**Reviewed by:** Aswathy B. | Business Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Anyone is able to easily use the publishing feature Microsoft publisher provides. Other than the n number of pre-defined templates I can easily search for more templates using the search link. Publisher identifies the spelling and grammar errors and provides inline notifications for the same. What I like most is
1)Predefined shapes
2)Specific Menu option
3)Work well with office suits
4)Custom guidelines
5)Several wizards
6)Manipulate the features like text, page size etc

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Though Microsoft publisher provides me with hundreds of templates I don't get many options to change the template formatting. One of the challenging disadvantage I see is Publisher convert imported data from another source to an image so one should be very careful validating the source data before importing it to Publisher.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to easily build and customize my publications by giving pre-made elements. The design checker helps to review my final content and highlights me for any design problems.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachid F. | Financial Management Advisor / Conseiller en Gestion Financière, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher is an excellent tool for creating brochures or ebooks. I like that it's intuitive, mainly if you are already accustomed to Microsoft office products such as Word and Powerpoint. It comes with numerous templates that cover the most common topics: birthdays, menus, calendars, flyers etc.
You can easily insert texts and images. As mentioned, all other functionalities are similar to the ones you find with Microsoft office word. So, even if you didn't get formal training, you can still get the work done.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I didn't find templates ideal for creating ebooks. So, you have to build your own. All the other templates for calendars, birthdays..etc, are great and do the job.
The library of images is not rich enough.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

Great and easy to use tool

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With publishers, you can deliver your client's professional handout during meetings. I use it also to build templates for social events at work because it's much easier than using Microsoft Word. The tool is also great to write an ebook, especially since specialized web services can be complex to learn.

  ### 7. AN EASY WAY TO EDIT AND PUBLISH

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

It is user-friendly software. The templates are great and of many varieties. We can easily insert texts and images, and links to design our publication. I also quickly taught the employees how to use this application for business productivity.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

It needs to implement some more updates, and it is the beginner software to use. It can provide more options and more blank templates. It is a bit expensive software.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

It is an excellent and easy-to-use tool. It is helpful software from the business point of view because we can easily make-business cards, presentation cards, and templates directly with the help of a Microsoft publisher.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can deliver professional handouts to the clients during business meetings. We can also write an ebook. We can make newsletters, templates, and many such items easily from the business point of view.

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Customizable templates simplify the works. Easy to learn ans do somethings beacause the menu items and tools are almost same or similar with other office app

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

website design feature is old fashion and it is not possible to design a responsive and interactive website with the software.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

It is very useful software for small business requirements

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I prepare some sketches and diagrammes for powerpoint together with certificates for trainings in publisher and also use it for personal purpose such as making a small brochures, gift cards

  ### 9. Publisher - A lifesaver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacey P. | Professional Development Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

MS Publisher is a program that is so much easier to use than web-based programs similar. I have attempted to use a variety of other programs in hopes of not having to purchase the software, but bit the bullet and paid for it, because, let's face it, the program is just more user-friendly. The ability to manipulate items is easier in Publisher, along with a slew of other things!

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Honestly, the only thing I dislike about Publisher is the fact that you must purchase the software license annually. I would be nice if they allowed you to purchase the version currently out with the ability to upgrade during your year if you desire.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to solve our newsletter issues. While I prefer to use a bulk mail service program, using Publisher and being able to save as a PDF and convert into a JPG has been a lifesaver.

  ### 10. High quality tool for your projects !!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ana Franchesca R. | Profesor universitario asistente, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher, I really like it for its versatility and functionalities, since it allows me to quickly and efficiently make informative brochures for my students when we must comply with the biosafety protocols for Covid 19, and this valuable tool has been our lifeline in these difficult times; because it has a large number and variety of designs that make my job easier.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

As is well known worldwide, that all Microsoft products are of the highest quality and this Microsoft Publisher Software is no exception, it is one of the best, however I think that the different design templates should be adapted to the new times so that they are more modern and updated.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

I give my absolute approval of this powerful software with which in other things we can make business cards, presentation cards and of course that wide variety of templates that will make your work easier, that is why I recommend Microsoft Publisher to all users who use it. required.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In particular, I can tell you that this program is very good because we have the great opportunity to carry out our work projects with great professionalism, such as attractive brochures, newsletters and advertisements with creative images that will give a better view to who will be addressed.

