## Microsoft SQL Server Reviews
  ### 1. SQL is a good database application, but it can be tricky

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron A. | Network Technician II, Defense & Space, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

SQL is a good database application, but it can be tricky. Scripts and solutions are mostly easy enough to find online. Most things can be figured out without a DBA degree.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

It can run out of space. Sometimes it's hard to figure out what's wrong. If you don't have the right login for the right database, you won't be able to manage it.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Database solutions for VMWare applications, WSUS, and Sharepoint. A standard across the board.

  ### 2. Easy to set up and comes with many features.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giorgi T. | Software Engineer, Telecommunications, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

MsSQL has some of the best standart libraries I've ever had the pleasure of working with in a database management tool. It's scripting language - T-SQL is super strong and versatile.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

It takes up a lot of resources and it's hard to get support sometimes.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

It's a versatile tool for all your data storage needs. It's also free, so you can give it a try and see for yourself.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MSSQL helps me integrate and consolidate lots of different data sources into a all-encompassing data warehouse. It was easy to set up and MSSQL has had all the tools I needed. It greatly enhanced the revenues of the company and helped sales team earn more profit.

  ### 3. Great application to store large DB

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** vijay s. | Co-Founder & CTO, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

I worked on SQL Server for the last 6 years. I found that SQL Server is the best application for storing the DB with an nth level of data and also it's functionality like SP, Views, Indexes that gives developer to work faster than anything else. It is the best app for Microsoft developer who is working with visual studio.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

I work on SQL Server 2008, 2012 now I am working on 2017 there was a common issue is the intelligence of Table and field name manily new added data. For that, we must restart the application once.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

Strongly recommended

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solve many problems with SQL Server but the major problem I solve is inserting the large data in a few seconds like sling slot.

  ### 4. Big data for big companies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Osmani D. | Software QA Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

The management studio for this engine is simply complete. It has everything you may need of a database manager. This is the best choice if you are to work with projects that will manage big data from the start or on the future.

One of the features that I appreciate more is the diagraming tool. After visually creating your diagrams, you can translate that into your SQL queries to create those tables with their respective relationships.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

This is not your average database engine. It is very heavy, so don't expect that your pc will handle it while playing a game or doing your every day tasks. This engine is awesome but it does take some resources off of your pc.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Besides manual testing, we do need to install the software's database in order for it to work locally, and the management studio is great to review any of the data changes that we do on the app to ensure it is working properly.

  ### 5. One of the best databases available on the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Davit K. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

I love the functionality it offers. MSSQL comes with a huge bundle of built-in functions which helps with increasing my productivity and enhancing my workflow. It's also quite stable and has an easy syntax which I picked up easily.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

It is a performance hog and without a strong server to run it on, it can really slow down your systems. Also, customer support is quite slow as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

It's a great multi-purpose DBMS which will give you a lot of features. It's a delight to work with it. I recommend trying MSSQL out.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Microsoft SQL as a part of a data warehouse. I have to make sure my app forms interact well with our database. MSSQL makes it easy.

  ### 6. The best in database

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher R. | Manager Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

A fundamental pillar in databases is the security of the information stored there. Usually these are sensitive data that should not be accessed by unknown persons. SQL Server integrates tools that allow data encryption to prevent external attacks or any malware or virus. It also allows to protect the data of registered users for its use, activating the use of alerts in the case of previously established policy violations.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

It uses a lot of RAM for installations and software utilization. It has many page-level locks, a fixed page size and too small, a lousy implementation of variable data types.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

Always use a good server with good performance performance.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If we work in a social network it allows us to add other SQL Server servers. For example, two people working with SQL Server, one of them can connect to the server of his other partner and so you can see the databases of the other partner with SQL Server.

  ### 7. Best enterprise level database for development.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph L. | Information Technology Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

MS SQL has been around long enough and has enough distribution that there is a tremendous amount of information out there for any situation that you might encounter. If you can ask the correctly you can find the answer. It's relatively tolerant to crashes and can be scaled to any size or cluster configuration needed. Lots of add ons available as well as tools for optimization and troubleshooting.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

Microsoft's pricing has become borderline esoteric in it's level of complexity. SQL is now priced by CORE (not Proc), which can make it very expensive and confusing to license. It also needs proper tuning in order to work well - a small tweak can have huge performance issues.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

Consider full price of ownership - you may need a consultant or full time administrator. Don't skimp on the hardware portion - you may need powerful machines to run the implementation - depending on your user load and type of implementation.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run our ERP system on it and because it's SQL we have been able to customize the system to the level we need. Not a painless process, but it works. Because of the simplicity in connecting outside data I'm able to write connections to our Salesforce CRM to keep the two systems in sync. It's relatively easy to virtualize and run through cloud platforms as well.

