## Microsoft Publisher Reviews
 ### 1. Easy-to-Use Layout Control for Brochures, Flyers, and Marketing Templates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew W. | Sales Administration Support, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

It is superior to Word in a couple of ways. In Word, I usually stick to standard letters and documents, but with Publisher I have much more control over layout and objects. That extra control makes it easier for me to create templates for things like blog posts and marketing materials, and to position everything exactly the way I want.

The interface is very easy to use, especially since it feels similar to Word, Excel, and the other Office programs. You can also make cool labels that are colored or include integrated graphics. To really take advantage of those features, though, it helps to have a good printer and enough ink. Overall, I find it works really well for designing and editing brochures, flyers, and similar materials.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The main issue for me is the file type. I understand that the files need to be Publisher files, but I’d really like the option to open a PDF or another format directly, without having to open it and then copy and paste the image, information, or graphics into a new document.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes designing marketing materials and blog posts much easier, in exactly the way I want to work. Essentially, it gives me more control over things like layout and colour, and because I can drag and drop elements exactly where I need them, it saves me a lot of time in the process.

 ### 2. Publisher Makes Church Bulletins Easy with Flexible Templates and Page Editing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim F. | Ministry Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I use Publisher to create worship bulletins for church. I like that I can import images, change fonts and complete most actions right from the page while I am working and not have to go into settings, etc.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I haven't really found any downsides to using Publisher. It's a lot easier than trying to set up in Word for example. the margins are easy to adjust and look more uniform than in Word.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a lot easier than trying to set up in Word for example. the margins are easy to adjust and look more uniform than in Word. Once the template is set as I want it, it is easy to duplicate the page if more space is needed. I use this weekly for bulletins and throughout the week for other projects as well!

 ### 3. Easy Integration but Needs AI Improvements

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ilan G. | Accounting Firm Manager, Accounting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I like that Microsoft Publisher helps create documents for work. It speeds up the creation of invitations and posters for work events. I find it easy to use and old school, which works for me. I appreciate how it links into all my Microsoft products and saves on SharePoint, helping to preserve the documents and share them with my teammates. The initial setup was easy, just install.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The AI features are lacking. It would be better if it included image generation models.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It speeds up the creation of invitations and posters for work events, integrates with all my Microsoft products, and helps preserve and share documents with teammates.

 ### 4. Great Performance and Integrations, but UI and Support Feel Outdated

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** G F. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

This software was very popular five years ago. Its performance, pricing, and integrations were great, and they still are. However, the support and the user interface haven’t really been upgraded over the past five years.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

AI features are absent, the user interface feels outdated, and both integrations and overall performance could be improved. Support also doesn’t seem up to date.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I only use Publisher to export my older projects.

 ### 5. Intuitive for Microsoft Users, Needs Better Text Handling

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I use Microsoft Publisher to design different flyers and promotional items for events. I appreciate that it's easy to set up initial templates for our designs and then update them each year as needed. The interface is similar to other Microsoft software, so if you're familiar with Microsoft Word, it's not too difficult to figure out. I also found the initial setup very easy, as there isn't much setup involved apart from laying out our basic templates.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I don't love how sensitive the text boxes are and sometimes words will get cut off and it is not always obvious when things need to be respaced.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Microsoft Publisher to design flyers and promo items, making it easy to set up templates and update them when needed.

 ### 6. Corny, Overly Vivid Options Almost Hurts the Microsoft Brand

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa K. | Director of Institutional Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

It is a Microsoft product. It came with the Microsoft package, but was hurting the Microsoft brand.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The way it acts like it is an artistic platform, but it is far from that. The options are too vivid, too drastic, and too corny.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was allowing my coworkers to try their hands at designing, but they always fell short because there wasn't enough that they could do.

 ### 7. Easy, Fast Graphic Design Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Ease of use; quick graphic design software

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I HATE that Microsoft is retiring the software in October 2026

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In house design for small projects without outside sourcing

 ### 8. Good Integration with Microsoft, but Publisher Lacks Unique Value and Modern Features

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle T. | Assistant Director, Corporate Relations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Publisher has some nice features and functions; and, I like that it's a part of the Microsoft program ecosystem making transfer of files and details much easier.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I believe Publisher has lost its unique value proposition. There are similar programs and find that many of the other alternatives are easier to use, have more functions, etc. If Publisher was quicker at adapting and adding functionality, I think it would be more competitve compared to competitors.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Publisher creates an environment where I can create documents with images, links, and other files...we have utilized these features for creating promotional content, like flyers, brochures, and pamphlets for Mines' various student programs.

