We have DaLLE, we have Stable Diffusion 1.5, 2.1 etc but there is a general consensus that Midjourney is the best as of now. Their advances in prompt engineering, the way to fine-tune styles etc are unmatched (despite the locked in discord scenario) I guess SDXL might change the game, but that remains to be seen. There is a bit of a learning curve, but there are so many free resources available now that a quick Google search will get you all that you need. The biggest issue is that all images are output at 72dpi - fine for web but you need to do some cleanup to get a print-ready 300dpi quality image.
