I can make classroom posters for the walls. I also use it to make foldable and reference sheets that are an aging for my students. I like that I can just make text boxes or images and love them where I want them.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Making a table in Publisher is cumbersome and does not flow as nicely as it does in MS Word. I find that I make one in word, for at it the way I like it and then paste it into Publisher.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need a program that let's me design visually clear yet interesting material for my students.

Publisher is pretty simple to figure out. It offers more creative freedom than Powerpoint.

  ### 4. THE BEST SOFTWARE TO BE ABLE TO CREATE ADVERTISING

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** LUIS MARTIN M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher is ideal for quick and easy typographic projects, offering you many templates for every need you have. This is what I like the most, the fact that it always has a ready-to-print template that can be customized in minutes according to my needs. This is thanks to the intuitive and fast interface and the many tools available.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

From time to time it can fail and be a bit problematic. Microsoft seems determined to push everyone towards its subscription/cloud-based service. Annoying advertising for that and constant push in that direction. Just buying the one-time license is a test of patience.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

Acquire the editing tool and simplify its functions, giving better results to larger and smaller companies.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create marketing materials for events. I have used this program to create brochures and advertisements for local distribution.

  ### 6. Publisher

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I like this tool because it is very easy to learn and manage and also helps us create and publish professional quality marketing and sales materials for commercial printing, e-mail or Internet publications. It allows me to create personalized publications from a database as well as simplify the process of creating publications.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I dislike that the pre-made images are something classic and sometimes this is not useful, since it prevents the users of this tool from giving that personal touch to the design, there must be more flexibility to allow the user to give a personal touch to the work .

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

I would highly recommend the use of this tool, since it would allow any organization to project the image of your company and its products, making use of the functions that this tool possesses.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through the use of this tool we have been able to create publications and marketing material of high professional quality through the creation of brochures, newsletters, postcards, greeting cards, posters that have allowed the projection of our organization.

  ### 7. Easy to use and works for everything we need.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Easy to use, and it allows us to make cover sheets. Dropping in photos with a saved style is as easy as right clicking. If you know how to use other office programs then this one is easy to use the basic features.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Sometimes when we try and add something from the clipboard in "format autoshape" it will not recognize there is something on the clip bored (this is very annoying). there is a bit of a learning curve when doing anything advance.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

I'm sure there is other programs that do similar things, however if you're use to office suit then there is little to no reason to use a different program.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This program allows us to create very modern looking report covers for our company.

  ### 8. Microsoft Publisher, Ideal for the creation of didactic material.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maiky Yelitze Z. | Coordinadora Especialidad Quimica y Petroleo, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

The best thing about the program is its simple interface, which allows even people who do not have knowledge of the subject in graphic design as professors to elaborate teaching tools such as calendars, brochures, diplomas, newsletters, resumes, posters, worksheets. information, letterheads, envelopes, forms, invitations, catalogs, brochures, calendars and announcements in general that allow students to get attention in a more efficient way thus improving the entire educational process. The program has a wide range of easy-to-use tools and can be implemented by both teachers and students, an aspect that greatly enriches the entire learning process. It is the perfect program for teachers and educators who do not have a great specialization in graphic design, since its templates and tools make it much easier to use.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The weakest point of this program is that it is often considered simple by people with knowledge in design, although the publications made in the professional-looking child are often considered boring and repetitive, due to the ease use of templates for which you can often use on the sheet, what can really be designed, these same things are very easy to use can use your personal touch and can not be compared to the result of the work of a graphic design expert that uses programs of a more specialized type, but in spite of this it can have a quite competent content for the development of the didactic material of good quality that allows to improve the whole learning process.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

The program has a simple interface that brings many benefits to teachers including the possibility of making attractive publications, in addition to having great tools such as predesigned templates or those that can be downloaded that can be obtained for free on the web.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is without a doubt an incredible program that offers all the people the opportunity to achieve the design of brochures, newsletters and other advertising content that the company can print later or directly on the web. Thanks to its easy-to-use tools and its ease of use, it can be used by teachers who do not have specific or professional knowledge in graphic design, in addition to the series of templates and tools that the program provides to strengthen the learning process and acquisition of knowledge by students.

