### 41. Microsoft 365

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hardik B. | L2 Support Engineer, Consumer Goods, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft 365?**

One issue I’ve encountered is the limited flexibility when attempting to move a created folder under the Inbox or Sent folders; it does not function as accurately as I would expect. Irrespective of which default folder a new folder is created under, it should be flexible enough to be moved anywhere within the folder hierarchy. Additionally, while navigating between folders in Outlook Web, the page often keeps refreshing repeatedly until I manually refresh the page. On several occasions, I have had to close the window and reopen it to resolve the issue. This problem is not only present in Outlook Web but also occurs in Teams and Excel, as I work with these applications on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft 365?**

One of the features of O365 i appreciate the most is the seamless synchronization of emails across multiple devices, including the web interface, Outlook, and mobile applications. I primarily use Outlook, Teams, and Excel. The email notifications are exceptionally efficient across all platforms, ensuring I receive real time updates on incoming emails and scheduled meetings, which significantly helps me to prevent missing any important communications throughout the day.

Excel’s advanced functions have notably improved my productivity and enabled me to work more effectively. I’ve implemented automation to categorize email alerts and notify the relevant Teams groups accordingly. Additionally, the email scheduling feature is highly useful; if I schedule an email from my laptop and later realize an adjustment is needed, I can easily make changes from any synced device, including my mobile phone. This flexibility saves time, reduces my effort.

**What problems is Microsoft 365 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft 365 primarily serves as a repository for our compliance data shared by customers. It enables me to work from any location, which is particularly beneficial when I am traveling. SharePoint facilitates real-time working on Excel files that are securely stored and accessible from anywhere. This function not only saves me time but also ensures that my work remains up-to-date and organized.

 ### 42. Too Big to Listen? A Critical Review of Microsoft 365

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pam K. | Sysadmin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft 365?**

The most helpful feature in Microsoft 365 is the ability to generate a table of contents automatically in Word documents. It streamlines formatting for longer reports and ensures consistency. However, this is a common feature across most modern word processors, so while it’s appreciated, it’s not a standout differentiator.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft 365?**

Microsoft 365 continues to degrade the user experience in favor of change for the sake of change. The “New” Outlook strips away essential features businesses rely on daily. Excel’s aggressive autofill suggestions often hinder more than help, requiring constant correction. Word struggles with something as basic as copy and paste—formatting inconsistencies are routine. On top of that, the licensing and invoicing process is overly complex and frustrating to manage.

**What problems is Microsoft 365 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft 365 primarily serves as a platform for creating documents required for compliance and reading data provided by customers. It enables basic productivity tasks such as drafting reports, processing forms, and opening spreadsheets—functions that are essential for day-to-day operations, but not uniquely solved by this platform.

 ### 43. A comprehensive office and productivity suite

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nir L. | VP R&D, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft 365?**

As someone who is used to working with the competition, I find the 365 suite to be a decent alternative. The new web UI with integrated copilot chat is appealing and easy to use. Copilot itself is a decent alternative to similar GenAI solutions, and the overall experience is that the Office and other apps work together as a single cohesive solution.

The main office tools are the best in the category, and you get Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook as part of the Microsoft 365 bundle. They work well together in the browser (better in Edge), and the experience for the most part is simple and fluent. Teams is also a great addition to the 365 experience, and mostly is simple and easy to use with a large range of built-in features and external add-ons.

In short, the Microsoft 365 solution is a strong, comprehensive suite that fills most of the modern business needs.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft 365?**

Personally, I find Outlook to be slower and less intuitive than the competition, with a bulkier feel to it; Co-pilot is doing an okay job compared to the other available solutions (namely ChatGPT and Claude), even though it is supposed to be based on the same models as ChatGPT. It also produces less than optimal results when used inside the other Office tools.

My personal experience is that Microsoft 365 suite is on a par with the major competition from Google, but with heavier system requirements, slower response time, and cluttered look and feel. However, it really is a matter of personal preferences.

**What problems is Microsoft 365 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Microsoft 365 is our primary solution for office work and productivty, including video conferenceing, chat, spreadsheets, email, document editing, and AI access.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft 365?**

There are too many unrelated functions, and the licensing plan is becoming too expensive, especially for those who do not use 100% of the available features.