  ### 8. One of the Secured SQL Database

The best thing in Microsoft SQL Server is that we can easily process the SQL query.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

The dislike about the SQL Server is gets hanged or stucked.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

Useful tool

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits of using the SQL Server is that we can easily create, edit, update the data's

  ### 9. Best DBMS for large and small scale enterprise

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

We are using SQL Server from 2014 and highly impressed with its simplicity and how its growing its capability with every version. server is a great database server with lots of features that are must for small or large scale companies. part is its user interface and simple to use.It is enabling developers to build their logic with intelligent window as well.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

We are not using any training for now as most of the features are free. Thank you Microsoft. I loved this platform. I dislike the only one thing is that licencing is too costly for small companies.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

We are very satisfied with software and we recommend it for completely safe and secure DBMS architecture.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have over 2500 web pages and all have dynamic data and all are running on top of SQL Server . We also run some automatic jobs that SQL server agent is handling with ease.

  ### 10. Control your server's SQL databases on Windows and Linux operating systems.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Willie R. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

Mainly the compatibility with Windows and Linux, my SQL bases control them efficiently with this system, Microsoft SQL generates error reports constantly to be aware of any inconvenience generated by the server.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

I have no problems with this service, everything works great.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

Use this program with compatibility of any Linux or Windows operating system, several use of programming languages is compatible for more convenience when working.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Microsoft SQL I control and modify all my SQL databases from any operating system, this makes my job easier when I change the operating system or PC.

  ### 11. Good Relational Database Management System

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo L. | Data Engineering Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

Good features for query optimization, good performance overall, plenty of documentation available on the internet.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

Some system procedures are undocummented.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data integration using Integration Services. Data Warehousing, data analytics.

  ### 12. Good Trusted database - Microsoft SQL

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Smith M. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

The good feature of this Microsoft SQL is their installation process. We don't need to install the pre dependent software forcefully it automatically gets installed during their update process so it's a quite easy way to install then any other databases. It also provides the facility of auto updation so by doing so their maintenance cost also get decreased then manually updating the whole system.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

Microsoft SQL can be used in a large scale company to a small scale business also so if there is a person who owns a small business then he/she may find it too much complex as it has higher functionality as compared to that business and also it's cost seems to be very high from them.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

If a person owns a large company and if he/she had to use the database then Microsoft SQL is the best

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The another good feature Microsoft SQL provides is the security which is quite required more in now a days to protect us from many online threat that misuses the data in many ways . It provides only access to a limited authorised person only so there would be no issue of misuse of the data. It also had a feature of encryption also so if a person also knows about the data then it would be in a encrypted format rather then in a simple text format so that it if anyone knows the data then also they would not a able to figure out what's the actual data is

  ### 13. Best and Secured Database - Microsoft SQL

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naqeeb S. | Software Engineer , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

The biggest advantage of the Microsoft Sql is their installation process which is quite simple as compared to many other databases servers. This is installed through the setup vizard and the primary things needed for their installation are detected automatically and then installed during this process so don't need to explicit install the dependency.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

The main disadvantage of using the Microsoft Sql is it's price which is very high. The person needs to first buy the license for this database then only then can use and price of license is very much high and in other databases this license is not required for using it so that seems to be the biggest disadvantage of using the Microsoft Sql

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

If one wants to use the secure database from their company then he/she must use the Microsoft Sql

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The another great thing about the Microsoft Sql is it's security purpose. Only the authorised person have the access the database so their is no problem of data being misused or being sent to another person. If any thing is found then he/she can be easily caught because only few have this access and it would be easy for catching the people if they are found guilty for this. The one thing Management needs to keep on a eye is their Virtual Machine Configuration should be quite matchable with the standards setup by the Microsoft Sql then only this will work in a good and efficient way.

  ### 14. SQL for storage Large amount data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hitesh P. | Mr, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

SQL database have too good speed. It has a large database storage. SQL provides SQL corn job, Store procedure, Scheduling for create the report in shows data as per requirements. Data security is great.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

It's Installation process long and complex. Database backup can not restore if SQL version different.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My client need to the web page speed issue at that time I used the SQL store procedure and it's resolved. Also I can manage more report with different parameter in single table.

  ### 15. Your solid database solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taveras P. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

When you're working with MS SQL on its management studio, you do have this enterprise feeling, which is great because it gives you a secure notion that it sure is a solid solution. I use it every day at my job and we have a nice development workflow using the solution explorer that keeps your queries organized and neat.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

It is heavy. Be ready for that. You do need a development machine for this, not a personal laptop. Maybe your personal desktop PC is properly equipped, but I do not recommend having this on a low spec machine because you will feel a performance hit.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For the type of application that we are developing on my job, we do need an engine that can work with big data, and MS SQL has proven to be a good fit. It works great, but you do need to optimize the way you work with the data, because if you don't, it will fail like any other engine. But with MS SQL optimized for performance, you'll love it.