I make logos, flyers, labels, etc.

  ### 10. Microsoft publisher

  ### 12. Microsoft Publisher is a good software program for creating projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

What I like best about Microsoft Publisher is that I can create my own or use the templates available through Microsoft Publisher. I am in charge of organizing several events for my job. Some of the events require flyers, posters, bookmarks, booklets etc. Microsoft Publisher has helped me to design different projects for my events. I like the fact that I can easily incorporate into my projects pictures, designs or documents that I need from my own files.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

What I dislike about Microsoft Publisher is that I need a step by step tutorial to find out how to create my projects no matter if is simple or complex. There are so many features that can be used and a person cannot just start on his/her own to create a project. He/she needs to understand how each feature works. I wish that it had a feature on the toolbar that says "Tell me what you want to do". This would help me tremendously because I can click on that tool and ask what I want and it will show me what I need to do to accomplish that procedure. Once you learn how the features work, creating projects will be a "breeze".

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

If possible and if you are new to Microsoft Publisher, I recommend that you look at a tutorial before using the software. This will help you to utilize all the features that are available for whatever project you are creating.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving business problems and getting benefits in only having to use one software program to help me create the project that I need for any event.

Publisher does not have very professional aspects like other publishing editors, which does not allow for comparison with the result of an expert in graphic design, it is used to perform simpler jobs, not professional works.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

If your employees need to have a quick job in a short time this is the best application they can use, Help create, personalize and easily share a wide variety of publications and marketing material which helps you to publicize the company and thus increase the profits of the company.

Its prefect for non-expert users and for professionals as well, even for children’s and teenagers. The interface is very clean and very simple to understand.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Most individuals with Microsoft Office will have access to this program. Many students also have free access to Microsoft Publisher and can learn how to use this program.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The program is intimidating to use at first without any direction.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

Free if you have Microsoft Office. Give it a trial run or download an older version for free. You can google Microsoft Publisher free download and test out an old version before buying the latest version. You can also look up on Google how to use Microsoft Publisher. There are hundreds of "how to videos" online for easy learning of Publisher tools. Give employees or co-workers a practice assignment and let them play around with the program to get a feel for its capabilities. Microsoft Publisher is limited, and if your company needs high-tech design you may need to purchase a product similar to Adobe InDesign. However, for simpler design tasks Microsoft Publisher should be able to meet your needs. The company I worked for used it for educational handouts and flyers. We simply had to pay for the type of paper to print the designs on and the ink. Lots of saved money!

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Design informative handouts/brochures without paying a high price for a design platform. The benefits of using publisher include familiar design tools and structure as other Microsoft Office programs. Learning Microsoft Publisher may be easier than an entirely new program because of familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.

  ### 17. Great basic tool

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

What I like about publisher is that it is easy to completely move text and fields. It is an intuitive program, so anyone could pick it up and start using it at the basic level with little to no training.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I don't like that text is not easily formatted across text fields. We use this program to write instruction manuals, and it is very hard to apply a correction across the whole document. For instance, we changed paper size, and had to manually adjust font, text boxes, and layout of each page.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

It is a good basic package.

I love its ease when converting formats into different types of files as could be in PDF or XPS without any problem saves me large amounts of time at the time of some work from my home or office with the variety of templates that this has and ways to make types of cards, brochures, brochure and invitations ect. A wide customizable dashboard within the software that helps to be simpler and easier to use.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

One of its drawbacks is that being an easy to use program and something simple occupies more space than desired, and little union between some more current programs of design for a better programming at the time of joining the work within the same software in concluding are few Things I do not like about this program because I use it daily in my work and does not generate major problem and is very easy and easy to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

I would love to recommend it as it takes a good path at the time of each update and improves much more this software coming from 1991 to its latest version of 2015 giving a breakthrough in each of them

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly the varieties of designs within Microsoft Publisher and the great help in writing as is also the palette of colors quite extensive at the time of including our designs and details of graphics in the program, also the focus on the market of small businesses which start from small projects to large and complex projects.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2018

For the cost of the program or the yearly subscription, they should offer options of much more complex image editing tools for advanced users as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

Great for users who are not computer savvy, into simplicity, or wants a simple and quick flyer. However, for the high cost of the program, there are better photo/image editing softwares which are able to give more advanced tools, creating better quality products.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating last minute flyers or office memos with premade templates.