  ### 11. Microsoft publisher, excellent work tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arelis d. | Profesor universitario asistente, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

It is definitely very satisfactory for me as a teacher to use this magnificent tool that belongs to the Microsoft Office suite (Like some others such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), since in these difficult times due to a pandemic I have been able to make brochures for you informative to my students with the great variety of templates that this software has, and in this way we help each other and guarantee to have a more efficient communication in relation to topics of my subject and the different activities that I propose, using Microsoft Publisher that makes it easier and comfortable its elaboration.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

There is no doubt that all the Microsoft Office Suite software are excellent and this, Microsoft Publisher is one of the best, however I must note that as always I have my mobile phone would be very useful with a version for cell phones that would help us favorably.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

I must tell you absolutely that Microsoft Publisher I recommend it to my teaching colleagues, since it is a program that allows us in one way or another to create both visual material for both print and virtual use (involving brochures, advertisements, pamphlets, curricula , triptychs, maps, invitations, among other resources of this type).

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In all the years of experience using Microsoft Publisher, it has been of utmost importance because it has allowed me to be able to teach and keep my students informed with this very powerful tool at this stage of teaching with the ups and downs of the pandemic.

  ### 12. Makes simple brochures... simple!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley V. | Executive Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft publisher takes the frustration out of using programs like word for making simple brochures or flyers, but it also doesn't require you to be as technically savvy as something like photoshop. There is a wide variety of documents you can use publisher for and I have definitely sped up my process by using this program over others that I've used in the past.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I don't have a lot of complaints about microsoft publisher. I think if I were to have one complaint it would be that there aren't a very large amount of prebuilt images that I have used so I almost always have to import them, but that's not honestly a big complaint.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an executive assistant, there are often small flyers or email blasts that I have to put together quickly and get them out to a lot of people. These don't need to be terribly intricate or marketing focused, they just need to be quick and attractive. Publisher has the ability to do anything from very simple to very detailed and takes out the aggravation of trying to use programs like word or paint.

  ### 13. Reliable Desktop Publishing Application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian A. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher has been the most reliable desktop publishing application. It is easy to use and very cost-efficient. Microsoft publisher provides a large variety of high-quality publications and templates. It is simple to add shapes, text, images, borders and links to design your publication.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

There are several downsides to Microsoft Publisher. It is limited control over the size of your publication. It does lack compatibility with other software that are not Microsoft-based. Its functionality is restricted when dealing with automatic spelling and grammar in comparison to Microsoft Word.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Publisher range and ability to manipulate features such as page size, text, graphics, and borders has been huge benefit when dealing with documentation publishing.

  ### 14. Whatever you need to Publish, virtual or otherwise, MS PUBLISHER ias the best!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe A. | Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Publisher is a very easy-to-use software, with straightforward menus, easily controlled insertable items, and a very nice final product.
You can just grab any item inserted and toss it anywhere on the page, change its size, color, shape, etc., merge it with other items and just publish it.
Also, you can find a template for any type of publication you can think of.
This is absolutely the first software I install on each and every computer I use.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Some "used to" shortcuts that are abundant in other Office products are, unfortunately, kind of scarce in Publisher, the silliest of them being the "F4" that allows you to redo the last action.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast and easy document or publication creation through Publisher has made my life, and job, a lot easier: whenever I need to create something new, it just takes me 15-20 minutes and it's ready for use.

  ### 15. I miss Microsoft Publisher

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susan S. | Historian

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I use it to easily create greeting cards, small booklets , business cards etc.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I'm unable to retrieve my publisher files

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

?

  ### 16. Good product for basic needs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zachary H. | Associate Head Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

The software is very simple to use to create PDFs, flyers, registration forms, whatever you need. It is easy to understand and I have easily taught others within the organization to use it without any issues.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

For the level of what I need to accomplish these days it is too basic of a software. It is good for those basic level things that you need or if you are just starting out with creating such materials; however, I am to the point now that I need to create visually stunning or eye grabbing things that Publisher cannot do.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

It is a fantastic beginner product for those wanting to start creating their own materials: registration forms, flyers, etc. It is very easy to use and understand!

