"Hotkeys Speed Up Workflow, Great Compatibility with AutoCAD Files"
5/5
What do you like best about MicroStation?

I like the hot button keys that make it very fast and quick to switch between drafting tools and make updates. The compatibility with other drawing file types like AutoCAD make it easier to provide edits for clients in a format they prefer. The reference attachment feature is also very nice to have where you can have a main base file and reference it into multiple drawings rather than recreating it and if anything changes in the base file, it will automatically get updated in the drawings wherever it is referenced. What do you dislike about MicroStation?

It can be difficult sometimes understanding how certain tools or preference work, especially when it comes to dimension and scaling of units. Also the disassociation tool when breaking up continuous dimension lines should have an option to break it into singular lines. Also sometimes it is difficult to use the angle dimension when you want the arrows inside or outside the dimension no matter what and have the text either rotated horizontally or vertically no matter the angle at which the dimension text leader is being pulled out at from the angle. "Powerful CAD Solution for Complex Projects and Professional Workflows"
4/5
What do you like best about MicroStation?

MicroStation is a powerful and reliable CAD platform, especially for civil engineering and infrastructure projects. Its ability to handle large, complex drawings with high precision is one of its biggest strengths. The software offers robust drafting and modeling tools, excellent reference file handling, and strong compatibility with industry standards. Once familiar with the interface, workflows become efficient, making it well suited for professional and large-scale design environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MicroStation?

The main drawback of MicroStation is its learning curve, particularly for users coming from other CAD platforms. The interface and workflows can feel unintuitive at first, requiring significant training and hands-on experience. Performance can occasionally slow down with very large files, and some features feel overly complex for simpler tasks. Additionally, customization and setup may require advanced knowledge to fully optimize the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best and easy CADD Drafting Software "
5/5
What do you like best about MicroStation?

Out of my 8 hours of daily work I use this software for atleast 6 hours a day. Its a very portable easy to learn drafting software when compare to any other CADD softwares I used before. I started CADD by autoCAD first, The best part of the software is its settings, one click of setting for scale, for annotations, for reference attachments, level managements, its compatibility with other softwares import or exporting is easy. Its automatically saves everytime you work on it unlike other CADD drafting software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MicroStation?

I have to think hard to write any dislikes of this Drafting software. ONly one thing I dont like it is sometimes attached references turn red on you means its detached by itself and I have to reattach them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