  ### 24. My go to and fallback editor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffrey R. | Front End Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Publisher was my first editor that I used to work with photos, documents, certificates, games, and all other forms of paperwork that required more features and functionality that a simple word doc. It is rare that I will use word for word documents anymore as Publisher can do the same thing, while also having the ability to add in flair, and images on a free form canvas. It is simple to arrange things and will typically yield a high quality result.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I cannot think of anything that I really dislike with Microsoft Publisher. The features that come with it can accomplish nearly any task I have come up against and I will sometimes use it as a fallback when I can't accomplish something with Photoshop (Rather new Photoshop user here).

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

I have used Publisher for years (Since Microsoft first came out with it) and have been able to create tasks using it that others in my previous field (Education) could not come up with. I am currently using Photoshop more and more for my current occupation (Front End Web Development), however I still find myself opening Publisher now and again to accomplish a task that I struggle with or have not learned yet in Photoshop. Publisher is an amazing program with a vast array of features.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating any form of document that requires more than a simple word processor. It also allows me some ability to edit, combine, and fix images.

Can be slow with high graphics. It will take a long time to load when I use high end graphics. It can be frustrating having to wait for loading. Nothing found to fix this either. Checked forums and Microsoft help.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

Easy to learn. Is fast. Great for multiple projects!

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cost effective. And fast in getting projects done on time.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

This needs personalization. more more more personalization

  ### 27. Using MS Publisher for simple promotional materials

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cailee Anne V. | Technical Database Administrative Assistant, Marketing and Advertising, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

overall needs to be updated, but it is perfect for a simple job in publishing such as a basic flyer, program or brochure for an event. I used publisher most recently to create a program and flyers for a conference at the college where i work and it was very easy to do so.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

There are newer, similar software out there that offer more modern features. If ms publisher adopted some of these features, it would better be able to compete with the competition. Some fonts are outdated, templates are outdated.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

if you are looking for premade templates that are up to date, this program is not the best. it works best for providing a basic lay out and then you can add your own creative flare to it.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

creating promotional materials/marketing materials for events. I have used this program to create flyers, invitations, programs and brochures.

  ### 28. Great way to generate flyers for events

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer M. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

User friendly, many templates to get ideas from.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I can't think of anything that Publisher doesn't do that I need it too...

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its' a great way to save when generating flyers for fundraisers without the additional costs. We can use as needed.

  ### 29. Microsoft’s Printer Friendly app.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian S. | Team Lead/Presenter, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Visible margins allow you to adapt any type of document onto Publisher. Announcements and flyers look flawless. Files can be easily converted into PDFs.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Publisher isn’t cross compatible with other apps. It’s hard to send a Publisher file unless it’s converted to a PDF.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

Always keep this app up to date, even if it means purchasing the newest version again.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don’t have to pay someone to create flyers and specialized documents. I’ve easily completed event flyers with Publisher.

Usually when one needs to make a brochure, on Publisher you can view every side of the document along with folding margins. On Microsoft word, font and pictures usually get shifted as you convert the brochure or make adjustments to it. Publisher is a cheap addition to Microsoft Office users

  ### 30. MS Publisher

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Create professional, personalized newsletters, brochures, post cards, and more.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Truthfully, I love using MS Publisher, but the only dislike I have is the templates.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making changes to a data source or address with tremendous results.

  ### 31. Microsoft Publisher - A useful tool for developing creative presentations and documents

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** stephen m. | Project Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I like the ability to have a blank slate and create any size or type of document I need for marketing and business development purposes.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I have rarely experienced moments of freezing within the program when saving documents with many hi-resolution photos. When these freezes occur, the document takes a few seconds longer to save the file, then reverts back to normal.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Publisher to produce marketing and business development documents. In Microsoft Publisher I have prepared brochures, pamphlets, banners, and presentations.