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems per se. Just that I have moved on from using the software for creating materials. It is a great product though if you are wanting to start out creating materials!

  ### 17. A step up from MS Word when creating print pieces

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** T. Blane M. | President, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I like that the application is very consistent and integrates will with the other Microsoft Office Suite products. The interface is easy to adopt. I also, like that there are several output and packaging options to prepare your job to go to a professional printer. There are lots of templates to get you started and it doesn't take long to figure out how to start from a blank page, after you have worked with a few examples. There are also, lots of helpful prompts to let you know when your columns are being truncated, especially after changing a font characteristic.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

It comes with many of the Office packages, but not all. I don't use it enough to justify a separate license, but if it comes with a package, it Is a plus.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

If you need to create professional file packages for printers, but don't have the time or resources for a full, feature rich solution, this will get the job done. The amount of template are very helpful, also. Templates will get you started with the layout that you need, and with a little tweaking you can easily re-brand the look and feel. Pay attention to the linked text boxes that allow text to overflow into a different part of the document.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating material that will be sent to a printer. Also, creating a PDF version for use as a download for content marketing. I have found that the publishing packages provide all the files and details that you need to have a professional looking product. I have never had any problems with printers being able to use the files.

  ### 18. Microsoft Publisher - one of the best editing tools available

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mukesh D. | Technical Test Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher has an easy learning curve and helps you design excellent invitations. The software is easy to use like its entire Microsoft suite and gives you more flexibility than Powerpoint/Word to edit your designs. Microsoft Publisher has a lot of templates that help you get started according to what your needs are. Be it schedules, checklists, greeting cards, brochures, emails, catalogs, or even letterheads - Microsft Publisher is the way to go.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher is easy-to-use software. I don't find anything wrong with it except that it is beginner software - you will find other better alternatives (they all are complicated to learn even though they might provide more functionality). It is a part of the Microsoft suite, and if you don't have its licensed version, it might be easier to go with some other software.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Publishers helps me design my travel postcards. I can create my schedule and calendar using the same software. It also allows me to develop professional emails and beautiful banners for the websites. The alternatives may do a better job, but Publisher is extremely easy to learn and handle, which makes it the perfect software to start your designing process.

  ### 19. Publisher: easy but not mind-blowing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I use this software to make our (very large) quarterly newsletter. I love that it's extremely easy to use. Anyone familiar with other MS Office products should be able to pick this up right away. It's nowhere near as complex as Adobe InDesign or similar products. The variety of templates is quite nice as well, though I tend to re-use a particular set-up that's most conducive to a newsletter. Occasionally, I use Publisher to produce flyers as well. They look quite professional when blended with elements from Canva or Adobe Spark.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Ease of use typically directly reflects upon functionality. So, with Publisher being so simple to learn, it's also simple in what it can implement. You're going to lose some versatility. Also, converting anything into a PDF doesn't always happen seamlessly, and there are sometimes weird font substitutions when importing from Spark. The Master Pages feature is confusing until you get the hang of it, too.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

If you're a newbie, this is the perfect design tool for you. Try it out to catch on to the basics before moving to more complex programs.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've gone from someone who was overwhelmed at the thought of creating an entire newsletter from scratch to a very capable designer of this project. It helped that Publisher is not intimidating and has a friendly interface.

  ### 20. The best layout program for beginners!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ingrith Roselys M. | COLLEGE PROFESSOR, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

It has a wide variety of templates available and can quickly adapt to new changes.
As I am familiar with other Microsoft Office programs, I can make any layout in Publisher.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

It should have more shapes and visuals to incorporate into the design.
What I didn't like was that it took up a lot of space on my hard drive, compared to other layout programs, it seems to me to take up a lot of space.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

I recommend it to elaborate billboards and brochures; it is not a product for professional designs.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it frequently to make triptychs and other designs that I post on billboards. I use it for educational purposes.

