  ### 2. Another dumped Microsoft product that could be improved

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

It has a friendly UI, and it is very simple and straightforward to use. Anyone can quickly learn and use it. I really like the presentation mode in Sway. They also offer users templates do start with instead of creating things from scratch. I recommend that you start there. You can also create a company template for other users to take advantage of. Microsoft definitely improved the product since it was rolled out, but it's been improving very, very slowly. There's so much that they can be improved.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

It's missing many essential features, and Microsoft is not willing to spend any time improving this product. I see how it could compete with PowerPoint, but this should be a true Newsletter platform to create and customize email newsletters. I used it a few times to share knowledge base articles but soon after stopped using it. Our users didn't understand Sway and probably still don't.

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are creating unique and different documentations for end users. We used it as we rolled out Office 365 to the organizations by creating user documentation on how to use some products. You can include videos, images, and text. Users can play the content and it will loop through the content that you have. You can also use it on a large screen to present.

  ### 3. Feels like a new version of Prezi

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abby T. | Assistant Nurse Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

We currently use Sway to distribute educational presentations to our staff. It is great for being able to distribute a link and have staff view at their convenience, as well as review as needed. The ability to add in links and videos is great. In some ways this feels like a new version of the software Prezi. I also like that you can see how many people have viewed the Sway, as well as how long they spend viewing the Sway.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

The design of Sway is not particularly intuitive, especially for colleagues less comfortable getting to know new software. When using it the first few times, it was not obvious how to utilize the application. However it does have benefits once you have a better understanding of the application and how to use the features.

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problems are that some colleagues do not particularly enjoy learning this way, and we are mainly using for education boosts at this time. However, I do see the benefits for using Sway as staff become more comfortable with it.

  ### 4. Does the job for quick presentations on the go

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anna H. | Director of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

Drag and drop features are easy to use. For quick turn presentations, they are seamless

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

Cloud based only. Its not a bad thing, but when you are in and out of service areas on the go it may be difficult. Sometimes it glitches and acts as if the presentation is not there or you don't have access even when you created it.

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Sway for training modules. Its helpful to keep the reader engaged for our beginning stages of training.

  ### 5. Microsoft Sway—A pretty good tool to use for presenting

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

I liked that you can use Microsoft sway along with other Microsoft tools. For the most part, I liked the product. It is very user friendly. I can add the data I need and when finished, my presentation doesn't look immature--looks very professional.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

I feel that there could be something better to use for presenting, but I haven't found it yet. For now, it's pretty good.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Sway:**

I would use sway if you need a good tool for presentations. It is pretty easy to use and there a lot of tools available to make your presentation look appealing to the eye.

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sway is easily to use. There are also a lot of ways in which you can make your presentation interesting. You can include pictures and data while also being able to use other Microsoft products you may have.

  ### 6. More engaging than Powerpoint

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

Sway is great for automating layout and design features to create a cohesive presentation that goes beyond a slide deck.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

Because of the automation, Sway can accumulate more cards than the same information jam packed into a ppt presentation.

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like using Sway to send pile of information that includes links, videos, images, and text. It incorporates mixed media better than microsoft powerpoint and is great for building learning modules.

  ### 7. It’s just another tool for presentation but not very much productive

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

More towards webbesed sharing and easy to share

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

Not as convenient as PowerPoint and other presentation tools

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Sway:**

In case you need a more web based presentation sharing thing then can be used

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If in case I have to share something to broader audience over the web

  ### 8. Microsoft Sway

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalie Rae P. | Marketing Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

I like using the templates on Sway to save time if I'm trying to meet a deadline for a proposal. The templates make it easy to enter information and the layout and design is already in place.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

The templates aren't easily edited. I don't like that I can't move things around easily.

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are many features on Microsoft Sway that are beneficial and time-saving. This product would be amazing for someone who didn't have experience with Graphic Design. It makes it simple to write up a newsletter, resume or portfolio.

  ### 9. Still long way to go for this service (or that's just it)

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Milan M. M. | Owner and Chief Digital Officer (CDO), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

It's relatively easy to work with it - what you build is what the audience on other side will get. It might be that lack of features brings this advantages.

It's part of Office 365 so it is easy to use (one account for all services), and it is well integrated into it, which is a plus.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

The service seems to be so long in it's early stage of development, or Microsoft just wants it to be simple - like notepad is. I'm not sure what could be the strategy as the service seems to have not changed much during the last 2 years. Still I would like to see more features coming in.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Sway:**

Good enough if you want to create online viewable content and share it with someone without having to think how they will see it, do they have the right software to open it etc...

But I think additional features are missing. It will bring complexity but would be more useful tool.
Or else, just use PowerPoint Online or Slides.

I also read that Microsoft is discontinuing the iOS Sway app so pay attention to that.

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly create and share content that needs to be presented (online).
But it is really rare occasion as nowadays everyone is using either Office365 or G Suite, so you can share the PowerPoint or Slides in similar way. I've used it just a couple of times.

  ### 10. Persuade You to Sway

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lindsey C. | English teacher, Primary/Secondary Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

Microsoft Sway looks stunning in examples. However, I am not sure about the learning curve. I have not had success in making my presentations look as fun or as interactive as the demos.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

The interface is complicated. I think it should mirror Powerpoint, even though they are not exactly the same thing.

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is just a fancy way to solve presentation boredom. When used correctly, it helps engage an audience.

  ### 11. Presentations online

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

Professional looking presentations and slideshows without any other software being required....just type in the URL and your away

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

Very basic unfortunately, even though it looks nice your very very limited to what you can actually do. It's ashame because Sway has a lot of potential

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Headers and body text is boring

  ### 12. Easy slideshow

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

Very easy to use and basic compared to PowerPoint. Doesn't replace PowerPoint in my option as its limited on features but I do like how easy it is and works well with any device. Supports them all as its Web based

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

As I mentioned it's got basic features sadly so it's limited on how much you can do unfortunately

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Sway:**

Good for what it is

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Created a sway. A week later I couldn't open it, kept getting an error so ended up deleting it

  ### 13. Great tool for making a training site, but it get stuck.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

The capability to create a nice-looking training web page with ease

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

It hangs up quite a bit during launch. I have had to restart 4 times just this morning.

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making a training site where employees can learn the computer tools that we use.

  ### 14. Appears to be a product with promise - but falls short

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deontray W. | Implementation Project Manager, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

The software automatically creates a compiling presentation

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

There are limited actions you can control. The actions between slides are predetermined (swipe, up, down etc.). Also there needs to be more templates and photo options.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Sway:**

I would not recommend this project. It is a slimmed down version of Power Point.

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I tried the program to help design a presentation for a non-profit organization, however Power Point is a much superior product.

  ### 15. Get Into This

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

I pretty much like everything about it and I’ll most likely recommend it to my family members & friends.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

Mmmmm nothing at the moment, but next time I’ll make sure to make mental notes if I were to run into any problems.

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not really a business, but it’s like my second go to if I don’t fee like using PowerPoint.

  ### 16. Classroom use of sway

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Sway?**

Ease of use
Nice and quick visual of a word document (easily converts)
Easy to share
Able to embed graphics and charts and links

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Sway?**

Needs more variety of layouts and color schemes
Can be more difficult to share with users that don’t use sway

**What problems is Microsoft Sway solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Publishing student work and making it visible and readable for others in class