  ### 32. Diversity and use of Microsoft Publisher

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

This tool unlike alternative use power point, pulisher has better interface and view more tools and designs to use.

It allows you to connect with customers by personalizing publications and Convert publications to PDF or XPS format, you can also create personalized publications from a database.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

To be a self-publishing program Publisher offers classic publications that although they are not professional looking, they allow the user to work with them, however, it prevents in some way that the predesigned templates are reflected on the sheet, this is occasionally not very useful because it prevents the user from giving his personal touch.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

It is a particular Microsoft Publisher to create brand identity with color schemes and combinations of custom fonts, such as logo to generate content and business information.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can not compete with work as advanced as you can with other tools such as Photoshop is a more rudimentary tool that can not be compared to a work done by a designer.

However, it is useful for fast users, with little information and content to be used by user.

  ### 33. Great software

Being able to create spreadsheets and sharing them with other employees as well as editing

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The help provided isn’t clear when trying to understand why a feature isn’t working correctly

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating and sharing documents related to consumer

  ### 34. Only if you are desperate

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

The best feature was its simple compatibility with Microsoft platform and easy to use for office staff.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Extremely frustrating due to its limitations.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

Only for those with very little experience. Not for anyone who has design skills. They will be frustrated.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The only benefit was giving staff the ability to create some simple flyers...but that is also a curse because some of them should not be designing but now they think they can.

  ### 35. Good for making ....

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Military | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Easy to make business cards, posters, and any other cards one can imagine. It has so many options to choose from, good features, and has everything set to print, and that's it!

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I would like to see more online clip arts available

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mostly use it for personal use and occasions where cards were needed: Father's Day, Mother's Day, anniversaries, etc

  ### 36. Amazing for poster making!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bhagavathy S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I love the amount of customization for poster making. Being able to change the size and backgrounds and snap into place! All really great features!

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I dislike that there are not more templates

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

This is one of the best options for quick and fast flyer making!

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to make posters and flyers for events and this does the job!

  ### 37. Publisher is the underrated office platform you should be using.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

The movable formatting is much more efficient than Microsoft Word when changing company documents to look identical.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Because it is not a part of the main Office personal package, most employees do not start their job with a well-rounded knowledge of the program. Personally, I had to learn how to use the program on my own and many individuals shy away from using it because of a lack of knowledge.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

Take the time to learn how to use the product well. It is one of the best ways to increase efficiency if you hold a position where you are editing documents with both text and images (brochures, headers, posters, newsletters, etc.)

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When trying to format documents that require both text and images, Microsoft Publisher is the best platform to use. Word, though the perfect platform for text documents, is often very finicky when adding images or design. To maintain the uniformity of office documents with images, Publisher is the most effective tool.

  ### 38. Solid Page Layout Software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Simple interface that's extremely clean, when compared to InDesign or similar pro-level tools. There are lots of tutorials from other users online (Youtube, etc), great time-tested design that hasn't really changed in years. Overall the software is stable and works very well.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Can occasionally crash and be a bit buggy. Microsoft seems dead-set on pushing everyone to their cloud-based/subscription service. Annoying advertising for that and constant pushing in that direction. Just purchasing the one-time license alone is a test in patience. I would recommend purchasing from a reseller, as that seems to be the absolute easiest way, as opposed to purchasing it through MS directly. You can often save money going around them as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

Publisher is a great tool that definitely is easier to use (and cheaper) than InDesign or similar Pro-Level software. I would say try it out before buying to make sure it will do what you need it to do. My biggest complaint is how Microsoft as a company tries to push Microsoft Office 365 as a subscription product so hard, as opposed to letting people easily (without jumping through 10,000,000 steps and windows) purchase the product outright. I think overall Publisher is best for smaller-house style clients, so keep that in mind as well.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used it to design flyers and items of this sort. Much easier than using Word (on the simple extreme) or InDesign (on the more complex side).