  ### 21. A creativity enhancer

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ngaafare R. | Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher features several templates that were always my go-to features whenever I had a project that needed speeding up and to be delivered in a small time frame. I liked that Microsoft Publisher templates can cover any type of task that a user will be focusing on and if a specific template is not included, there is always a template that will be close to the one being looked for and it is editable and can be saved as a template after editing.
Another factor that made me choose Microsoft Publisher was its drag and drop feature that worked as an aid in my aim to work fast and effectively. By using this feature it allowed me to insert pictures and other media files into my projects much easier which saved me a lot of time that would have been spent importing files. More so its drag and drop feature allowed me to get media files straight from my social media pages which I have found to be a very convenient feature.
I liked using Microsoft Publisher also because of how easy it is to use through its user interface that is very simplified mostly for entry-level and the features are very easy to take advantage of to produce high-quality publications.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

One main reason that made me leave Microsoft publisher was its inability to import pdf format files which was a serious drawback for me in my workflow because I had to find a workaround option to come up with a format that Microsoft Publisher was able to accept and that was time-consuming.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

It is an easy to use software that can give the best quality publication, I recommend it to anyone considering it.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My main problem before we adopted Microsoft Publisher in my organisation was the in-between switching of software to get multiple tasks done for example designing and sending a publication which is a scenario that used to require two software programs but using Microsoft Publisher I was able to design publications and then send them to a number of my email recipients at once from within one software.

  ### 22. Great for Entry-Level Design Needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Serena D. | Director of Staff Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Publisher is easy to use and builds well on a working knowledge of the Microsoft suite at large. It integrates very easily with Word, Excel, etc. For someone who is less experienced in design, it has been very helpful for my small-scale needs.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Some of the design features and abilities do fall short of higher-end software standards. Publisher does not allow for full-bleed creations or other print-oriented features.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

If you like the microsoft suite in general, this product will be a great fit for you as well.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have solved many problems with Publisher. From creating flyers and booklets for my church, to crafting wedding invitations, mail merges, and small design projects for our organization, this software has been well worth the additional cost.

  ### 23. Microsoft publisher: Best publisher tool for small business.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** susanta r. | System Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

It is one of the best tools for a small business which do not require a dedicated design professional. It offers a lot of features to design your page. It has a lot of pre-built templates.
Low-end graphics can be added compared to other Graphics providers. It is best suited to create magazines, visiting cards, various cards which required graphics. It does not required deep knowlege in graphics designing. Its user interface is very much helpful to usrer to navigate different part.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

It only has a desktop version. It should have a mobile and web version.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

It's a fantastic app to work with graphics without deep knowledge in it. Go for it.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Microsoft Publisher for creating banners, cover letters, etc., for my organization. It has a lot of features to use graphics, images, art on your page. Pre-built templates are very much helpful to start with my work. We can focus more on the design part rather than text editing using the publisher. I have integrated this with excel to do excellent work. Without deep knowlwdge in design i am creating dynamic and good looking banners and cover letter.

  ### 24. Publications have never been this simple

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher is very cheap to obtain and considering the features that it offers I would say this is one of the reasons why this product has been my favourite. More so since it comes from the Microsoft suite that also means it offers integration as well with other Microsoft products which helps to ease my workflow.
I have used Microsoft Publisher to create proposals for my future projects that I would deliver through presentations and what caught my attention within a range of features was the design tools that it had. More so the tools are so intuitive that it promotes creativity and they are very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

This has been such a great tool to use very much on every publication that I had to do, hence I have no dislikes when it comes to its features and architecture.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

I would recommend any user considering this software to go ahead and purchase the product since it offers a lot of easiness in the workflow.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating instant proposals and other projects on my own used to be very difficult because of how complicated other design and publication software products are hence I used to rely on my other staff members who were experts in using that software, which brought me a lot of inconveniences. Microsoft Publisher's introduction into my organisation saved me a lot of time since it is very easy to use, I instantly got to use it by myself the first time and this helped a lot in terms of convenience.

  ### 25. Work made much easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

What I have liked best about Microsoft Publisher is that it can be deployed both on-premise and on the cloud which I have to be very convenient since in my organisation we managed to have both deployments. The benefit of this feature is that even when I am not on workplace premises I still have access to my saved publications and projects.
The integration of this product with Microsoft Outlook has also helped me to get in touch with my organisation's clients very easily because of the contact list that Outlook will be having it becomes very easy to send newsletters, business cards and business forms from Publisher.
Microsoft Publisher is scalable which has been another benefit to my organisation since we were able to upgrade on all stages of our company growth from small business to a large enterprise and the transition has been very seamless and no files were lost.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The availability of every mobile's version would have made this a perfect product but because the mobile experience is missing this creates a lot of inconveniences whenever I want to continue with my work remotely.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

Impressive functionality I have found this to be very helpful for use in workplaces I recommend this to anyone considering it.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Publisher has helped me in my organisation with a lot of pre-installed templates that have made my projects start quicker and this has helped to save me a lot of time.