 ### 9. Great Templates and Modularity for Easy Publishing

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas S. | Director of Marketing & Community Engagement , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I like the fact that it was once an industry standard software for document creation.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

It's old, clunky, and had it's day - I'm not surprised it is being sunset later this year. Have switched to Google Docs

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping our church produce our weekly bulletin and musical offerings each week.

As a writer, Microsoft Publisher gives me full control over layout and design, especially for formatting my books. I also used it to create promotional materials like flyers and previews for my work.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The only downside is that it's not available on my mobile phone, so I can only use it when I'm on my laptop.

Microsoft Publisher saves me time in laying out my books while helping me give them a more professional look.

It provides so many options to make great publications and it makes it easy to publish the information and put it together with other programs. I use it all the time, and implementing it with the needs of my department has been is super easy. We do not need a lot of customer support, but it is always there at the touch of a button.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

It is not always as user friendly as it could be, but it is definitely there.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me make posters and publications that Microsoft Word does not have the capabilities for.

 ### 13. I've used publisher for 25 years!

**Reviewed by:** Kevin H. | Director of Quality, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

MS Publisher is my go to app for flyers, posters, brochures, memes and banners. It is easy to use, has the traditional Microsoft Office interface. I even create images by using the export or save as function to jpeg, etc.

I always dislike changes, but each edition that is issued will have them.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jai S. | Manager Key Accounts-International Business, Consumer Goods, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Our team likes irregular cropping, good control on layers in this software. We are using it in marketing department.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The most important feature which is absent in Microsoft publisher is that we don't have any control on size of file.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Publisher:**

I recommend MS publisher as it is very popular and having support material available over internet, moreover, it is having all the features required for designing & desktop publishing.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using this software to design marketing & promotional things. This software also have abundant of training material over internet so we don't have to wait for after sales support team.

 ### 15. An old school classic for easy design

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark M. | Head Western Trainer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Really like the templates that are provided. Calendars have been very handy, business cards are useful, posters and fliers are good and I have even used the Resume in a pinch plus various other things I could do some editing to to make it my own.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Trying to transfer to other Microsoft programs is glitchy

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Good template overview and selection. I used it when I had specific items, like calendars or business cards to produce quickly. Once something was set up, very easy to modify to new projects. Fliers and even more complex documents are possible in the system and it made it a "go-to" tool for publishing.

 ### 16. So many rely on this, why is it ending?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I use Publisher to write three newsletters, make flyers, create teaching journals, and so much more. I appreciate that a photo stays where I place it, that I can wrap words into columns and on to additional pages with ease.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I dislike that Publisher is being DISCONTINUED. At least we have leadtime to find an alternative, but I am sorely diappointed at the efforts I must now take to convert legacy documents and the learning curve for a new product after over 20 years.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating classroom journals, making photo collages for social media, writing newsletters for multiple orgaizations

 ### 17. LOVE LOVE LOVE Publisher to use for marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** january l. | business development, Financial Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I can easily add images and text without messing up the whole document - its way easier to use than word for flyers, brochures etc. I use it for everything- including converting images to pdf and vice versa. It is so easy to use and implement anyone can do it from a beginner to a computer whiz. If you have any trouble you can always contact customer support. Publisher integrates with Adobe well. I use this app daily.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

There is nothing I do not like about Publisher- it is my favorite microsoft product out of all of their apps

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Publisher allows me to convert pdf and jpegs to png files and back to pdfs, I use it to create marketing flyers, announcements, documents, pdfs and more. It is like Word but only WAY better

 ### 18. Open Creativity with Microsoft Publisher's Design Creativity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elaine A. | Customer Service Representative, Consumer Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

What I like most about MS Publisher is that it has a loads of selections for the user to choose from. From the sizes to different templates available offline. It also gives ease of access when it comes to integration of other applications such Excel which has a complex program. The features and functions are easy to understand and use as well.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

What I dislike about MS Publisher is that it is solely available in Microsoft Windows operating system. I have received a lot of inquiry back when I work for Microsoft; where is MS Publisher for MacOS. Which is a bummer, since other companies do wanted to use it but has limited access to it.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Back when our institution where I worked for lacks budget for raffle ticket printing, we started making our DIY tickets for our Anniversary. We integrated MS Excel back then and it made our life easy compare to having it printed out by a printing company which is very expensive.