  ### 39. With help from a decent template library, Publisher can create highly detailed products

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muneer K. | Confidential Assistant, Research, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

The template for tri-fold brochures make pamphlet-making much less complicated. Also features like shape drawing, WordArt, and Page Parts gives an edge in designing something eye-catching and original. I also like the table insert ability - this is especially useful if creating things like quick phone directories, or short, colorful lists.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Users must be meticulous in their placement of objects, imported images, and long text in their creations. Sometimes, I have to create multiple text boxes to perfectly fit a paragraph or sentence next to an image. It is also difficult to keep track of which objects or images are "on top" of others, so when you go back to edit a layered image it can be difficult to click the correct one. Sometimes I need to use keyboard shortcuts to edit an object/image that is layered behind others - this can be a nuisance.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

It is possible to creating visually appealing brochures and posters with Publisher. However, if you are looking for a higher quality end product with a bit more of a "professional" look, I would suggest looking elsewhere to software like PhotoShop or InDesign.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have created comprehensive and visually stunning business/travel brochures. I have also used Publisher for softer projects, like holiday part posters and the such. The benefit of Publisher is that it is simple enough to use to create good-looking products, but is intuitive enough that it does not require the amount of training for something like PhotoShop or InDesign.

  ### 40. Teaching Assistant

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Being creative and being able to use a simple platform to create brochures or flyers for my class.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Not being to be as efficient in using it on my phone but this has not been a major con.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being creative and being able to produce flyers or brochures with a certain vision in mind. When teaching a class, it is important to be able to make your vision come to life and publisher assists with doing just that.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Flavio S. | Marketing, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher is great for quick and easy typography projects, it offers you a lot of templates for every need you have. This is what I like most, the fact the it always have a ready to print template that in minutes can became customized following my needs. This thanks to the interface intuitive and fast and thanks to the many tools avaible.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

What I really can't understand is how it's possible that Microsoft Publisher still have a poor graphic designs area. Can be helpfull to modify a picture and a logo inside the software, without the needs to use multiple software for the same graphic project. This is one of the big and common missing in the app.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

Despite the appearence Microsoft Publisher is second to none when talking about fast designing and printing. I really reccomend you to use it.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Publisher is what save me every time I don't have the time or budget to hire a graphic design for small office projects. It allows me to create and print professional lookings graphics within minutes and without leaving our studio. I use it a lot to build up brochures and little flyers. Time saving and money saving.

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I can quickly get graphics and publications created using this program. It is very functional but very basic.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

It is a bit basic, so if you desire bells and whistles this isn't the program to use.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create every single kind of publication there is- flyer, brochure, invitation, banner

  ### 45. publisher

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I dont really like publisher, but use it when creating newsletters for parent group at my kids' school. I use this because it is easily accessible for others if I have to pass this duty to another parent.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I do not like how you have to lay things out. It is not very user friendly.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits are it is easily accessible and most people have it so I can pass the duties to another parent without having to worry about them not having the program.

  ### 46. Easy to Use

  ### 48. Microsoft Publisher

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Using photos and moving them around easily and lining them up. The layout is straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

It's not too flashy and doesn't seem like they've really updated it much in a long time, so it seems a little outdated.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

It's pretty easy to use and a little better for making flyers than Microsoft Word.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making flyers

  ### 49. Great For Every Day Beginner Design Use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan F. | Admin, Religious Institutions, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I cant tell you how many times I am in Adobe, and I think to myself, this is just a print publication. Quickly I Minimize adobe and I go straight to Publisher. It makes formatting a document for print easy. Whether you choose to use their easy, predesigned templates, or you use their "blank page" and build from scrap, it truly helps the modern professional and saves on graphic design cost.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

It is limited on how you can save a document and the amount of DPI. So If you are building a project, for example, a large billboard, this program will most likely not meet your requirements at only 300 DPI.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

If you need a program that is not only affordable but will save you money on day to day or monthly publication cost publisher is for you.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I always use this program for invites, mailing, and office memorandums. It allows me to not just make a basic text document, but add in photos. I have really used the benefits since we expanded our mailing department.