  ### 26. Loved the design tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert A. | Managing Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

What I have liked about Microsoft Publisher so far is how it comes from Microsoft Office Professional Suite bundled together with other Microsoft products and also it provides a very convenient integration capability which I have managed to utilize in my workspace with my other colleagues to share and collaborate from effectively.
I write a lot of weekly newsletters to my subordinates, themed on acknowledgements, updates among other things and what I have loved about Microsoft Publisher is the instant availability of templates to help me design quicker hence it saves me a lot of time that is normally spent on designs which is an advantage for me.
Using Microsoft Publisher is very helpful also because it has this feature that allows me to upload images straight from my company Facebook page and use them in my designs which is one of my favourite shortcuts of creating my designs for my newsletters and weekly reports.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Working with Microsoft Publisher for this long I have always disliked the way this product does not import pdf format files which has given me a lot of inconveniences in my wokflow because I always have to find other means to access the file and the information that I will be trying to use from that pdf.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

It has nice and very intuitive templates I would recommend anyone to purchase this product.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my organisation Sharepoint and One Drive are the default cloud storage and sharing platforms whereby we securely share important documents and other files but it was becoming very difficult to use another product for designs and then going back to our cloud storage for sharing the switching from one product to the other was too much for my work desktop. Microsoft Publisher solved this problem for me because of its integration with One Drive it has been very easy to upload straight from the program after designing.

  ### 28. Convenient but...

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aristide A. | Promoteur événementiel, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

This software is really well thought out by Microsoft. Being able to edit small creations (especially for non-graphic designers) is quite easy to achieve. Intuitiveness and ergonomics are at the rendezvous.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Calibrating creations for professional use is quite difficult. The output formats of the created files leave little choice. It is quite limited anyway for professional graphic designers.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned above, I manage to make small creations for limited use, and it's very practical on a daily basis. The basic templates provided are quite elaborate and help a lot.

  ### 29. An excellent tool for editing, writing, and more

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Coleman F. | Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

The customization options for images and text are great. I appreciate having the ability to edit almost anything,

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I wish Publisher was available online, as I don't always have my computer with me.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

Make sure to use the in-app image editing tools such as crop and recolor, it saves a lot of time.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's nice to be able to edit and create almost any kind of graphic design. It's beneficial to have all the tools in one place without the need to download add-ons.

  ### 30. My Microsoft Publisher Reviews

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cherry Ann O. | Customer Service Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I appreciate that Publisher is usable by folks with little to no design experience. It is simple to use and a logical replacement for those who already use a Microsoft suite. This is also the starting point for all outstanding designers.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Because the tools are restricted, the quantity of alternatives might make it tough to develop materials in a timely and effective manner.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product is something I use multiple times a week for my job, school, and hobbies. My favorite feature of this tool is the wide range of templates available for almost any topic or usage.

  ### 31. Easy to use, creative platform - Microsoft Publisher

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayush S. | Technical Account Manager, Financial Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher is a part of the Microsoft Office 365 subscription. It consists of a lot of pre-designed templates which helps you design flyers, newsletter, postcards, etc. Microsoft Publisher allows you to enter content in your designs with ease. You also can use its spellcheck feature to be sure before saving and publishing the document.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft suite is an expensive subscription service. Microsoft Publisher isn't as advance as Photoshop or Canva, but it meets basic business needs.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

If you have a Microsoft Suite license, this is an excellent software to start before moving to more advanced software like Canva or photoshop.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Publisher to design emails. We also use it to create thank you cards/greeting cards for our customers. It also helps in designing letterheads.

  ### 32. Microsoft Publisher - quick design platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avani J. | Associate - Learning and Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher is a platform that fits your diverse needs. You can design book covers, greeting cards, business cards, logos, posters, and website banners. Microsoft Publisher comes with a range of free templates that keep upgrading and adding to meet your diverse needs.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Suite is expensive to purchase. If you are working with a company and they have the Microsoft suite bought or if you have a licensed windows version - you can take full advantage of this platform.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love the platform. It helped me design the LinkedIn and /Facebook cover photo for my company. I also use the pre-designed templates to create business cards for new joiners. The offer letter and the letterheads are also designed using this platform.