 ### 19. Publisher for Presenations Is Golden

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vennie K. | Owner, Writing and Editing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I have used Publisher for years, however, since the uptick of Zoom meetings and presentation, Publisher has become an incredible tool. My main love for it is the slideshows. I can put together a presentation on writing, for instance, and as I am sharing my Zoom screen, I can easily scroll from page to page. While a .pdf can also do the same thing, Publisher offers amazing design features, along with being able to embed video.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

There isn't anything I dislike about Microsoft Publisher. I find it very easy to use.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Publisher allows me to create presentations with ease.

 ### 20. The program lacks features that can make my work easier

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

It is more cheaper than InDesign. It is user-friendly although there are still some room for additional features.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The process of arranging layouts are not too accurate. The program interface can improve for more access to the necessary tools. The elements are also limited and navigating through the program is kind of a challenge.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some of my clients use Microsoft Publisher so its an advangage to have knowledge in this program.

 ### 21. Fast and easy publications

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Przemek P. | Lead, Infrastructure Specialist , Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

The publisher is especially useful when we need to create a quick and simple project where we focus on practical solutions. The product contains a lot of ready-made templates and elements to use. Integration with Office365 makes sharing or printing projects very effective and safe.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Currently, Publisher is starting to lose its distance from the competition and is slightly left behind. It offers fewer attractive visualizations or unique solutions, e.g. those generated using AI, relying instead on proven templates. The graphical interface is also unattractive compared to Canva, for example.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives me access to a design tool that they currently use mainly to create monthly calendars. I rely on a proven solution that I have been used to for a long time. Thanks to this, I usually finish my work at Publishare in a few minutes.

 ### 22. Nice but needs more tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan N. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

the best is that it can be manipalted as part of the office suite and it has the same or similar shortcuts that the most common software

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

This is not a dislike, this is more like a way to see that something is missing, As I see it Publisher could be one of the best software out in the market , but it needs more tools and more promotion, I can bet that there are some daylly computer users that don't know about it or don't know what is for

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

presetations design wokng together with powerpoint, excel and other tools but never just publisher

 ### 23. More flexibility than Word

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grace C. | International Compliance Coordinator, Logistics and Supply Chain, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I have always been much more of a fan than Word and I do think that Publisher is underrated. The flexibility of how you want the document to look in terms of position of text boxes is much more fluid in Publisher. Its an easy programme to use for quick simple projects.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Very limited in terms of templates and I do think most of them are old fashioned and out of date.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Think it is falling behind other competitiors such as Canva and most recently AI in terms of the templates and vizualiations that you can add.

 ### 24. Leave it to Publisher

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph A. | Cyber Security Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Easy to use and teach, a wide range of file types supported from PDF to even single web pages.
Publishing documents, flyers, cards, banners, etc., either printed or digitally published, is a breeze.
I love Publisher; I consider it the BEST publishing software for nonprofessionals, even though it always gives near-perfect results.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

With all its advantages, it still has quirks and sometimes mood swings.
Even though it's a member of the Microsoft Office family, it does not have the most direct shortcut all other apps do: the F4 button that redoes the last action.
Tables and cell measurements need to be addressed as well.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating every single type of digital and printed document is but a walk in the park. I have been using Publisher for over 12 years, and it has never let me down.
Mail merge, flowcharts, flyers, banners, report covers, etc. It does it all.