  ### 16. Microsoft SQL Server EXPRESS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom H. | Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

As a user of the Express edition, the best feature of Microsoft SQL Server lays in my ability to scale up if needed. There are so many free SQL Servers, but the benefit of this offering is the flexibility to move between servers and even scale up by pushing the server to Azure SQL, or an Azure VM. There are more options available to me with Microsoft's SQL Server.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

One downside to the express edition I use is the restrictions that are put in place for memory and CPU usage. In some cases, this benefits me in that I don't want to be hosting my database on a super computer, but under a heavy load I know my free version will not hold up. However, looking back at the positives, I can easily scale up!

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

Unless you need one of the features of the more advanced versions, start with SQL Server Express, and upgrade if needed. I have been working with Express for my small sites for years, and using the paid versions at work, there are no noticeable differences.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft SQL gives me peace of mind because I can develop my entire application at a low level (with low cost!) and then scale up when I hit production IF NEEDED.

  ### 17. my experience with sql server has been very good and productive

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jose b. | Mechatronic Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

One of the things we like most about sql server is being able to work in client-server mode, which allows the information and data to be hosted on the server and for clients or network terminals to only access the information. Also, thanks to the fact that it is a tool that has been on the market for many years, it offers a powerful graphical administration environment, giving us a tool to perform ddl and dml commands graphically. It is very stable and secure and has a good community around it.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

What to my point of view I see more unfavorable of this database tool is its high use of RAM memory in the use of the software, also for this reason it becomes slow at the time of installation if you do not have adequate resources. Also its price taking into account its competitors makes it a more expensive solution.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

What I would recommend to other users is that if you want to implement a robust and reliable database and have a good team and the budget is not a problem, do not hesitate to use sql server

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The project in which we implemented this database manager was the migration of some data from Oracle database and its interface to create ddl and dml commands in a graphical way and the ease of use allowed us to reduce considerably the time of execution of the migration.

  ### 18. Best Database server for Microsoft technologies like DotNet, MVC,and Webservices etc

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DILEEP P. | Dileep Prajapat, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

SQL Server is best database server to working with microsoft technologies like MVC, Dotnet, WCF and etc.
It Is provide the verious functionalities like create database and tables to create stored procedure, functions and views etc. It is also provide SSRS and SSIS features.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

Microsoft SQL Server is made to support millions of records across an enterprise. Because of its robust technology, it also comes with a high price.

Users also need to learn different language to setup microsoft sql environment.

SQL Server requires the .NET framework installed on a machine, which is a separate component used by developers.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

I recommend SQL server to all the programmers who are working on microsoft technologies like DotNet, WCF, MVC and Webservices and wherever they need to interact with database. It provide various functionality to working with data. It provide the better security of data also.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I almost use sql server in all my project and it is very easy to use for the programmers. it help us to manage large amount of data in a normalized manner. it help us to create reports easily using SSRS tool.

  ### 19. A decent RDBMS system for general use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giorgi K. | Data Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

SQL Sever supports multiple users in one setup which make it a multi-user system. SQL Profiler tracks the background queries and helps with the debugging and management of SQL queries. Moreover, by analyzing estimated and actual test plans, it helps to make queries more optimized.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

In terms of resource utilization, there is room for improvement for SQL Server, so that it can cost less CPU usage. Also, there are lot of third party services like SQL Search and SQL Code Guard. Why is there a need for these if SQL itself can implement these necessary functionalities inbuilt?

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

MS SQL is well suited for every organization using databases at the back-end to store data. This has been improving every year and addressing the need of growing data. It is a very consistent and reliable tool. Very easy to import and export data to external tools like Excel and other files. Easy to bulk copy data from tables to files and from files to tables.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to train interns and do classes about databases and SQL.

  ### 20. Good solid platform for SQL/ T- SQL

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

add on tools with export and ease of creation of views and queries (i.e intellisense). The product is able to be used to many connection and the security with windows and SQL server authentication is useful.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

date format syntax should be more flexible and types of date and character manipulation should be much easier to figure out. I also feel that there must be some features to allow macro recordings and automation for jobs and /or functions ans procedures.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

more intuitive interface is desired with quick response time for non-large size databases. Also a form generator is desired to work with data and create easy to use form and easy methodology to create access-like interface and reports from within the same platform.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the SQL platform to create adhoc queries and ETL to load data to 3rd party and to create views that can be used for data evaluations and reporting within my organization and to others outside the department.