  ### 33. Feature-rich platform with a familiar easy-to-use interface consistent with the Microsoft 365 suite

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

The interface is straightforward!and if you are already familiar with Microsoft Office applications, then you will not have any problems with navigating Publisher even as a first time user.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

if i recall correctly it was only supported on PC im not sure if they fixed that plus the updates are rolled out slowly.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

I'll be surprised to be recommending this because it is the go to application for desktop publishing!everyone should already use this especially when you're just starting.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Publisher has loads of templates so whatever project you are on will not be affected by lack of inspiration.

  ### 34. Microsoft Publisher Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anup J. | Office Bearer : bITeSys - System and Analytics Club, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher is a highly functional platform. It helps me design banners, postcards, business cards, logos, etc., from the same platform. I can use this software easily and use the pre-designed templates to produce fast results.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher is an excellent designing platform. It comes with the Microsoft suite package and therefore is easily accessible to the licensed audience.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

If you have a Microsoft Suite Licence - definitely use this software to the maximum.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Publisher helps me design logos for my presentations. It also allows me to create posters for my club and extra-curricular activities. Microsoft Publisher has many pre-designed templates that help you get started - and you can modify them according to your needs.

  ### 35. Not Industry Standard

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

It gives PC users the ability to work in a more fluid way to lay out pages of content without needing anything other than MS Office.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

It only works for PCs and is definitely not industry standard. If you plan on working with a "real" designer at any point, please don't make layouts in this software expecting them to be able to continue your work in Publisher. Most likely, the designer has to rebuild your layout in a more powerful software like Illustrator or InDesign.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives basic layout tools to those who have absolutely none and probably very little experience doing layout design.

  ### 36. Intuitive Application for Everyone

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

If you're the kind of person who wants to keep things simple or a professional who don't have the time for complications, then Microsoft Publisher is your friend. It has all the necessary things to get things done. It provides basic functionalities and is easy to use.

The art that I really like is that I can create paper tarpaulins as if they were real. It is very useful during celebrations.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

If you're the kind of person who's not satisfied with simplicity, then this is not for you. It doesn't have advance functionalities like those of adobe which allows you to experiment further.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

In the scale of 10, I would give 7.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I usually use Microsoft Publisher when I'm just starting and when in hurry. I get to take advantage of the apps straightforward UI which enables me to come up with designs real quick.

I get to save money from tarpaulin printing expenses whenever there's celebration.

  ### 37. Love My Microsoft Publisher

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alisha P. | Circulation Supervisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I make everything with Publisher. Schedules, checklists, and awards are straightforward to design in this program. If I need to combine an excel sheet with an infographic, I go here. It's also fun to play around with and make greeting cards, posters, and flyers.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

There isn't anything that has genuinely frustrated me about Publisher. The excel worksheet option is more elementary but still functional. I also appreciate how easy it is to manipulate objects in your document. They are not anchored to the page, so you are free to move them around with ease.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

Go for it! Publisher is fantastic and adds much-needed additions to the Microsoft platform. You can use it strictly for business and for fun. Both of which are very important in the job place! I love their templates and how you can pull templates in from Word as well. You can resize your page for whatever you need, and it keeps your most recent projects listed for you so you can get to them with ease.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft publisher has helped me with many office tasks. I can make it visually appealing and informative at the same time. The publisher is what I use when I'm getting frustrated with Word and Excel and need to move things very precisely. I have also used it to keep up morale at my job by making bingo sheets, items for our book displays, and more.

