It’s a cloud suite of programs that you can access from anywhere you have an internet connection. You can also install the desktop programs on computers you use frequently, and with one license you can install the desktop Office apps on up to five devices. If you’re signed into 365, you can still use the Office programs right in the browser and open Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other files in a browser window.

It also includes tools for managing your network devices and Windows. Lately they’ve been adding a lot of AI integration, and that’s been the most useful newer addition for me, since my document workflows can live inside Copilot AI.