It is User-Friendly, has Customizable Templates, has Seamless Integration and is a Budget-Friendly Option

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Despite its user-friendliness, Publisher has limitations when it comes to advanced design features found in specialized graphic design software. These limitations can sometimes restrain my creative possibilities.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The only issue is that we cannot upscale or edit images as efficiently as we can do in any other tools. If i want to print any inage at big resolution then it cannot refine that images ad per expectation

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When i have to print very big banners or documents then it helps me in way bettway in handling that process efficiently with managed templates maker for that project to send it to other as it is.

 ### 31. A comprehensive publishing solution from Microfost

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bishnu M. | Senior Project Manager, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher is one straightforward yet powerful publishing solution that helps to design flyers, magazines, business cards, custom emails, planners, or general graphics. There are loads of fonts, shapes, and clip arts available to create professional graphics. It's flexible to design a graphic of any size. It's supper user-friendly and comes with office 365. Overall it's a great publishing tool for the price.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

It's difficult to find cons in Microsoft products. However, more graphics and template options would have been great when many other graphic design tools came up with more pre-loaded templates and graphics. Also, more options for picture frames and shadows will be great.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Publisher is a tool for creating awesome designs in a quick time. I use it for creating flyers for events and magazines in my organization. Everyone likes the layouts I made using Microsoft Publisher.

 ### 32. Great for brochures, cards, and pamphlets

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Political Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher is a great desktop tool for creating paper goods from cards, pamphlets, flyers, invitations, etc. The desktop tool lets you customize everything from font, color, and design -- all from a simple user firendly interface.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The downside is that Microsoft discontonued Publisher and was replaced with a new online version. For those who still have Pubisher on their desktop--the tool still works however, Microsoft has stopped updates/patches.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It lets you "DIY" basic paper products rather than going out of house for simple designs for flyers/invites. Great for small businesses who need to create paper goods and don't have a budget for external designers.

 ### 33. Microsoft Publisher - Surprisingly Useful and Usable Desktop Publishing!

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I like the fact that I can quickly and easily edit image and text heavy designs for printing and digital publishing, without having to mess with detailed image editing software.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I think the user experience could be improved, especially working with shapes and images. If the software could have similar functionality as Powerpoint, but with extra options optimized for publishing, that would be ideal.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Publisher is helping me to create custom digital ebooks and white papers, as well as flyers and other printable materials, without the hassle that Adobe products add.

 ### 34. Microsoft Publisher-Simple and Great tool

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher has a user-friendly interface for creating professional-level publications without having design knowledge. It has so many layouts, designs and fonts. This makes it convenient for users who start their projects.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher sometimes has compatibility issues while opening or editing other software applications. The size of the file is too large,it can impact the software's performance.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Publisher provides a wide range of pre-designed templates for different publications. These templates serve as a starting point, saving time and effort in creating designs from scratch.

Microsoft Publisher is easy to use and offers a lot of creative templates. The program is useful for both personal and business needs. Compared to other publishing programs it is straightforward and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

The only dislike I have is that some of the elements such as clip-art are dated however, those items can be found online and imported.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MS Publisher enables users to create invitations, resumes, newsletters, etc. with ease which makes certain jobs go faster because you don't have to spend time trying to figure out how to use the program. It's very user-friendly which makes it a productive tool for just about any user.

Above all, use Microsoft Publisher to do school work or assignments and some design work for small businesses, such as brochures and some infographics.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I think it still needs to unleash its potential since it is a program that is relatively for beginners, but if they focus on the target audience, they could make the most of it.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Does it benefit me in any way to create materials to disseminate information or to create marketing materials or rather advertising and school or institute work?

It's intuitive. It can achieve complex results with simple keystrokes.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

It's suddenly not a part of 365. I'm unable to use it.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to not be reliant upon the graphics team, since they are more likely to make designs more complex and not easy to alter. As if it makes them feel more valuable.

Publishers have excellent experience and are plentiful in the publishing industry. The editing process can significantly improve the final product with excellent quality. Credibility increases their chances of reaching a wider audience and opens doors to more opportunities.

Authors may face delays in getting their work published.
Publishers typically require authors to sign contracts; this may restrict the author's freedom to publish their work elsewhere.