  ### 38. Publisher Drives Creativity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabe H. | Technical Solutions Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher is one of the most useful tools I've discovered in the last two or three years. It allows me to create dynamic illustrations and make content that would be impossible to make otherwise. Prior to using Microsoft Publisher, I used Microsoft Word for creating flyers or infographic. Microsoft Word was extremely clunky at doing this because it's a word processor not a publishing tool. I then started using Microsoft Power Point which was better than Microsoft Word but still clunky. My officemate informed me about Microsoft Publisher and it changed how I created flyers and infographics. The tool is so smooth and simple to use - I can tell it was designed for this purpose.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The main downside of Microsoft Publisher was the learning curve of using a new platform. This was mitigated by Microsoft Publisher having a similar user interface to the other Microsoft products but it still took me five or ten hours to really become familiar with the platform. However, once I was familiar, using Microsoft Publisher became a breeze.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Publisher has help me solve creating infographic for different organizations about new software functionality. Previously, I would create a Microsoft Power Point slide show presentation to convey this information. Now I just make an one page infographic! This is wonderful because it simplifies the process for me and allows my clients to have a single page they can look at to see all the information they need.

  ### 40. Creative Software

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahmoud o. | Mechanical Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

It is a powerful tool with different designs and templates that help to design flyers, postcards and publishing them using various features. It really save time to design from scratch

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

It doesn't come always with Microsoft office package, so it depends. Also, I believe the features given in this tool and be easily added to Microsoft word instead of creating a different one.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating and designing flyers postcards book covers greeting cards etc. Also, it helps and assist in your work overflow and shorten the amount needed to do the tasks, specially when using templates.

  ### 41. Great software for small projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcel R. | Head Chef, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

The different options for creating projects, for example, business cards, card greetings, menus, etc.
This was very helpful for school projects and work as well.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I bought the entire software; I'm not too fond of the option of a one-year subscription with this software. Unnecessary from the consumer's point of view.

I never like subscription packs for software.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps a lot for the presentation of products as restaurant menus, business cards. The software gave many options and suggestions for my needs.
My customers were pleased with the products.

  ### 42. Publisher User since the start

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rev. Alan W. | Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

When I put a picture somewhere it stays there and doesn't "Move with text" as in MSWord

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The fact that there isn't an easy way to move articles etc from Word to Pub. and that you can't use Pub as part of 365 online

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Church bulletins are easy to layout and the templates make my work a lot easier

  ### 43. Simply the BEST publishing software for non graphic designers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George A. | System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher has been my "go-to" software for so long, and I don't even remember the first version I used back in the day.
With all the updates and upgrades it got, there only but a few things you cannot accomplish with it: whether for online sharing, printing, or even creating a small and simple web page, MS Publisher can handle it all.
The newest version under OFFICE 365 has a lot more to offer, with easy integrations and many more templates to choose from: you will find what you need.
The ease MS Publisher offers you when manipulating pictures, placing objects, and inserting shapes are unmatched.
It is the first software I seek after a format or the purchase of a new computer/laptop, even before the antivirus and firewall.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

With all the ease and versatility, they still have not found a way to solve two simple issues: the first one is allowing the user to use the "F4" key, which allows you to redo the same action, and the second one is the table size manipulation.
These two points make it hard for me to admit that Microsoft Publisher is not perfect.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

Easy to use, MS Publisher can save you time, as long as the task needed is not very complex or you do not expect a high-end graphic design quality result.
It makes your life easier, very user-friendly interface and, once you get to really know it, I doubt you will be able to walk away from it.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I create a lot of tutorials and documentation for the School where I work. MS Publisher is my absolute right hand when it comes to creating a document for printing or online publishing, for internal documentation and forms, editing a picture for personal use, and even organizing events by printing cards and banners.
You can also import files from other office software and integrate them into your publication, and also export it directly into PDF format.
You need it? MS Publisher can, 99% of the time, deliver.

  ### 44. Easy-to-use poster/announcement program.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Similar to other Microsoft Office programs, Microsoft Publisher is easy to use. Moreover, it is available with the Office 365 subscription. Microsoft Publisher is similar to Microsoft Word, however, they are different in their own ways as well. While Microsoft Word is used as a memo/essay/document program, Microsoft Publisher is mainly used to create poster/announcement for the company.

Unlike Microsoft Word, if you try to make a poster/annoucement in it, it will be a nightmare. However, Microsoft Publisher simplify this by allowing users to insert new content with ease. Pictures can be insert and move around easily without any restriction.