  ### 21. An Easy Database Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

Microsoft SQL is an extremely easy-to-use database that it simple to learn for even people with non-technical backgrounds. It is a good way to manage databases as it is something that can be easy to take on for the simplest of beginners, and it is easily integratable with other softwares. Most consultants I know have been able to pick up SQL in less than 3 months.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

It can feel a little less "sexy" that some other database softwares at times. The ease of use and accessibility however make up for what it lacks in design. I think oftentimes companies tend to rely on the use of it too much as well when some more advanced activities in other coding languages can be combined with Microsoft SQL.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

I think, if your organization is in need of a database software, Microsoft SQL is the way to go. The integration with all of Microsoft's partner products as well as Microsoft's own products (should your organization also use those) is well-worth it.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft SQL is an integratable business solution, meaning you can just use it on its own, but you can also combine it with other softwares. UiPath and Automation Anywhere both have these database integration capabilities, which is super helpful when multiple softwares must be used to solve a problem.

  ### 22. A Good Enterprise Transactional Database With Support For Replication And Clustering

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nitin Kumar S. | Cloud Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

It is one the very few databases which gives continuous performance even though the data size is increase beyond 1TB. It supports Always on Clustering in Its Enterprise edition which gives flexibility to shard your database and with no downtime and it service is uniform across multiple platforms i.e on-premise and cloud.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

This database is not suitable for running analytical queries as well as aggregations. The results for queries like rank and partitioning over a field takes a lot of time.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

Customer need to be careful of which license to buy i.e it offers multiple licenses with different feature set and prices also vary with the same. Hence customers has to be careful before purchasing i.e what features that they are going to use and in which category it will fall into i.e Express, Standard or Enterprise license.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This solution replaces a older Oracle Transaction Database and Time to Query and Uptime of this database was better with better performance as compared to old legacy system with less overhead to manage.

  ### 23. Best Database server I have ever worked with

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anuj S. | Data Engineer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

• Just like other Microsoft products; SQL Server is by far the most User-friendly Database Server - best IDE
• Lots of wizard features from import, export, backup, query builder etc that anyone can easily learn and do just with few clicks!
• Built-in execution plan viewer which is nice enough to start with.
• Intellisense (like visual studio) to complete code while typing and showing common mistakes before you even execute
• Integrates very well with other MS products. Full MS BI stack includes SSIS ETL, SSRS BI Tool, SSAS etc.
• Free Plugins and third-party tools available to make your life even easier like: Poorman SQL Formatter, SentryOne Plan Explorer etc

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

• No considerable cons. Maybe Microsoft should consider offering built-in features/tools for which developers use third-party tools and plugins. Like builtin execution plan viewer is not as great as SentryOne Plan Explorer.
• With so many built-in features one little must have to include is One click code indentation. Until Microsoft can add this feature, we can live with Poorman SQL formatter.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

Highly recommended - The Best RDBMS Package I have worked so far.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reporting and Analytics services for Data driven companies + Backend Database for web applications

  ### 24. a good database management system for developers

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

I enjoy the packed toolkit it provides. T-SQL is also a very powerful scripting language which comes with Microsoft SQL and is a delight to use. SQL Profiler helps me keep track of database modifications and plan my actions accordingly.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

I don't like its query optimizer. Sometimes it messes up the execution plans and what should have been a simple query can hang the server. It happens very rarely, though, so, it's fine.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

It's a great multipurpose database and it wont hit your wallet too much. I recommend using it.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?**

SQL Server is probably the most used database engine for big data projects. It has a free version which is the express version, though only use it for personal projects, because it is meant for that. The management studio is great, you can schedule SQL jobs, create diagrams, manage execution plans, you name it.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?**

It is very heavy. This engine is meant for production projects. So if you're thinking of having it installed on your PC, try to count on a very powerfull PC if you don't want it eating some of your resources.

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For a project like the one we are doing at my job, the table indexes are the key (no pun intended). It is a big project and the client is focused on performance, so it is a must on our project!

It is very complex and difficult to install since you have to configure a variety of servers and tools so that it can work properly, besides that the consumption of hardware in the equipment that is installed is high margin, so it can not be installed in a basic features such as access and mysql, and the configuration for use must be done by a trained staff in the area which also limits its use to basic users, and if the software is not connected, work on it in a intuitive it can turn out to be very long and complicated

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft SQL Server:**

It is highly recommended to work on a large scale it is very safe and reliable but it is recommended to be well advised for the installation and configuration of this software since it is not easy to do

**What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is very good software and I use it frequently in the development of the most important administrative systems since it has a high data storage capacity and a high level of security, I have used it for the development of the company's inventory system since It has programming elements that are coupled to the system's needs such as the elaboration of stored procedures for the generation of reports and reports and also queries of tables at a high level of response to be displayed on the forms.
