of what you want, you'll be up and running very quickly. 2) MN support is outstanding. I get a response from support within hours (not days), and my issues have all been solved well within 24 hours. That is, of course, when I need to contact support. MN recently rolled out People Magic GPT, a custom GPT built on ChatGPT that has helped me to solve every problem or question I’ve had about the platform’s capabilities. It evens makes recommendations based on how to best use the platform, content ideas for my niche (and how to integrate the ideas with their tech), and how to create a marketing strategy around my community. It’s pretty impressive. As a ChatGPT addict who has created my own GPT for my community, props to the MN team for creating this resource. 3) Online course and coaching program delivery is outstanding on this platform. The coaching program delivery on the Kajabi platform was truly terrible. I don't intend to bash Kajabi here, but I truly don't know how Kajabi can tout itself as a platform for coaches with its lack of customization. I couldn't even change my fonts, add links, or change the color of my background in the coaching delivery area (my content was was displaying on a royal blue background, and could not be changed. I wrote countless messages to the support team and posted feedback about this issue; never heard back from anyone on my real concerns with this. Honestly, royal blue?) Online course delivery was not terrible in Kajabi, but MN literally runs circles around Kajabi, in terms of content delivery.

Especially when you layer on the community integration. Which leads me to... 4) The community features are amazing. This is absolutely where MN shines. As I learned from the People Magic podcast, businesses like mine that are “winning” are focusing on community, and connecting members to each other. It didn’t take long for me to abandon my previous business plan to shift to a community-centric coaching business. The ability to network with other members, the AI tools that highlight similarities between members, and tagging/automation tools are all outstanding. MN has also recently rolled out some fun gamification tools to recognize and reward member engagement. I’m all about it. 

 5) MN team members seem to care. They use the platform to build their own communities (the leader of my 14-day challenge frequently shared examples from her own community, which I was impressed with). They are responsive. They take feedback. They really seem to be “listening” to the user to develop the best platform possible. It is very evident they are investing in their tech and features.

It's clear that they value their customer. This was not the case on my last platform. I could go on. As you can see, I’m a fan. They are winning at community building, and they clearly walk their talk, by truly listening to community feedback. **What do you dislike about Mighty Networks?** There’s a few challenges I have have with MN, but they were solvable... It was challenging to figure out how to set up my "public" spaces (ie public-facing blog posts, and events that are open to the "public"). Doing this required a "public" network with paid "spaces" that subscribers would purchase. This also meant that my paid plans are offered differently that how I preferred. I also learned that having a public network on MN means that your member's profiles can be indexed by Google. So, I needed to re-think how I built my network several times over. These are things I learned the hard way. After trying (HARD) to bring all of the components I wanted under one domain, hosted on MN, I discovered that I had to re-build a quick and dirty website (to host my "about" and blog pages) and then LINK to a subdomain where my Mighty Network resides. It's all good. MN isn't trying to be an all-in-one platform, and that is probably best. Kajabi, my previous platform, seemed to want to do it all: website hosting, course hosting, coaching program delivery, funnels, community. But they don't do it all well. MN EXCELS as a community platform. I would also prefer to have a little more control over the design of my "plan" landing pages, which I prefer to link to in my funnels (rather than directing opt ins to my network landing page). Customization is a bit limited for "plan" landing pages. It's just a personal preference to link directly to my plans, to create a frictionless flow for my ad campaigns. I also don't love the limits on how I can format "interactive" posts in my community (ie multiple choice, hot/cold, percentage response posts). For example, there are limits on the number of characters my copy can contain with these options. I can't crate a hard return, format text, or use emojis in these posts. I'm actually going to write support about these limitations, and I don't doubt they are already addressing these interactive post limitations. I chose to subscribe to Kit (previously ConvertKit), which integrates seamlessly with MN for my landing pages, email sequences, and funnels. It syncs my tags and subscribers, and I've had ZERO issues. It's an added cost, but it works seamlessly. **What problems is Mighty Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's just sooooo easy to use, to build my content, my courses, my coaching delivery. It's easy. Very low learning curve. It took me months and lots of money (a $555 template, learning curve, subscription fees) to build out my Kajabi platform.