Another feature that I like about Microsoft Publisher is that even though it is similar to Photoshop in its own way of creating a poster, unlike Photoshop, Microsoft Publisher has an embedded spelling and grammar check to help make sure that everything input is correct.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Even though Microsoft Publisher has a lot of templates for users to choose from, the template mainly rely on its internal design. This means that you won't have the ability to change the template's template if you are creating your poster/announcement from a predefine template.

Another feature that I don't like is when you try to migrate Publisher file into Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or as a simple PDF, sometimes, the format misaligned by a little bit. This is an issue because the file receiver has to manually adjust it. If 4 people receive the file using different softwares, some adjustment is required which will be a tedious process.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

If your team is not that technical or specialize in using Photoshop, I believe that Microsoft Publisher will be a good tool for you to use in creating poster/announcement/etc.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you need a program to create a poster/announcement for your company, Microsoft Publisher is the way to go. Something to note is that compared to Photoshop, Microsoft Publisher provides a limited functionality if you are going to create an intensively design poster/announcement. However, something to note as well is that Photoshop is on a different level on ease of use, Photoshop is significantly harder to use and learn.

  ### 45. MS Word, But Better

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

All Microsoft Office Suite products are helpful and valuable in their own way, and Publisher is an excellent tool for beginner-level design. I love how many pre-built templates are available and how easy it is to move elements around. For people who don't want to delve into the realm of Photoshop, this application can easily help you achieve what you want. The biggest perk is how well it integrates with other Microsoft products.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The only complaint I have for MS Publisher is that I wish there were a mobile version to increase accessibility and usability in remote settings/places it's hard to pull out my laptop.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm constantly working on creating flyers, email templates, small brochures, and MS Publisher is my go-to tool for doing so. The pre-built templates make it easy to focus on design and content versus formatting/aligning elements. This lets me focus on being productive and increases my efficiency in delivering.

  ### 46. My go to for the company newsletter

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Publisher offers a variety of templates, graphics, fonts etc that make creating the monthly newsletter a lot easier. Multiple members of the staff create their respective pages in Publisher and forward them to a specific staff member who assembles and distributes the newsletter to our staff and students.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

If you are familiar with the suite of Office products there is really nothing to dislike. The menus, shortcuts etc are all pretty much standardized across MS Office Apps, so learning new MS tools is actually quite intuitive.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The original issue we faced was receiving entries from multiple staff members in unmanageable and diverse formats. This standardized and streamlined the process for us.

  ### 47. Power User of Publisher

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Executive Office | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I love using Publisher for lots of different things. I design flyers, binder covers, table of contents, cards, letters to merge, etc.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Sometimes the program is limited in how it edits. There are still some features that I haven't used just because I haven't needed to.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem I am solving with Microsoft Publisher is the ability to create forms, merge forms, and other design items that are tricky to create in just Word or Excel. I love Microsoft Publisher for the ability to create rulers and move items forward and backward to layer items.

  ### 48. DOES NOT ALLOW FOR MULI-PERSON COLLABORATION

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly P. | Athletic Trainer

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

It allows for me to create large booklets and easily print the document in multiple ways for others to review a physical copy.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I can't stress enough how much I dislike that PUBLISHER DOES NOT ALLOW FOR EASY COLLABORATION OF DOCUMENTS, EVEN WHEN THE FILE IS SAVED TO ONEDRIVE, ONLY 1 PERSON CAN WORK ON IT AT A TIME! grrrrrrrr

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NONE

  ### 49. Excellent for Document Creation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelsie D. | Training and Communications Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I used to use Word for designing things like flyers and posters, but it can be finnicky. Publisher is specifically designed for things like this, and it works great! I like that they offer various templates for all kinds of document creation.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Since computers don't all have the same fonts, sometimes this causes an issue. I wouldn't mind changing the font to something else that is more universal, but Publisher continually gives me an error and won't let me change the font, but still lets me know that my computer doesn't host the font.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company uses Publisher to create a "passport" document for onboarding. It's a multiple page booklet, and Publisher made it super easy to make. We also use it for checklists and brochures.

  ### 50. we can call it a design tool that has the necessary tools to create a publication.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

The most important feature is that you can export your documents ready for printing directly.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Not using it too much can be considered harmful.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

The program that came to my rescue while preparing brochures. very easy to use. It is also a nice feature to have the option to save the prepared documents as pdf.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

magazines, newsletters, brochures, etc. a program that simplifies the design,