The main significant advantage of Microsoft Publisher is its affordability. The ability to customize templates or start from scratch grants me creative freedom and ensures that my materials align with my brand.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa D. | Dispatch Coordinator, Consumer Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I absolutely love Publisher. I will always tell people it's word, but better. You can do anything you can do in word, but you can make it your own. You can add graphics and move things around the way you want them. It's Microsoft Word and Adobe Photoshop smooshed together.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I don't believe there is a down side to using Microsoft Publisher. If you are looking for more ways to modify your formatting, use Microsoft Word. If you are looking more ways to modify images, use Adobe Photoshop. Microsoft Publisher is perfect for it's intended purpose.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am always trying to create small graphics, notes, things to get people's attention, cards, charts, invitations, etc. There are so many reasons why I choose to use Microsoft Publisher.

 ### 45. Easy to use for designing newbies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shiv Shikhar S. | Tech Blogger, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I started using Microsoft Publisher almost 3 years ago, and I must say, to date, it is the easiest and most reliable program for designing visual content like brochures, invitations, cards, posters etc.
I have personally used it for my company's Letterhead and I still use it the same way, even when so many designing platforms are available. It incorporated required changes and that's the most important thing that matters to me, that the owners listen to users and imply the changes to improve the software.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

I actually don't dislike anything in the Microsoft Publisher but, I would really love if they add a few options to edit images that we import in Publisher as in today's world, sometimes it is needed to have those options.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Almost 3 years back, when I started working as a technical manager in my company, I did not know anything about designing, So, I heard about Microsoft Publisher, as it does not require that much of knowldege and It helped me to scale the services of my company and it look the least time to design as there are templates which help you to do so. Hence, it saved me time, a ton of money, and worry to hire a designer for my company at that time as we were new.

 ### 47. Best desktop publishing software till date!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher is a nice software for creating print publications with an ease. It is really intuitive and easy to use even for the beginners. It contains several templates which are best suited for any occasion or event both formal and casual. It helps add a visual pop to our publications with its texts and image effects. One can find template for birthday cards, brochures, tabloids, menu card etc here.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Microsoft Publisher is a really good tool for learning and creating creative stuff. It might be a little overwhelming for the first time users. Also the templates in the Microsoft Publisher requires an urgent updation, so users can have more attractive options to choose from.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As the creative head, I am using Microsoft Publisher on a daily basis to create our business magazine, business cards, event posters, brochures, and e-books etc. It helps me create and design the creative stuff in a matter of minutes which makes my job whole lot easier. I have even given basic training to my peers and colleagues so that they can use Microsoft Publisher.

 ### 48. Easy to use, but not very powerful

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

I like that for people who have absolutely no experience designing things, Microsoft Publisher is very easy to use. There are lots of different templates that you can start with.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

While the software is easy to use for beginners, I feel like if you are doing more advanced graphic design, the tool is much too simple. It is more difficult to do more advanced operations that using a dedicated graphic design software.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to quickly create business cards, address labels, and other documents that don't need heavy graphic design. Because it has templates, I can do this in less time than if using other software.

 ### 49. profesional software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parth C. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

it is a professional software which helps to print publications, it helps in graphic designing and is simple to learn. One can desighn posters banners notices etc.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

it's perfect software there is nothing which i dislike, its fairly simple to learn from tutorial videos on youtube

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since I am not a professional graphic designer. I use Microsoft Publisher to design my own posters, banners, notices etc which is used for my small side business which me and my wife run from home.

 ### 50. You get everything you need to design your own material

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aswathy B. | Business Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Publisher?**

Anyone is able to easily use the publishing feature Microsoft publisher provides. Other than the n number of pre-defined templates I can easily search for more templates using the search link. Publisher identifies the spelling and grammar errors and provides inline notifications for the same. What I like most is
1)Predefined shapes
2)Specific Menu option
3)Work well with office suits
4)Custom guidelines
5)Several wizards
6)Manipulate the features like text, page size etc

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Publisher?**

Though Microsoft publisher provides me with hundreds of templates I don't get many options to change the template formatting. One of the challenging disadvantage I see is Publisher convert imported data from another source to an image so one should be very careful validating the source data before importing it to Publisher.

**What problems is Microsoft Publisher solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to easily build and customize my publications by giving pre-made elements. The design checker helps to review my final content and highlights me for any design problems.
